LOL They should make more of these with the other Heroes and cards.

I'm glad I'm not the only one tired of losing all the time. I like the game, but playing against other people makes me feel awful. In fact, I'm not sure I can think of a game that makes me feel as terrible as this one does. That's pretty much why I don't play it. I don't like playing against other people and losing so much.
Jordan, I'm not sure if what you shared is worth it. You can probably find strategies all around the Interwebs for free. I'd certainly like to find some that will help, but I think if I invested some time into it I could probably find some really good info out there. Let me know if you decide to get this and if it really helps.
(BTW Jon, if you have some really good resources and tips, please share!)

Greg: I removed that post and banned the user, it was SPAM to some ebook or something. I've had users create accounts from the same place that person did and they post similar SPAM.
I understand not liking to lose, I get that. I lose all the time, but I win some and win more now but I had some ROUGH patches that took along time to push through.
I'm going to consult with a friend about what we'd do if we started now and wanted to play. I thought about that today and I want to write something about it.

I consider you an expert in the game. I was hoping you could post something for those of us that suck. I know you've provided at least one link. I think if I spend some more time searching for help w/ Google, I can figure it out and get better. I'm really hoping that the game really does match me with similar players. I figure since I lose so much, maybe I can get matched with someone else who does, so that I don't have to suffer loss so often and hard. LOL

Haha yeah. I'll see what I can come up with, thanks for letting me know!
Jon, I totally agree with Greg that a "What to do when starting Hearthstone now" would be helpful. I've only ever really dabbled with it in the past, playing a few matches here and there, but it's a bit daunting if you haven't kept up with it.

Travis and Greg: What format would a guide help you? A video or a post? Both?
Thinking about this and I want to do something, which could be fun.
I learn better from reading than watching videos but I think I'm an outlier. With a video you can say a lot more while also showing what you're doing. A video with highlights in text?

Something to read might be easier to constantly access. A video might be easier to make though. To start, I'm interested in how to build a good deck. I've used the Deck Builder, but that might not be good enough. So, if you wanted to show a video about how to build a good deck (with each Hero) and some things that could go into, that'd be great. Keep in mind, we don't have the awesome cards that you do.
If we had a post here on the site that we all could see, then other players (especially our members) could also provide input. It would also give us a place for questions and comments. You could also share some good resources you've found on the interwebs. :)

Flawless victory today, I'm stopping there since I finished all my Quests!!! I've deleted all of my decks and have decided to remake them as needed for Quests. I had one win left to get with my Shaman and I got it. I also had to win 3 with any Hero and then 2 with Rogue or Druid. So, I rebuilt those decks using the Classic recipe and got my 3 needed wins. I'm really happy that I completed my Dailies.
One of the things about this game is that you can attack the player or their creatures. So, I'm thinking it's probably best to try to kill their creatures off if you can. Then you can "go face" as Jon likes to say in his videos. LOL
Just a random strategy that I used a lot in the beginning:
When creating a deck, use the filter to find minions with "Taunt." Stack your deck with these and then keep hitting face. Your opponent will have to worry about clearing the taunt enemies before getting to your hero. Of course this isn't a fool proof strategy, but it works fairly well.
Also, playing Arena forces you to use cards you might not usually use, and play them in combinations you might not have thought of :)

Having board advantage is good. If you don't take care of creatures they will roll you so yeah, that's a great strategy.

That is a good idea, Adam. I've seen people attack some of my creatures with their Hero, which at first I thought wasn't a good idea, because they took Hero damage, but I have realized that it's better to sacrifice a few Health to prevent more damage. My games (wins) were beautiful today. I cleared their side of the board and "went face" quite a few times. Oh it was lovely. A while ago, I nearly killed an opponent twice, but they managed to refill their health a couple of times and took me down in the end.
The same thing happened to me yesterday! I was playing against a Warrior who was super armor heavy. I did a ton of damage upfront, but when he finally killed me, he had 10 health, but 31 armor lol. But those loses are usually good learning experiences :)

A couple days ago I posted a series of Lego Star Wars Force Awakens prequel shorts and it seems they were created to setup Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The upcoming game features voice actors from the original cast such as Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), John Boyega (Finn), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Max von Sydow (Lor San Tekka) and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron).
Happy to see Disney make a solid effort to keep these stories in proper cannon but also allow the whimsical nature of the Lego universe so we can hear Han Solo say "Wookie cookies." If you love Wookie cookies then make sure to get Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens on June 16th on the PS3, PS4, Vita, 360, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS or PC.
Shadows of the Empire is a classic Star Wars game that until now was only available on the Nintendo 64. Today Lucasfilm brings it to PC for the first time and, for now, it's only available on GOG. It's fun watching the trailer and realizing Dash Rendar is acted by the same person that voiced Jim Raynor in Starcraft.
If you have been waiting to re-play this game on your PC check it out on GOG.
"In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?"
If you have completed most of the quests in Fallout 4 and are death clawing for more stuff to explore the largest Fallout DLC to date drops May on 19th. Far Harbor seems to be a very dark sea tale. Fun to see the Children of the Atom as I believe we haven't seen them since Fallout 3 in Megaton. Far Harbor launches on PC, PS4 and XBox One May 19th.

