Hey all,

I grabbed a few extra cheap things in the Summer Getaway Sale, just to share them with you. Disappointed that you missed a deal? Look no further.

I put a thread for each of these in the Backchannel-- trying to sort through entries in a single post would have been a nightmare.

Left 4 Dead Pack: If you don't have these games yet, you need them. No matter the difficulty, this game always feels tense and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Terraria: Honestly one of my favorite games. I've put over 180 hours into it according to Steam, and will be putting even more into it when the new update drops and we start up the Cheerful Ghost server.

Deus Ex Collection: Some amazing first-person stealthy RPG genre-busting games. This pack includes the whole series up to now, and includes the DLC for Human Revolution.

Just Cause: Haven't played this one yet, but I snagged an extra copy because it was 59 cents. That price is hard to argue with.

In addition, I have a couple other games that have been clogging my inventory that I can't use:

Starvoid: When you activate this game, you get an extra copy to hand out. So I'm finally handing it out! Head over here if you want to enter for it.

Total War Shogun 2: Rise of the Samurai DLC: I accidentally bought this twice last year, so if you have the base game, enter below to win it!

I also have a couple of Toki Tori 2+ coupons for 10% off if you want those. Just ask, no contest involved!

I'll use random.org to pick a winner for each of these on August 2 at 10PM EST. Feel free to enter as many of these as you like, but you can only win one. If you come up as the winner twice we'll ask which one you want most, then re-roll the other one.

I picked up a few extra cheap things during the Summer Getaway Sale to share with you all. I got Just Cause for less than a buck because... it was less than a buck! Comment below and I'll use random.org to choose the winner on August 2.

Cleaning out my inventory, I accidentally bought an extra copy of this during one of the many Steam sales. You have to have the main game in order to use this. If you do, and you want it, comment below and I'll use random.org to pick the winner.

Neil Gaiman, lord and master of all he surveys, has entered the world of gaming with Wayward Manor. The acclaimed author of many books, TV episodes, movies, graphic novels, and more has a way with pulling the reader/viewer into his worlds, so hopefully his new game will be as awesome.

In Wayward Manor you control the (quite dead) previous inhabitant of the titular manor, who tries to scare away the current inhabitants Beetlejuice-style.

No gameplay footage is out yet, but you can pre-order and get more info at his site. Hopefully his awesome wife Amanda Palmer will provide some spooky works for the soundtrack.

Also, this is the first time I've ever heard him say his name. Mystery solved: It's GAY-men, not GUY-men.

According to a report out by Game Informer today, Microsoft has now reversed another unpopular policy: requiring Indie Developers to have a publisher, or allow Microsoft to publish it themselves.

After Sony made Indie gaming one of the highlights of their E3 show, and a number of Indie developers denouncing Microsoft's policies, some saying they'd never work with them again, Microsoft has now announced a new model for Indie devs to publish. In addition to being able to publish themselves, they can set their own release dates and prices, and use any console as a dev unit (when approved by Microsoft).

This is good news, but like other Microsoft reversals, is this too little too late? For me it still may be. It's obvious this is a face-saving move, not a show of support. Still, it's good for everyone involved so I can't be too upset!

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is officially not the last Borderlands 2 DLC. Gearbox has announced a few more items coming later this year.

First up, a new level cap increase-- up to 72. New loot and challenges await in this upgrade, as well as the ability to overlevel your game for more difficulty, and presumably more loot.

In addition, there will be some Headhunter Packs, which seem to be smaller challenge packs smaller than what they've offered so far. First up: TK Baha's Bloody Harvest. TK Baha just can't stay dead apparently, and is back to give you more missions, challenges, and boss fights.

In non-Borderlands news, Gearbox is releasing HD remakes of Homeworld and Homeworld 2! They acquired the rights to the Homeworld IP when THQ sold off all their assets a few months back, and this is the first step toward keeping it alive.

In the totally-not-news-but-new-to-me department, if you call Gearbox Software's main phone line, you get a greeting from Claptrap himself! I hear the standard "if you know the extension of the person..." greeting a few times a week, but I can't tell you how awesome it is to hear Claptrap saying it.
