I don't have a Wii U. We make fun of the poor Wii U a lot because of the less than stellar launch, the lack of quality third-party games, the confusing name, and so on.

But look at this trailer and tell me you don't want one!

This game does look like a lot of fun!

Good times, and yes, I want a Wii U now. So many good memories with Mario Kart. And now Hovercrafts and Hang gliders?! I don't think I saw any new maps though, only prettied-up oldies.

The game looks great and i'd love to play it. When I look at all the consoles out now, it's the one i'd have the easiest time purchasing because I know i'd play it.

At some point I may very well get one too, we will see. If I did, Mario Kart 8 would be one of the things i'd buy.

Really, it's that monstrous gamepad that keeps me away. I don't like it. Don't most games require you use it? I don't know, I think it would take a lot of getting used to.

I don't think they all do.

Now to what Wii U games support that, I don't know, but it's an official Nintendo thing and I imagine the support is pretty good.

Wow, I didn't know the U had a decent controller. It was the big pad controller that turned me off as well. I will be interested on how this plays.

You can also just use wii controllers with Wii U games... Most of the ones I have utilize two different control schemes with or without the pad controller. Also, multiplayer games can use different controllers (i.e. one player with the pad others with wii controllers). Pikmin 3 is also awesome on the Wii U :)
