Another bit of news out of BlizzCon 2018 was word of a new mobile Diablo game called Diablo Immortal. It looks to bridge the gap between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 and so far pricing isn't known but it seems like it might be free to play. I'm not sure how free to play Diablo would work but with the massive popularity of Fallout Shelter and other mobile free to play titles, I wonder if Blizzard is interested in getting in on that action?
It seemed people were expecting news of a new Diablo game but this doesn't quite seem like what people were expecting. If it is a free to play Diablo game that might be interesting if it wasn't too annoying with it's free to play component. That said, this game looks like a simplified Diablo III and i'm not sure i'm really interested in playing that.

I seriously doubt my phone will be able to play it, so I'll most likely sit this one out. I was really hoping for a new PC Diablo game.
If it's free to play I'll try it, but yeah I think I'd prefer to just play it on PC
Oh and they have said that D4 is in development at least, so it's not like those hopes and dreams are crushed. It'll just be a bit. I'm honestly fine with them waiting longer, I think we need a new Warcraft first (remaster aside) and people are still playing a lot of D3.
Right. I didnât hear about D4 was that in the Blizzcon opening presentation? I still need to watch that as I missed the livestream.
No they didn't talk about that in the Blizzcon presentation at all, they mentioned it in an interview that I saw linked on reddit.

The headline is apparently incorrect based on the update they made to the article, but there's a trailer out there somewhere.
I just recently watched a video that said the that the D4 announcement was scrapped at the last minute. It seems as though it's definitely being created. :)
If you read that article I posted though, thatâs entirely what itâs about, except itâs been corrected. It wasnât scrapped at the last minute, it was never planned for Blizzcon. BUT itâs been made.
Huh. Yeah I wonder if they just let the fan backlash go or drop something about D4? Might not matter at this point though.
