I want to thank him and @Travis for taking part in the interview and I wish Facepunch Godspeed to Rust 1.0!

"There's nothing particularly bombastic about suffocating to death on your own ship." It's really too bad that there's no FTL multiplayer; I really want to work that line into my smack talk somewhere. :) Great interview!
Yeah, that would be a pretty cool zinger.
Next time you are playing Call of Duty you should say that to a newb you pwn.
This is awesome, thanks for posting this Travis.
Really looking forward to when 1.2 drops and we get the Cheerful Ghost server going :D
We're getting close to 1.2... I can feel it! @.@
With all these new items I can't wait to see what everyone builds on our next server.
I want to build some kind of snow house. Perhaps some kind of super villain evil snow fortress.
Yeah, we must keep creating the world until one with snow comes. I also think a pyramid, since sand building materials are coming, along with half-blocks and the ability to run up a 1 block incline without jumping.
Sounds good. We might have to lag the server start a bit to handle someone getting the patch and fiddling around with creating a world until we get the right one. A few hours perhaps.
It's impressive how Unity has opened the floodgates for indie developers, and even a few bigger releases. I love the ease of cross-platform support.
I haven't messed with UDK or Source, or any of the 'bigger' developer platforms, but what I've experienced in Unity in a relatively short amount of time allowed me to create things that I didn't think I was at all capable of. The community and resources that are available make it that much more accessible to anyone. Aside from the above mentioned Learn section of the Unity website, another great resource is the Walker Boys Studio site: www.walkerboystudio.com/html/tutorials.html .
One thing that I have enjoyed in doing these interviews is how many people appreciate The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Its a great game and seems to really have impacted a ton of people, developers included.
Solar 2 is a very fun, zen like experience. Sometimes I like just floating around as a planet, seeing how many asteroids I can get to orbit me.
Great interview! I'm looking forward to whatever comes next from Jay.
Yeah I am too. And since he just teased it with no hints, I am double curious :D
I can't wait to see where Rust ends up. Such an interesting idea for a game.
Yeah me too. Seems like it could really go in a few directions at this point.
I saw a free videos of Rust and I really like the idea of having to build your own shelter. There was a game I played on GMOD actually, that was very similar to the idea of this. You had to cook food to survive and you could build walls and houses and other stuff. I had a bunch of fun playing it but than the server crashed and I never could find it again.
