Cuphead

Cuphead is an upcoming run and gun platform indie video game by Canadian brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer operating as StudioMDHR Entertainment, drawn in the style of 1930s cartoons. As Cuphead, the player fights a series of bosses to repay a debt to the devil. The game was inspired by the works of 1930s cartoonists such as Max Fleischer's Fleischer Studios and sought to keep the works' subversive and surrealist qualities. Cuphead is scheduled for release in September 2017 on Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.

Cygnus Destroyers latest video reviews Cuphead and I'm sharing it because it doesn't paint the game in an entirely all positive light. His critiques of the game are valid and frankly I didn't really like Cuphead that much either. It's a fine super-ultra-hard platform shooter that's basically Contra but it never stuck with me. It wasn't quite the difficulty, I own really hard games, it just never really gelled because I wasn't sure what the point was. For people that love super-ultra-hard games Cuphead is amazing but beyond the art style the game just didn't click with me.

I know Cygnus review video and my opinion might be a bit controversial but i'm curious what you... Read All

Here are Rich and Jack's take on Cuphead! Spoiler alert, it's beautiful but the game play doesn't blow you away.

Does Cuphead look good on a black and white TV? Surprisingly yes... it really does. The games graphical style works well on the old TV and it's made even more pronounced on the black and white TV. Is this the best way to play Cuphead? No but it's a distant second.

Game Informer has posted some demo footage of Cuphead, the upcoming indie platformer styled after 1930s cartoons. The art style is amazing-- as someone who grew up watching all the Looney Tunes and older cartoons I could get my hands on, this looks like tight, difficult, and satisfying gameplay wrapped up in charming bit of nostalgia.

The game is coming in a few weeks on September 29 to Xbox One and PC.
