Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Coming Out of Their Shells & TMNT Easter Eggs

I recently found an article on GameSpot, which covers the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Coming Out of Their Shells album and tour. I had this on cassette. I definitely remembered some songs, but it seems I forgot others. The article gives some interesting details on how the album and tour went. It also includes a documentary and the entire episode of Oprah that they were guests on. It's interesting to watch, at least for nostalgic value. Recommended Watching: Star Trek Picard

Star Trek Picard is a new Star Trek series that premiered on CBS All Access. It currently only has one season, but is apparently getting at least a second. From the trailers we can see that Picard has settled down to retirement on his family vineyard. He meets up with a girl named Dahj, who comes to him for help. We see her fighting in one scene. There are also other images that only give us questions about what’s going on.

Some of those questions include the following:

Who is Dahj and why does she need help from Picard?

Why is Picard talking to Commander Data, who sacrificed himself to save Picard in the last TNG movie?

Star Wars Rebels is Awesome! (No Spoilers)

Star Wars Rebels is awesome! It’s a CGI animated show with four seasons. It transpires outside of the Skywalker saga, but it contains many connections to other Star Wars media, including films. In fact, the main ship in this show is called the Ghost and it appears in Rogue One and The Rise of Skywalker. The main droid in this show also gets a very brief cameo in Rogue One. This show covers the crew of the Ghost and their place in events between The Clone Wars (show and movie) and Rogue One.

The Mandalorian is Awesome! (No Spoilers)

The Mandalorian is a new Star Wars show streaming on Disney+. It currently only has one season, but it seems to have been received well. It follows a Mandalorian bounty hunter, most call him "Mando." He gets a great bounty, which leads to the plot of the first season. The season kind of ends on a cliff hanger, showing that there is (or could be) more to come. I do believe it has been given a green light for season two.

Game of Thrones is Totally Epic! (No Spoilers)

You may have heard about a show on HBO called Game of Thrones. Hopefully you haven't heard too many spoilers, if you haven't seen it. GoT is a totally epic show. It blends together elements of many genres such as horror, drama, fantasy, and more. I personally like to binge watch GoT as each hour long episode keeps me wanting more to the point where it's hard to stop watching. There are eight seasons, each with 10 episodes, except for the last two.

My Favorite PC Enthusiast YouTube Channels

I am primarily and strongly a PC gamer. It hasn't always been this way, but it's been this way much more in my life than I've been a console gamer. I've had a computer since I was really young and over the years I've learned a lot about them. I consider myself a PC enthusiast. This is something well known of me, so people have often come to me with their computer questions or tech support needs. I did, after all, work in tech support for a few years at my local community college. While programming really isn't my "thing," PC hardware is. JayzTwoCents is a channel I found this summer and it's risen really high on my list of favorite channels. Jay is real, he makes mistakes and isn't afraid to admit when he's wrong or that he's made a mistake. He definitely has skills and knowledge and often shares this with his viewers. He does a lot of PC builds for different people or for different budgets and needs. He also does a lot of hardware testing, giving viewers the information they need to make an informed purchase. I really recommend checking this channel out. I've embedded one of his videos about upgrading a 10 year old PC. You can do so surprisingly cheap. Linus Tech Tips (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXuqSBlHAE6Xw-yeJA0Tunw) and Techquickie (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0vBXGSyV14uvJ4hECDOl0Q) are basically a two in one. Both are good channels for learning about technology in general, not just PC tech, but you will find plenty of information regarding PC tech. Many of the videos are very short, but informative. Many of them are also related, which, if your an enthusiast, means there's plenty to see. I recommend these channels for all interested in technology, but especially for those that are new and wanting to learn more about it.

Knowledge Is Awesome

Do you ever find yourself wondering some random things? Like, why do loaves of bread come with an odd number of slices? Are there other things you want to learn more about, like ancient civilizations and creatures? The pursuit of knowledge is awesome. Google and YouTube are two really good ways to learn about things in general. I enjoy learning things and I thought I'd share with you some channels I've found on YouTube.

How to Block Unwanted Calls and Texts

Unwanted calls and texts are not just annoying, but they’re also quite disruptive. They can wake you up in the middle of the night or distract you while driving. Often they are “robocalls,” which are pretty much automated calls or texts that are sent to very many people. They often cover different topics such as warranties, credit card debt, student loan debt, and more. They cal also be scams by people trying to get you to give them some money. Some will pretend to be the IRS and scare you into giving them some money. This is a big problem and they’re on the rise. Luckily, we’re not completely defenseless. People have been caught sending unsolicited calls and texts or even just scamming some one out of money and they have paid some very hefty fines (including jail or prison time) for it.

One of the most basic things you can do about this is to simply not answer or reply to any number that you do not recognize. This doesn’t stop them, so one of the best solutions, I’ve found, is to download a free app for your phone that can do just this. I downloaded one from the Google Play Store called Anti-Nuisance. Basically, what this app has allowed me to do is to set up a “white list” of callers I will accept phone calls and texts from and it will block everything else. I still get them, but my phone doesn’t ring or beep at me. The app quietly blocks them and gives me a silent notification that tells me how many calls or texts it has blocked. If I want, I can go into the log in the and look at what it has blocked. I can even set up a time period of when I will accept calls and texts, so that they don’t interfere with my sleep. Of course, I could just simply turn off my phone while sleeping or only turn it on when I want to use it, but I do like to use my phone’s alarm clock.

This has become a recent problem for me, I’ve even thought about changing my phone number. My service provider doesn’t seem to have much defense against unwanted calls and texts, so I had to find my own way of dealing with them. Thus, I wanted to share this with you. The app I use is free, but contains ads. There are also optional features with other providers that may cost additional money, but may be worth it if this is plaguing you, too.

I recently found a new-to-me really awesome YouTube channel that I must share with you, because I'm sure you'll love it, too! New Rockstars covers a lot of "geek" material about movies and TV shows that we love such as Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and more! There are very many videos you can watch in 10 minutes or less, but you could also stick around for about half an hour or more for a movie breakdown.
