How many times do you all plan on watching The Force Awakens while it's still in theaters?

As I kinda mentioned, this is pretty much why I decided to see The Force Awakens. I wanted to join you guys and I was so glad that I was able to.

Sorry I was late, I was busying playing Ark. =) I finished with Fallout 4 and moved on to Legacy of the Void, but I've run into some difficulty and Ark came out with another seasonal event.

=) It was cool being able to watch the roundtable live and particpate. It took me a bit to figure out how to ask a question, but I obviously figured it out. I'd love to join again in the future!

I don't know about the "have enough games for the next couple of months." Ark is in development and is frequently updated, so that could continue to keep me occupied. I took a break from it to play Fallout 4, but then finished with that. Legacy of the Void keeps snagging me. I saw some of the games on sale, including the Star Wars bundle I mentioned, but I still don't know. I can't really think of anything I really want. I absolutely hate the feeling of finishing a game and moving on to something else, or rather especially when I don't know what to move on to. That creates a hole I seek to fill.

Well I thought the movie was good, but our 3D experience was horrible. I don't know what was wrong, whether it was the glasses or the projector, but it was hardly 3D. It was more like "beer goggles" vision. But, I liked the movie and so did Vinny. =)

Simply amazing. Easily better than the prequels, by leaps and bounds. Possibly higher than fourth place.

I need to watch it again (and again, and again) but I'm thinking it's at least number 3, maybe number 2 for me. But that could just be the hype. It's so significant for me because it's the first Star Wars film I've seen in theaters for the first time that didn't disappoint me, so I'm still riding that high.

Get Caught Up On Star Wars By Watching Them All At Once

Many Star Wars fans are marathoning all the Star Wars films before they see The Force Awakens. Seriously, I sort of respect that sort of thing but it doesn't really work for me. In days past i'd do that and then go see the new film with the fresh thoughts of the old ones in my mind. Often it creates a very hard situation where since the thought of the other films are so fresh, I compare it more than I would if some time has past since my last viewing. That said, if you can marathon films and enjoy the new ones, more power to you and if you want to do it faster than ever check out the fan edit above of all 6 Star Wars films at the same time.

Star Wars week continues with this hilarious new Saturday Night Live short. They really capture the disparity between kids and nerdy adult toy collectors. I really want to keep all my awesome stuff behind glass too because dammit, these toys are not for playing with!

60 Minutes Segment on John Williams New Force Awakens Music

This 60 minutes inside look features John Williams scoring the new Force Awakens opening scene. It also features and interview with JJ as well as an all new never before seen scene with BB8 and Rey. It's a scene from the film and doesn't spoil anything, but skip over this entire video if you want to avoid seeing parts of the film beforehand. The tone and feel of the shot is 100% Star Wars and if the whole movie is like this, we are all in for a good time!

Just Let It In - The New Star Wars Force Awakens Trailer

The new Star Wars Force Awakens trailer dropped. I liked it but it surprised me. We now have a few questions answered in that Finn was/is a Stormtrooper and that Kylo Ren(the sith in the trailer) wants to finish what Darth Vader started. It shows a ton more footage and what I imagine is some of John Williams new score. Han Solo seems to be discussing the force with Finn and Rey which is odd because I always imagined people knew what happened after the battle the moon of Endor.

I really don't know where this movie is headed and at this point, I don't think that's a bad thing.

I love that people don't know everything that happened, and treat the events of the past movies as legends. It shows the whole galaxy isn't well-connected and some people only ever heard stories passed around. It's a nice detail.

They are seriously teasing with the lack of a Luke reveal. He's not in the poster or the trailers. Some people are theorizing that he's Kylo Ren but I doubt that.

Adam Driver is Kylo Ren so yeah, I mean MAYBE it's a huge fake out but... I don't think it is.

EPISODE VII - FINDING LUKE SKYWALKER!

That said, my thought is (i've read nothing BTW this is just nerd thoughts) that Luke he Darth Vaders son right? Darth Vader who killed so many and I imagine many people hate. So he might have gone into hiding to avoid people trying to kill him? In fact, admitting your the son and daughter of Anakin Skywalker might not be a safe thing to admit. So my guess is he is in hiding because of that, some forces in the universe think he might be too powerful to be left alive.

At the end of Jedi the audience knows what happened. We know Luke, Han, Leia and Chewie and how that all ended. That said, from the perspective of everyone else in the galaxy they don't. It wasn't broadcast to everyone. So yeah, I guess they might only have heard rumors about it. Maybe some people still think the Emperor is alive?

Also, I would have guessed the Rebels would be huge at this point but the trailer doesn't make that out to be the case at all. They seem just as rag tag as ever. Again, not a problem but they are taking this in a direction I never considered and that doesn't seem like a bad thing.

I dunno, Star Wars has always appealed to kids, and the merch has always been a booming part of Star Wars. Tattooine has become kinda the default place to start a trilogy so it's like an homage and tradition at the same time. The trailers so far haven't felt epic and over the top like the episode 1 trailers. And the storm troopers getting a redesign is just making them look more modern to fit with the times.

Of course there are major similarities but I just don't see Episode VII being about trade negotiations and having annoying lizard people.

Yeah, I saw that thanks. No what we knew is that he was wearing Stormtrooper armor, which if they took a few clips from Luke and Han from Episode IV people may have guessed they were too. Which was fun of them to put that in the first one, because is he a Stormtrooper OR was just wearing the armor.

It sounds like Mark Hamil, and it's the same dialogue Luke said to Leia on Endor (plus that added little bit at the end), so I think it's him. Mark Hamil's voice has held up pretty well over the years. Possibly due to his extensive voice-over work? :)

I was excited about the trailer drop today but I wasn't expecting it to be so good. I've watched a bit of the Star Wars Celebration stream as I worked today and the fan response to the trailer has been pretty great. Vaders burned helmet, the Star Destroyers in ruin and Han and Chewie wrapping it all up.

Like WBS I was also trying to temper my excitement but... You know, I am only human.

Yeah, it does seem to be from ROTJ then. Nice touch though, taking something from the old film. The music in the trailer is from the Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones trailer and it works very well here.
