I know we don't have many PS4 owners here (apparently), and we don't super-love exclusive titles. However, if you DO own a PS4, and are looking for something...familiar, but very different, look at what developer Plastic is doing with their latest game, Bound. A kind-of-platformer/not-game, the experience in Bound seems to be centered around deep story development and mystery. The cool thing, though, is that the playable character movements are enacted in a balletic style. The only games that come to mind that execute player movement in the form of dance is P.N. 03 or Space Channel 5, to some degree (I'm sure there has to be others. Post them below if you think of any!). Bound looks to be much more graceful and poetic (and less violent), and very reminiscent of games like Journey and Flower, with hints of story telling moments found in not-games like Dear Esther. The motion capture used in these dance movements is beautifully rendered, and the demoscene influenced mind-trip that's happening all around you promotes a stirring cohesion between player and world. If the story elements can move the player with the same ease as the images on display, Bound could be a real moment worth experiencing.

Coming soon, exclusively to PS4.
