I'm finally nearing the "minimum" on new games, but at least I got this one!
...
Awesome, I've been waiting for these. It looks like my PC should run it fine on recommended settings. I guess it's time to pre-order!
From what everyone has been saying, these minimum specs are almost definitely higher than you actually need to play it, and the recommended specs are almost definitely higher than you need to max it. Game companies want to make SURE that their advertised specs will run as specified, so they beef them up a bit.
I just pre-ordered! That GTX 780 seems to be on par with my GTX 690.
This looks like it will run fine on my current PC. Interesting to see Windows 7 at the bottom of the minimum Windows version level
Anyone getting it on Steam? If so, are you going to buy the Season Pass? I haven't, though it's tempting. I may wait until I see what DLC comes out or is planned. I haven't bought very many Season Passes. What do you think about those? Do you get them?
Yeah, I am going to get it on Steam the day before to pre-load it because there is no incentive to pre-order. I might buy the season pass depending on if I am playing it by then and need more of what they are adding. I have bought one season pass before for Bioshock Infinite and I really liked that quite a bit.
I remember seeing the original pre-order bonus, which was a Pip-Boy that uses an iPhone or something that I don't have nor want, so I didn't want it. I wanted to see the system requirements to make sure it'd be fine on my PC, thus I have pre-ordered. A pre-order bonus would have been nice, but I'm ok with that.
The game is coming out in 1 month and 1 day, isn't that exciting?!
I'll get the season pass because I know I'm going to want the DLC and that gets it to me for cheaper.
The physical Pip-Boy wasn't a pre-order bonus, it was part of a special edition.
Travis was there a discount? I don't see one on steam.
Was there a discount for what?
Oh, you mean for the season pass? No, there's no discount for the season pass. What I meant was that the season pass IS a discount. You get a bunch of DLC for one price that's lower than the total price you'd pay by buying them individually.
I never beat FallOut 3, should I keep playing that one before getting into FallOut 4? Also, my new laptop has a GTX 965M so I'm good =] It's so nice going from my desktop with a geforce 9600GT to this new one. Was a long overdue upgrade.
JaBo, it's possible there will be some plot references, but it doesn't seem like it will be a direct story sequel.
I'd say play Fallout 3 in as much as you are drawn to. For me, I really loved the game and basically mainlined it until the end. Beyond the DLC where you "wake up" and continue on through the story, I didn't really do much beyond completing many of the quests and exploring the wasteland.
