Mortal Kombat X released this week on PC and the consoles and to the amusement of fans it shipped with some pretty gruesome fatalities. Someone collected all the fatalities and released them in a video I linked above. Some people are saying these fatalities go too far and I see where people are coming from but consider this. When I was my young 90's self I was absolutely shocked and amazed watching Sub-Zero rip out someones spine. Mortal Kombat X has really amped up the gore here and like the Mortal Kombat of the past it pushes some buttons.
Are these new fatalities too much or are they a modern homage to a classic series?

Wow... I only watched 2 minutes of this (I have to admit that I still want to watch the rest, out of curiosity, but I really am not into that much HD gore) . The new fatalities are too much for me, but I'm sure the Mortal Kombat fan base will get enjoy them.
I do foresee the exact same controversy as the 90's, if parents don't pay much attention to what games they're buying their kids. This one could definitely catch the media's attention.
I agree but I don't think the fatalities were meant to be viewed all at once. They are a shocking/fun ending to the match. They are a bit hard to watch because they look so real but they don't come as quick as them all cut together.
And yeah, rage machine start in 3 .. 2 ... Fox news
That's a good point about one at a time.
