So, I went to my local Kroger today to get some groceries and was surprised to see a Sega Genesis for sale! The last time I was there, I noticed there was an Atari for sale. Apparently, both consoles have been released in new versions. This Genesis that I picked up is very small and comes with two wireless controllers, but is compatible with classic wired controllers (not included). It contains 80 built-in games. I'm very excited about this because I've been wanting a Sega Genesis for many, many years now. This console is compatible with Genesis game carts, but having built-in games, means that I don't have to try to locate carts for some of my favorite games for the console.

This is very cool. I'm definitely going to have to look into this!

How are the wireless controllers? I've read some bad reviews about them. But the rest seems awesome.

And does it have Toejam & Earl? I loved that game as a kid!

Doesn't look like it includes Toejam and Earl.

The controllers seemed to work fine for me. I didn't like the very small screw that I had to take out to insert batteries. I had trouble getting that screw back in, so I just left it out. I played Sonic a bit, my son played it and some of the other games, too. Looking at the list of games, it doesn't seem to have Toejam & Earl. Jurassic Park was one of my favorite games on the console, but it doesn't seem to be included either.

Oh man, Jurassic Park on the Genesis was frustrating as hell, but a lot of fun. I had forgotten it existed.
