I think I want to pick these up but I am curious what peoples thoughts are about them both?

Played the Blood Dragon demo on the PS3 and it was a blast. Not sure about FC3.

Blood Dragon is entirely separate from FC3, so it's not DLC. The humor is cheapshot 80's snark but works for the tone of the game.

I didn't know there was a PS3 demo out, totally going to download that tonight and check it out. Steam gets few demos, I guess PC players are more apt to just buying the game outright?

Not sure why there isn't one for the PC. Haven't gamed on the PC in so long this all feels new again.

I did see a post come through IGN's newsletter a few months back about a dev who stated that demos lead to fewer sales. Skimmed the article and thought, douchebag devs lead to even fewer sales. :)

Hahahaha they do.

I imagine that demos do lead to fewer sales. But I bet its not for any reason other than the demo allows people to realize a potential buy could indeed suck. For instance, I have dodged the bullet on a few games because the demos sucked. Then again, I bought games because the demos were really good. So I think it goes both ways, but yeah, if a game does its thing in 15 minutes and its not great then I imagine most wouldn't buy it.

Since I don't have the luxury of spending $180-240 every week when new titles launch, I've had to be pretty selective. Demos have helped me determine when to spend on what.

I agree, demos are really great for helping pick the great games.
