The Ultimate Vault Hunter’s Upgrade lets you get the most out of the Borderlands 2 experience.

Edited: The DLC is now out, and free until July 8! I’ve updated the post with the trailer. Enjoy going back to Pandora!

From the “Worst-kept Secrets” department, news emerged today that Borderlands 2 is getting new DLC to bridge the gap between Borderlands 2 and 3.

I say emerged, but in reality a Steam store page popped up for it and was quickly taken down. It’s likely that this was meant to be an E3 surprise but someone published that page too soon.

However, rumors have been circulating about this for a few weeks now. I normally hesitate to post about anything non-confirmed but this is about as close as you can get.

It looks like this DLC will drop on June 9 for the... Read All

Travis gives this an astounding "Must Play" on the Ghost Scale
This achieves something special, and it would be a shame to miss it.

Borderlands 2 is a first person shooter RPG that was released by Gearbox Software in 2012. It launched to nearly universal acclaim and won a bunch of awards including the Cheerful Ghost game of the year award for 2012! Borderands 2 got a junk ton of DLC and was one of the first games with a season pass that got even more DLC after that season pass DLC came out. Borderlands 2 dropped on PC, PS3 the XBox 360 and was later brought to Mac, Linux, PS4, XBox One, Vita and the NVidia Shield.

We wanted to head back to this game and talk about it because we think it deserves a second look and a bit more discussion.

Spoiler alert: Perhaps it's no surprise, we love this game and... Read All

Azurephile gives this a solid "Rad" on the Ghost Scale
This is fun, with very few issues, and is well worth your time.

I thought the first Borderlands game was ok, not bad. It had it’s fun and challenges, which in some cases were polar opposites. I left two missions behind for another time, Moxxi’s DLC and Crawmerax. I had fun running over enemies. I chose to play as Roland, the Soldier and went with a Commando Class Mod. So, when I got to Borderlands 2, I decided to chose Axton, the Commando with a similar ability. In the first game, I stuck mostly with a good shotgun and sniper rifle. I liked using the grenades that heal me.

I had a friend that told me he was playing BL2 on his Xbox and... Read All

As I finish up watching all the Awesome Games Done Quick speedruns from 2016 I missed watching live I wanted to share a few more you might find enjoy. The above Borderlands 2 co-op run is great as they beat the game in 1:44:50 which is an impressive feat considering it's a run that takes two people to pull off. It uses some fun weapon switching dupe bug glitches as well as some interesting speed bugs that make progressing through areas incredibly fast and interesting to watch.

The final run you should watch is of the Action 52 NES Classic Cheetahmen and if you know of the game and it's epic terribleness you also know the game is very hard. The runner huey beats the... Read All

I thought pre-ordering Borderlands 2 on the PS3 was a really good idea. Or... at least it seemed like a good idea at the time. See, back then I mostly played games on the PS3 but what I didn't realize at the time was that my tastes were quickly shifting back to the PC. When Borderlands 2 dropped, like many people I created a Gunzerker and had an absolute blast playing the game. Then the Mecromancer free DLC dropped and I created a new Mecromancer game. The Mecromancer was really fun and I swapped between both games playing a bit as the Mecromancer and as the Gunzerker. Then Travis got me Borderlands 2 on PC for Christmas and I started a new Gunzerker game on PC. I'd... Read All

The Humble folks have brought us some classic Indie Bundles(remember HB9 with FEZ, FTL, Mark of the Ninja and Brutal Legend?) and have brought us some really great Triple A bundles too. Recently The Humble Borderlands Bundle has dropped and if you don't own Borderlands but have always wanted to it's time to act.

The any price bundle features the original game plus all the DLC minus the Claptrap expansion. My thought is they will add that later for people that beat the average as they always add more content in later on. If you pay above the average you get Borderlands 2 and some DLC. If you pay $15 you get way more Borderlands 2 DLC. Like I mentioned earlier, by the... Read All

In addition to officially announcing Linux support for the Pre-Sequel, today Borderlands 2 can be played on Linux.

Some DLC is still showing Windows/Mac only, but an Aspyr rep on Reddit says that it's taking some time to flag everything properly.

In addition, there's a massive sale on the game and all the DLC so if you don't have it yet, now's your chance to get it cheap!

Recently Gaming on Linux contacted Aspyr about Borderlands 2 coming to Linux after someone detected some Linux builds in Steam.

"Michael Blair, Aspyr Media: Yes! BL2 Linux is absolutely real! We've been working hard on it for months and will talk about a release date as soon as possible."

This is great news as whenever 2K has been asked about this they have been pretty cagy about it. So the question for me isn't "when will Linux get it's gaming chance" I am not curious if it will remain as a viable platform. I guess the answer to that lies in the popularity of SteamOS and other unannounced platforms.
