Age of Mythology: Retold Launches in 2024!

Microsoft is finally capping off it's turn based strategy remakes with Age of Mythology: Retold which looks to remake the old game with an entirely new engine. Microsoft has given this treatment to Age of Empires, Age of Empires II, III and now ending with Age of Mythology. I always enjoyed playing Age of Mythology with my friends because it contained much of the core gameplay of Age of Empires with the added benefit of massive Titan Gods that would awesomely lay waste to everything. Age of Mythology: Retold looks to be coming to PC and XBox in 2024!

SimCity 2000 30 Years Later

When I'm thinking of my favorite SimCity games SimCity 2000 on Mac tops my list with SimCity on Super Nintendo coming in a distant second. SimCity on Super Nintendo is much more accessable but SimCity 2000 really ratchets up the gameplay making SimCity a much deeper game.

Returning to Monkey Island - Noclip Documentary

Return to Monkey Island is the final installment that capped off the original Monkey Island games in 2022. Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman came back and according to most fans, the game was a success. Recently I watched the Noclip Documentary that covers the original games as well as the new Return to Monkey Island in one of the better game docs I've seen in quite some time. That said, if you haven't played the games the documentary contains massive spoilers for the whole series.

DOOM Turns 30: Celebrate with John Carmark and John Romero

DOOM is 30? Oh yeah, right, right I'm very old.

DOOM is one of those games I have running on nearly everything and most recently played it on my Steam Deck and it's still fantastic. To celebrate the 30th of DOOM John Romero released Sigil 2 which you can get for free within DOOM or nab the free WAD from John's site as well as a Physical version.

The Angry Video Game Nerd Reviews His Favorite Game of All Time: Final Fantasy VI

"In Angry Video Game Nerd episode 212, The Nerd crosses another game off his bucket list with the Super Nintendo RPG classic, Final Fantasy III... or Final Fantasy VI as its known outside the States!"

The Nerd isn't wrong, Final Fantasy VI is one of the greatest games of all time. If you've yet to play it or if you are long time fan, his review is well worth the watch. I plan on replaying this game again soon I'm just wondering if I should play the new pixel remaster or the original Super Nintendo version?

The Fallout TV Show Trailer Looks Incredible!

I never considered that Amazon would pay for a Fallout TV show much less that it would look as incredible as this trailer does! I also appreciate that they are not retelling a Fallout video game story and the show is just another story in the Fallout world.

The first episode of the new Fallout show releases on Amazon April 12th and I will absolutely be watching each one.
