The Mother 4 Fan Project Is Reborn as Oddity!
I've been covering the Mother 4 fan game since 2013 as it's one of the best looking fan projects I've seen. Recently the project rebranded the game from Mother 4 to Oddity to avoid trademark and copyright issues with Nintendo. This is a pretty good idea to give the project a long life and also, make a few bucks if they want to sell it or take donations. The project looks largely the same as before and I hope it keeps the massive homage to the Mother series.

Fan Game Mother 4 On Track For June Release
As a big fan of Earthbound I have been really excited for Mother 4. Since Nintendo doesn't seem interested in making a new Mother game, fans took it on themselves to work on something new. The Mother 4 team has been busily working on the game and last year mentioned a 2015 release date. Today they dropped a new trailer and a tentative release date of June with the new trailer game footage. I like how similar the feel is to Earthbound while proving a more modern take on the classic pixel art.

Oh and Mother 4 will release for free on PC, Mac and Linux.

Mother 4: An Upcoming Fan Made "Earthbound Game"
Yes, you heard correctly. Some seriously dedicated fans to the Earthbound/Mother series have taken it upon themselves to create Mother 4. Oh, and it looks awesome too.
