So in the game you head to the Zoras Domain. As you arrive you find out Princess Ruto is inside Lord Jabu-jabu and you need to head inside his belly and help her out. Inside his belly is basically you find her and the boomerang as well as a map and compass like the usual Zelda dungeon. Which is odd considering you are literally walking inside him in those levels.

OK, that makes perfect sense, yeah. It was always odd that the map to Zelda dungeons was inside the dungeon. It makes sense gameplay-wise, but in-world it seems a strange place to put it.