May 19th seems to be a bit sooner than I expected. I'm glad that the game is getting this new DLC and that it is supposed to be the largest one Bethesda has done. One reason why I'm glad is because there will be more opportunities to level up and get some perks.

Ah, haven't got to the glowing sea yet. I've heard it's a cool place.

Oh yeah it's cool!!!! If by "cool" you mean extremely radioactive and harboring dangerous creatures. LOL I think you *could* go in it without a power suit, but you won't last long. There's a scientist there you need to speak to, Virgil is his name I think, in order to find the Institute. As a side, he asks you to find the cure for his mutation in the Institute, but I didn't see it come up under my quest log, so I never did get it for him. But, there's a device in the Glowing Sea you need to retrieve anyway.
Greg, the cure doesn't have a quest marker, but when you're in the Institute you can find it. If you explore a lot you'll stumble across it.
The Children of Atom aren't only in the Glowing Sea. There are a few enclaves of them scattered around the Commonwealth. And apparently Atom is way angrier now than he was in Fallout 3.

May the fourth be with us all and on this special day I recommend you start things right with this Best of Star Wars Spotify playlist. It features 23 John Williams cuts that will entertain your nerf herding ears.
Feel free to share any other fun Star Wars stuff you find today in the comments section of this post as I am curious what stuff yo all find.
Metal Jesus Rocks and Reggie made a great video i've used as a base for my list of Gameboy Advance games I want to collect. Like most Metal Jesus Rocks videos this covers all the models of the Gameboy Advance and associated hardware. They also make some recommendations of some classic titles such as Minish Cap, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Metroid Zero Mission & Fusion and more. If you are like me and are slowly collecting all the great classic titles or simply want to watch a fun video about some great video game systems then you should check this out.
Speedrunning is amazing and I am in awe of the talent and care it takes to do it well. The fastest way through most games is to glitch it and go out of bounds to bypass massive areas to save time. YouTube BitRain makes a great video explaining how you can glitch through the walls in Half-Life 2 which is the basis for his 40:49 speedrun featured below.
Don't let the thought of a Force Awakens prequel give you the wrong impression, this new Disney web series is ridiculously enjoyable. So far Disney has released Poe To The Rescue (featured above), The Trouble With Rathtars, Hunting For Han and Rey Strikes Back. The shorts are semi-canon and feature voice work by some Star Wars veterans I don't want to spoil. Each episode in the series is loosely related and they converge a bit in Rey Strikes Back. Not sure when Disney will be done with the series but after watching these I want a proper Force Awakens Lego cartoon series!
Disney can't seem to hit a foul ball in anything related to Star Wars recently as these shorts are a great way to begin Star Wars week! Stay tuned to Cheerful Ghost for more Star Wars news and check back this May the 4th for something extra special.
So how canon is this? I assume Poe didn't actually bowl down a bunch of stormtroopers with a helmet. And BB-8 sounds so incredibly wrong. Lego is usually better about that.
Fan wanking aside, this was a lot of fun!

That's why I think they are semi-canon. The events happened, but the exaggeration for comedy isn't to be taken as real. At least, that's how I watched them.

JJ says Poe bowling down stormtroopers with his helmet is SO canon.

If you are looking for something to play and haven't opened Diablo 3 in a bit you might want to check out the latest Diablo season. You know, in between Hearthstone matches, Fallout 4's new DLC, Stardew Valley, Battleborn, Dark Souls 3 and the upcoming Doom reboot. We all have that kind of time right?
Stardew Valley is ConcernedApe's country life farming game mega hit and in a recent blog post he outlined a roadmap of upcoming features. At the top of the list of stuff I am very interested in are Mac and Linux ports. Since Stardew Valley has been a one man effort to date ConcernedApe will be enlisting the help of some Chuckle Fish developers for the ports and multiplayer support. This is actually a really great thing as it means he can focus on core gameplay additions solely.
New features that are on a list of things to come:
Version 1.1 — A substantial content update
Co-op Multiplayer
Localizing for non-english regions
Mac/Linux Ports
Console Ports
Merchandise
Check the official post below for the full 1.1 feature list.
That was perfect! Loved it.
LOL They should make more of these with the other Heroes and cards.
