Star Wars
Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke's Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Empire. Although Obi-Wan sacrifices himself in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader, his former apprentice, Luke proves that the Force is with him by destroying the Empire's dreaded Death Star.

If you are curious where this fits into the Star Wars cannon it appears to take place directly after Rise of Skywalker and I imagine isn't directly considered canonical as it alters the Star Wars timeline considerably due to a fun plotline involving time travel. If you enjoy watching holiday films this time of year and have Disney+ and dig Star Wars this is for you.

You may notice we are a bit late with this one, and as you listen you might notice from date cues that we recorded this a while back. With people across the world protesting for a great cause, our podcast seemed less important, and we didn't feel the timing was great for releasing new episodes. We hope listening to this can give you a fun reprieve from reality, but please don't let us, or anything, distract you from the importance of what's going on around us.

This is a huge spoiler but is 30 seconds cut right out of the film so if you don't want that spoiled don't click play. That said, if you are interested in discussing it do so in the comments.
Lucasfilm also revealed another few minute spot highlighting the legacy of Star Wars linked below....

There is no way Rian Johnson is making another Star Wars movie with the amount of hate his movie (rightfully) received. I appriciate that he tried something new, but it was just a terrible movie.
(I hate sounding so negative. I am glad there are people out there that like The Last Jedi)
