Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke's Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Empire. Although Obi-Wan sacrifices himself in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader, his former apprentice, Luke proves that the Force is with him by destroying the Empire's dreaded Death Star.

This years Star Wars Celebration in the UK was the place to be for rabid fans of all things Yoda. Star Wars Celebration is a yearly convention that talks about what's happening in the Star Wars universe by way of panels, interviews, art exhibits and expo floor. The above link is to the Mark Hamill interview where he talks about his short work on Episode VII, the old trilogy and drops a few incredible lines in the voice of the Joker from the recent Killing Joke animated film. There were a couple panels that Disney hasn't released footage of yet namely the Rogue One panel, which I can't wait to watch. I've collected more links to some of the more interesting stuff from... The Floppotron is an impressive creation built from hacked floppy drives and other old PC hardware to create musical tones and then made to work together to recreate the Star Wars main theme.

Can General Solo get these people a medal?

"How does it work? The principle is simple. Every device with an electric motor is able to generate a sound. Scanners and floppy drives use stepper motors to move the head with sensors which scans the image or performs read/write operations on a magnetic disk. The sound generated by a motor depends on driving speed. The higher the frequency, the greater the pitch. Hard disks use a magnet and a coil to tilt the head. When voltage is... Read All

It's important you take time out of your day to watch the video above. I know it might seem far fetched but Graham Putnam's video casts serious doubts on the story we've all been spoon fed. It's time we all woke up to this truth and this video deconstructs the administrations narrative and the key players involved. It's nice to know people like Graham can spend the time to research such an important topic and I urge you to watch this video before it is censored to keep it from spreading.

Rogue One: A Star Wars story has been in production since 2013 and today we received the first proper trailer. The movie comes out this December 16th and from the trailer, I can't wait. Unlike the early trailers for The Force Awakens Rogue One features some character information and the basic plot of the film. Jyn Erso seems to be taken into custody by the Rebel Alliance and asked to join a special team to help steal the plans for the Empires ultimate weapon...

*spoiler alert for Episode IV A New Hope*

... The original death star. Since Rogue One is before A New Hope this film chronicles the Rebel Alliance and it's attempts to steal the Death Star readout used the by... Read All

Star Wars The Force Awakens was finally released on Blu-ray yesterday and like many eager fans I devoured the special features that evening. It was some of the most fun i’ve had watching special features in quite some time but before we get into all that we need to talk about something else first.

Save Yourself The Pain and Just Buy The Normal Blu-ray Version Of This Movie

One way to upset fans is to hype something up and under deliver. The Force Awakens was a well hyped movie but for all of that it completely delivered and was well received by fans as well as myself. So when they mentioned the Blu-ray was coming out with a boatload of special features I was in.... Read All

So yeah, I have a huge weakness for Star Wars and as such want to own them all. If Disney relaunched the unedited original trilogy i'd buy them yet again so it's not a huge leap to get The Force Awakens on BluRay when it ships in April. Today Disney dropped information about that launch and The Force Awakens will be released first on digital April 1st and on BluRay on April 5th. For the digital platforms that support special features and barring a Target BluRay exclusive the digital and BluRay version seem to come with the same amount of special features. If you are interested in all the information on the release check the Disney link below.

"Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on February 15, 2016."

This fills my heart with fan girl excitement. This year Star Wars Rogue One will launch but next year we will all be able to bask in Episode VIII. Rian Johnson, the director of Looper is at the helm of Episode VIII and I have no doubt it should be pretty darn incredible.

The Force Awakens was the biggest movie launch in 2015 and as such there is going to be many behind the scenes videos about it. I've seen some really interesting stuff and wanted to share those with you. The first one shared above is a short about the Holochess easter egg in The Force Awakens. It was filmed using a very similar stop motion animation style and people connected with the original film to give the scene the authentic feel they were going for. YouTube channel Tested also did a separate video where they interviewed everyone involved with the Holochess scene and it covers much of the stuff in the official video above but is from a slightly different...
