Stardew Valley is out today on Steam and GOG on PC to superb reviews.

Jon, when you get this, I'd like to see it
I am very, very interested in this game, but at the same time I need to spend a little bit of time with it to know if I would even enjoy it. I lament the lack of demos these days.
So I'll wait for some people I know to play it.
It is a really great game. I spent loads of time playing harvest moon 64. And this is just as enjoyable for me.
