I've heard it said that in space no one can hear you scream with glee that so many sweet games are being ported to Mac and Linux. Or is that line shorter? 2014's chest-bursting hit Alien: Isolation is coming to Mac and Linux on Steam next week and I am very excited. It seems that some publishers are releasing a game initially then when the game has been out for sometime, drop it on Mac and Linux. I think this is a good strategy to pump some life in a games release cycle. This news also comes about a couple months away from Steam Machines launching so it might be related to that too.

Now watch the original 1979 trailer for a piece of cinematic history and the movie that spawned all of this amazingness, Alien.
Jack and Rick from Red Letter Media review Alien: Isolation the new triple A horror game from Sega. I took away a few things from this video. First off I am not going to get Alien: Isolation, secondly I am happy that when I sit down to review a game, if I don't like it I stop.
That said, I sort of admire their persistence and watching the video was pretty great even though they loathed the game they were reviewing. In the end hearing the game wasn't great was unfortunate as I really like Alien and was hoping for a really kick ass stealth game.

I always enjoy watching these guys review things, whether they like what they're reviewing or not. It'll always be entertaining.
But the best part of this video was 21:18, when they previewed their next video: ZELDA II! I seriously can't wait for that video! I've not played the game for 25 years or so, but I did love it when it came out, even thought I know it's widely regarded as trash. I am really looking forward to Jack and Rick talking about that game!

Them reviewing Zelda will be great. Adventure of Link was good, even though it was very different than the other Zelda games.

Anytime I see anything about Alien: Isolation, I immediately think of this: https://youtu.be/JBqPkMQ2ToU
That video always amazes me.
Dramatic readings of youtube comments should be more common, that's amazing.
But not as amazing as this game coming to Mac and Linux. I love the platform-agnostic future.
