A free update recently dropped in the laps of all Legend of Dungeon fans. The game finally gets some cool new unlockable classes including pets! Getting more build diversity sounds like a good move as it will give the game even more replayability.

Robot Loves Kitty just dropped Legend of Dungeon 1.0 today after a great beta period. The game has really improved over the last few months of refinement and I think it is well worth a look if you peeked early or haven't yet.

Legend of Dungeon is a new Indie Game that is reviving the Rogue-like in a fresh way. They are planning a few more large content updates after 1.0 in terms of a in-game pet system and player classes. I talked with Alix and Calvin a bit about this at PAX and what they have planned sounds very interesting.

You can nab the game for Mac, Linux and Windows for $15.

Since I bought it, Legend of Dungeon has become one of my most beloved games of 2013. Since Legend of Dungeon is a rogue-like, each play session is different and I do a bit better each time I keep at it. Recently I made my way to the 11th floor, something I am very happy about. Right off the bat I got an Axe that ramped up my attack power to 30 and that helped immensely. Since the Axe is so large, you can't swing it as fast as the sword but since it hits so hard its a good trade. I also obtained a fair amount of Apples and the potion randomization was kind as well. All in all, getting to floor 11 was a nice milestone to hit and I am excited to progress further. The... Read All

I recorded 3 Let's Plays this weekend and I leave you with the finale, my recent play through of The Legend of Dungeon. Its actually a pretty good run until I... overshoot a jump into a Lava Pit. That said I collected a ton of Apples and found a neat hat, so I have that going for me at least.

I nabbed The Legend of Dungeon off the humble store and have been playing it a bit over the last few days. Its a really fun hack-n-slash roguelike with a really beautiful pixel-art tone. I am not amazing yet, as seen in this video but its a pretty good walkthrough of how the game plays and how awesome it looks.

Like most roguelikes you can spend a few minutes playing or hours, its really up to you how many times you want to keep playing.

...the game is about dying, and treasure!

After being successfully Kickstarted, The Legend of Dungeon needs a few Greenlight votes to make it to Steam. This game looks like a really awesome retro roguelike that has an really interesting dark pixel style.
