Funded in October 2015 on Kickstarter with over $850K in support, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is making beautiful, beautiful progress. This is the kind of game that should be getting a lot more attention than it is. Classic JRPG styled play set in the fantasy world of the Battle Chasers universe. Joe Madureira (renowned comic artist and creator of the Battle Chasers comics) and founding members of Vigil Games (responsible for the Darksiders series) joined to create a new studio, Airship Syndicate, located in Austin, TX. Gameplay was demoed at E3, showing off dungeon movement and the core combat system, which seems pretty straightforward turn-based play. That polish, though! I'm a fan of Joe Mad's style, and to see it rendered to such detail makes Nightwar as fun to watch as I can imagine it would be to play. The animations in these combat sequences almost look tangible, the collision is so solid.

Estimated release window is December 2016, on PC, Mac, PS4, and XBox One.

While the game was fully funded (and then some), support, with subsequent rewards, is ongoing at the Battle Chasers: Nightwar store: http://www.battlechasers.com/store.

Wow, your right this game does look great. Thanks for sharing.

This looks to be the kind of game that I haven't played much if recently that is something I'd like to try. I like the logo reminds me of Breath of Fire.

More gameplay footage, albeit slow-paced AF (I think the person from IGN was drinking, or something): https://youtu.be/KKXdMs5i3BY . A nice little treat in the final boss loot pile @ 14:04 (obviously filler item, but cool nonetheless).
