I've never played an Assassin's Creed game before, so perhaps I'm just not used to the style, but in the 90 mins I've played of AC3, I'm incredibly disappointed.

The controls are so clunky, I'm still not exactly sure how they work. Sometimes you can run, sometimes you can't, depending on the mission you're on I suppose. I like a sensitive mouse usually in games, but the camera feels WAY too sensitive, and I've not found a way to correct that yet (I guess I could change my computer settings probably).

The game constantly switches between cut scenes and gameplay. Usually cut scenes are cool, but this game tells you to walk to a spot, then it shows a cut scene, then tells you to walk somewhere else, cut scene, walk, cut scene, walk cut scene. There's almost no "game" to play in the beginning. I could deal with that if it were setting up the storyline but...

The animation doesn't keep up with the dialogue!!! And each piece of dialogue is tied to an animation, so you hear a line, then watch the animation of the character speaking, then the second character speaks, with his animation needing to finish... long sentences have killed this game for me.

This game looks like it would be so cool... I just don't know if I want to bother putting anymore time into it...

First off, you're going to be highly disappointed with a keyboard and mouse. It just doesn't work for this game. If you have a gamepad, especially a 360 or PS3 controller, definitely use that.

It has gotten a lot of criticism for it's very long intro. It does seem like it takes a long time to really get into things. I was starting to get really impatient with how long it took to get to the point.

As for the animation and dialogue, I've never seen that before. You might try to see if anyone else has had that problem and has a fix.

I'll have to look into getting a controller. I've seen mixed results online about the voice animation synchronization. Some people think the animation looks great with the dialogue (not including a few glitches here and there), and some people seem to see it like I do, that the animation is much slower. I've not found a fix yet, but I'll keep searching.

I downloaded a game on Steam recently that needed a controlled called Sleeping Dogs. The keyboard controls were total junk. I think its odd people will toss out a PC version and have the keyboard and mouse not work well.

I get some games are meant to be played with a controller but that doesn't mean it should be as bad as it is at times.
