I thought the first Borderlands game was ok, not bad. It had it’s fun and challenges, which in some cases were polar opposites. I left two missions behind for another time, Moxxi’s DLC and Crawmerax. I had fun running over enemies. I chose to play as Roland, the Soldier and went with a Commando Class Mod. So, when I got to Borderlands 2, I decided to chose Axton, the Commando with a similar ability. In the first game, I stuck mostly with a good shotgun and sniper rifle. I liked using the grenades that heal me.

I had a friend that told me he was playing BL2 on his Xbox and liked it. I also noticed many of my Cheerful Ghost friends playing it as well,... Read All

As I finish up watching all the Awesome Games Done Quick speedruns from 2016 I missed watching live I wanted to share a few more you might find enjoy. The above Borderlands 2 co-op run is great as they beat the game in 1:44:50 which is an impressive feat considering it's a run that takes two people to pull off. It uses some fun weapon switching dupe bug glitches as well as some interesting speed bugs that make progressing through areas incredibly fast and interesting to watch.

The final run you should watch is of the Action 52 NES Classic Cheetahmen and if you know of the game and it's epic terribleness you also know the game is very hard. The runner huey... Read All

I thought pre-ordering Borderlands 2 on the PS3 was a really good idea. Or... at least it seemed like a good idea at the time. See, back then I mostly played games on the PS3 but what I didn't realize at the time was that my tastes were quickly shifting back to the PC. When Borderlands 2 dropped, like many people I created a Gunzerker and had an absolute blast playing the game. Then the Mecromancer free DLC dropped and I created a new Mecromancer game. The Mecromancer was really fun and I swapped between both games playing a bit as the Mecromancer and as the Gunzerker. Then Travis got me Borderlands 2 on PC for Christmas and I started a new Gunzerker game... Read All

The Humble folks have brought us some classic Indie Bundles(remember HB9 with FEZ, FTL, Mark of the Ninja and Brutal Legend?) and have brought us some really great Triple A bundles too. Recently The Humble Borderlands Bundle has dropped and if you don't own Borderlands but have always wanted to it's time to act.

The any price bundle features the original game plus all the DLC minus the Claptrap expansion. My thought is they will add that later for people that beat the average as they always add more content in later on. If you pay above the average you get Borderlands 2 and some DLC. If you pay $15 you get way more Borderlands 2 DLC. Like I mentioned... Read All

In addition to officially announcing Linux support for the Pre-Sequel, today Borderlands 2 can be played on Linux.

Some DLC is still showing Windows/Mac only, but an Aspyr rep on Reddit says that it's taking some time to flag everything properly.

In addition, there's a massive sale on the game and all the DLC so if you don't have it yet, now's your chance to get it cheap!

Recently Gaming on Linux contacted Aspyr about Borderlands 2 coming to Linux after someone detected some Linux builds in Steam.

"Michael Blair, Aspyr Media: Yes! BL2 Linux is absolutely real! We've been working hard on it for months and will talk about a release date as soon as possible."

This is great news as whenever 2K has been asked about this they have been pretty cagy about it. So the question for me isn't "when will Linux get it's gaming chance" I am not curious if it will remain as a viable platform. I guess the answer to that lies in the popularity of SteamOS and other unannounced platforms.

Did you know that Handsome Jack was just a placeholder name but since 2K loved it so much they kept it in? Now we are both smarter.

"Our incredible fans have been flooding our inboxes, telling us they want more Borderlands 2 content. We heard you, which is why back in August, we announced Headhunter 1: TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest, the first of the downloadable Headhunter add-ons. Today, we’re happy to let you know that TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest will be hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Steam and Mac on Tuesday, October 22nd – just in time for Halloween!

These Headhunter add-ons offer additional adventures that set you off on a series of missions in new areas that culminate with you taking down some rather unique bosses and claiming their heads to wear as your prize.

It seems Gearbox isn't... Read All

Krieg is an upcoming playable class Gearbox is adding to Borderlands 2. This new class looks pretty awesome and does a few things differently. With the other classes when you run out of life, if you can come back to life immediately if you make a kill. With Krieg when you run out of life he switches to suicide mode where he can toss around dynamite sticks and blow himself up to try and take out bad guys. The video above illustrates the class really well so I recommend you check it out.

If you want to spend some time playing with Krieg's skill tree hit the link below.

Krieg will be available for purchase... Read All

Anthony Burch, whether intentionally or accidentally, tweeted this picture of a guy sleeping at Gearbox earlier today. It was quickly removed, but some fast people snagged it before it was taken down. See that in the background? Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep.

In the teaser earlier this year, we saw Tiny Tina leading the vault hunters in a D&D style game, and this looks to fit with the theme. There are already theories on what "Dragon's Keep" might be, some even going so far to propose that this is the title she gave to the Hyperion Moon Base.

So there you have it, take it with all the grains of salt you have. I'm personally looking forward to... Read All

I watched most of the Gearbox panel and read up on the stuff I missed. Some exciting stuff coming!

First, next week there's a new playthrough being added for everyone. In addition, a content pack including a level cap increase to 61 and a new class of weapons, Pearlescent. This will be free to season pass subscribers, and $5 otherwise. That said, if you don't buy the new pack, good luck surviving a third playthrough.

Kreig is the new vault hunter, releasing in May! He's a bandit psycho who gets rewarded for doing crazy stuff in battle. He'll cost $5, the same as Gaige, and will be entirely separate from the season pass. As rumored, he is melee focused, and... Read All
