I once played this game online over a modem. Honestly, I don't remember if it was 14.4 or 56k.
It was with a good friend's brother in law.The game was really intense, but I managed to build a nuke over time. He had the upper hand by that point, until I wiped out his commander with a nuke.
I lost the telephone connection and within seconds the phone rang. He was pretty steamed, saying that we had never decided before the game that nukes were ok to use. Heck, we never had a pre-war pow wow about any of the weapons. All's fair in love and computer wars.

Playing strategy games with friends is really fun!

Bummer nukes were not allowed, ive played games with friends where they don't like me to use nukes. Something about making it hard to trade for supplies or something. :)
