Rocket League is a game I first heard about from Indie Developers at PIGSquad talking about a game they were having a hell of a lot of fun playing. It's a simple premise you never expect to work which is to say, cars playing soccer with added rocket boosting. At 18k reviews that are "Very Positive" on Steam, Rocket League looks like something we'd all have a blast playing.

I've been watching Rich and Jack play this A LOT. There seems to be a lot of replayability to it. It's one I'm going to pick up :)
I play Rocket League on PS4, where it was available as a free download a few months back. It's amazing. It's in my current rotation of games, and my number one go-to at the moment, for that quick-fix something to play. Rocket League is the spiritual successor to SuperSonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars, made by the same developer. Rocket League is more refined an experience, however, and I'm glad they did this, stripping it down to just the traditional field of competition. It really is a brilliant game. The controls are tight and responsive, allowing for some crazy graceful maneuvers in the arena.
The beauty, too, is that Rocket League is cross-platform. PS4 players can play PC players. I don't know how cross-platform parties work, or if that's even possible.
