You are Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race. Years ago, your homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless zerg Swarm. Now, at long last, you have raised a powerful fleet of warships known as the Golden Armada, and are poised to reclaim your world. But an ancient evil—Amon—threatens this destiny and the fate of the entire galaxy. Only you can reunite the protoss factions and defeat the coming darkness before it consumes all life in the sector.

Blizzard is continuing the StarCraft 20th Anniversary celebration by giving away Fenix as a free StarCraft II co-op commander.

"Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we are giving away the Co-op Commander Fenix for free! From March 29 to April 3, you’ll find the Protoss champion sitting in the gift tab ready to be claimed."

I didn't have Fenix as a commander yet, so it's cool to be able to get him to try out.

YouTuber Crank recently played a match of StarCraft II and Hearthstone ... at the same time. Since Hearthstone is a turn based game this doesn't seem impossible.

I wonder what other two online games you could play at the same time?

Starcraft II was one of the most anticipated sequels to one of the most memorable RTS games of all time. Starcraft II Wings of Liberty was a great start to the new trilogy and that start was built on in the later sequel Heart of the Swarm. Legacy of the Void is the finale of the story that started with the original Starcraft game and after having experienced the ending I can say is quite satisfying.

I'll start off with one of the biggest flaws of the game in that I never really connected with the Protoss. The Protoss are an interesting faction but I've never been drawn to them because they seem so stoic, grandiose and entirely unrelatable. Protoss are like a race of... Read All

I am a StarCraft zombie from way back so when news of the final chapter of the StarCraft II series was releasing I zerg rushed to get it. Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm took the series into a much deeper and more interesting place and as seen in my numerous play sessions of both games. Legacy of the Void continues the epic saga and I can safely say that it's quite enjoyable and so far, a very entertaining ride. I don't want to spoil the game for anyone so I am going to not get too specific about anything I feel is related to the plot.

As the game launches you back into the StarCraft-verse things happen that I didn't expect but make sense with how Blizzard like... Read All

If you are picking up Fallout 4, Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void or Starwars Battlefront and have a NVidia card on your PC I recommend you update your drivers. NVidia has released a special game ready driver to help things out with the launch of these games. You don't want to explore Boston or fight Nerud as the Protoss with graphical glitches and performance woes due to drive issues.

"One of StarCraft's most memorable characters, Nova Terra, returns in a brand new RTS mission pack - Nova Covert Ops. The first mission pack will be arriving in Spring 2016."

As a huge Starcraft fan I don't mind more of the stuff I love. That said, hearing about new paid mission packs before the final installment of the series drops is still a bit odd to me. I know this is the new way of things for gaming as companies now offer you the base game or advanced edition and also the ability to buy all future DLC in the form of a season pass.

All of that aside, the new teaser video is impressive and I plan on picking these missions up as so far all single player Starcraft II... Read All

Co-Op is one of my favorite game modes to nearly any game as I have more fun playing alongside a friend that competing with one. Competition can be fun but it's great to tank up with a friend and take on a challenge together. Blizzard recently renamed it's former "Allied Commanders" feature to "Co-Op Missions" and it not only makes more sense to me I bet it's also easier to talk about. Not sure if you can play with friends that don't have Legacy of the Void but when launch time comes I wonder if some of you might be interested in checking this mode out?

StarCraft II Legacy of the Void is out November 10th on PC and Mac.

If you cut your teeth on PC gaming you might have played the original Starcraft and Broodwar. These games were LAN staples at parties of days past and that love has translated to the new series in Starcraft 2. As with most things in the mod community, they have awesomely remade the original Starcraft and Brood War single player experience in Starcraft II. Using the original levels, cues and voice acting they cut it in with the Starcraft II engine to build a really polished final product. If this interests you head over to the mod project and install it.

The installation directions seem complex but it's a really easy process and worked for me the first time. As old... Read All
