Hi all! We're working on a post about all of our gaming predictions for 2018, and we need your help! We're reaching out to CG users to get 3 predictions (or less) they have for 2018 in gaming. Please try to keep each prediction to a paragraph or less.

Making this fun is encouraged. If one can be particularly wild, odd or bold without being offensive that would be great. Or they all can be, whatever.

Sorry for the short notice but we need these in by this upcoming Monday the 8th @ Noon PST/3PM EST and will subsequently post the list that night.

We will group the predictions in the post and cite who made what in a style similar to our interview format.

The movie IT, but instead of Pennywise, it's Jon's favorite character!

Wait a minute. Did you hear that? That, that sound?
Boom boom Boom!
That didn't come from the troglodytes. No, that, that came from something else.
The Timogorgon!

So I've been wanting to change my Cheerful Ghost and twitter handle for some time now. Whiteboyslim is a name I've used for a very, very long time. But as I'm getting older it's making less and less sense, not to mention identifying as "Whiteboy" seemed to have a lot less baggage back in the late 90's, early 00's.

After binging Stranger Things season two this last week with my wife I finally came up with a name that's fun, easy to remember, not already taken on twitter, and doesn't send you to weird places... Read All

I have been playing a lot of Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on my Switch. Is anybody else still playing this? I finally beat it once, but I feel it was the luck of the draw on items rather than my skills. Does anybody have any good play tips?

So, I found Spright on google images and I have been using him for my profile picture for my Google account, Steam, Discord, etc. I was wondering if this was alright since I do not make any profit from this?

Is anybody planning on picking up destiny 2 for the pc next month? I may pick it up if CG is going to spin up a team.

Today at 12pm pacific, IGN and the Video Game History Foundation are teaming up for a 5 hour stream of them playing "a slew of rare things, including canceled games, unreleased consoles, forgotten preview builds, and much more." This is also a fundraising event for VGHF which looks like it perserves old games and consoles. I don't know much about the charity, but the event seems pretty cool. I will be checking it out.

For more info on how to watch it, go here:

In the hopes of making my workstation more efficient, I've been experimenting with different application launchers. When I was on the Mac, I was using a program called DragThing, and I loved it. Now that I'm on Windows, I've found a couple that work well enough, but nothing that I really loved. Then I stumbled on Launchy, which is similar to Spotlight on the Mac: A pop-up search field that lets you search for and launch the application your looking for, without the need for mouse clicking. I never gave this option much thought, until I started using it. Now I find it highly useful, to the point that I can't imagine having never used it.

As great as this is, now I'm... Read All

I signed up for the Paladins Console Beta at https://www.paladins.com/ps4-beta-signup/ a little while ago. Being a fan of the game on PC (I run it on Linux under Wine) and already being familiar with Hi-Rez Studios' PS4 port of their exciting action MOBA, Smite, this was a no-brainer. Didn't expect to get an invite any time soon as I'm not a pro-tier player and rarely play in the competitive queue. However, I did get my invite…to the closed Alpha test.

Hi-Rez seems committed to making games that fans like to play. They also like to encourage people to play with friends. Smite often has weekends where there are bonuses for being in a party and Paladins has a permanent... Read All

Jack has never built a PC.

Rich has built a PC.

Rich has the fantastic idea of hooking up a heart rate monitor to Jack as Jack build's his first PC.

This was actually a lot more enjoyable to watch than I thought it would be! I did watch all 4 hours and 49 mins of it (over the course of 2 days). There is a lot of good banter between Jack and Rich, and the twitch viewers were both helpful and entertaining in their hazing of Jack.

Enjoy!
