In case you miss the slight mention of this in my Extinction post,.....Ark is now available on iOS and Apple mobile devices for free! Feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think of it. I imagine there's a Local (single player) mode, like the PC has, otherwise you'll be playing with random people.

My phone is incompatible so let me know what you think! It obviously doesn't look as great as it does on PC, but at least this gives you an opportunity to experience the game for free!

Collected rocks and seashells. Then I punched a tree to get wood to make a pick axe.

10/10

Use your pick on a tree, get more thatch and wood, use pick on stone, get stone and flint, make hatchet. :)

I'll let you know what happens after that.

WHEN DO I GET DINOSAUR TO RIDE? AFTER 15 MINUTES OF PUNCHING DINOSAURS? I CAN DO THAT!

LOL Were you able to create a local game to play or did you have to join a server? You can knock out some dinos by punching them, but they either fight back or run away. A slingshot makes that easier. I thought the video showed Ark in "potato mode." LOL

They have a local game option that I selected! Good to know that fighting Dinosaurs doesn't let them become something you can ride! How long into the game does it take before you can ride one?

You can punch them and knock them out and tame them, it's just not too easy. You can ride one as soon as you can craft a saddle for one.
