Some big Star Wars Episode IX news dropped today that I wanted to share with you all. Not only is Luke Skywalker coming back for Episode IX but so will the entire principal cast of the The Last Jedi including Lando Calrissian! Wasn't sure if they'd bring Lando back but it was confirmed along with some awesome news on how they plan on including Carrie Fisher from the director of Episode IX J.J. Abrams:

"Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast, or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie's legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII."

I've heard a ton of footage of Leia was shot in The Force Awakens and never used so I guess they are glad they didn't include it all in deleted scenes on the Blu-ray!

Star Wars Episode IX starts filming August 1st and will drop in theaters December of 2019.

I could see it becoming another Superman's Lip if not done well

Yeah that's interesting. I'm glad they've found a way to do this and make it work. December 2019 is too far away!

Yeah, I could see them making her say things maybe she didn't to make it work based on past footage. Some Marvel movies got it fairly right in Civil War and Guardians 2. Hopefully they will have enough time to sort it out properly.

There was past footage in Civil War and Guardians 2?
