first of all i'm writing this on behalf of the "Bioshock Infinite Contest" here on Cheerful Ghost, however that doesn't mean Bioshock wouldn't deserve something written about it otherwise especially with the name game in the series "Bioshock infinite" right around the corner.

well then:
Back when bioshock came out and i finally got to play it i thought it was an amazing game in all possible aspects though ever so slightly disturbing or freaky at times but the mix kept you on the edge of your seat since you never knew what to expect, all in all the game was enjoyable for most people since it had a fun way of getting you accustomed to new powers or game mechanics (for instance those fun little videos that came with the different powers which looked like 50's adds) and meanwhile had a (somewhat) heavy story in the background, i enjoyed toying with different powers and due to the available variety everybody could get a play style that worked for them and was perhaps unique (at least within a group of friends) while i personally didn't care much for the underlying story i still followed it wondering how it would develop further.

my expectations:
What i expect from bioshock infinite is a little bit more seriousness than the first game (regrettably) and more straightforward battles since as far as i could tell by the trailers i watched the amount of available powers and the significance of those powers has become quite a bit less while back in the first bioshock you couldn't get through some areas without certain powers i don't expect that to be the case too much in this new release and some aspects even remind me of a less stealthy "dishonored" though that isn't entirely fair to the game since the plans have been announced for years and the bioshock franchise was the first to come up with those wacky powers, so i genuinely hope that they managed to distinguish themselves from dishonored enough to make this new title into a huge success, the prospect of co-op multi-player seems very promising and fun but the only thing we can do for now is wait and see how it all unfolds (and hope my computer can handle it).

to everybody: Happy hunting.
