The character looks just like Esposito. Something that incredibly impresses me is that he speaks very well with a Spanish accent. He isnât of... Read All I reported earlier that Far Cry 6 (the latest in the series released last year) had a Free-To-Play Weekend going on. I knew about Far Cry 6 before it was released. I had some interest in it, but perhaps the most interesting thing to me is that the villain is portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito. If that name doesnât sound familiar then perhaps âMoff Giddeonâ will (if youâve seen The Mandalorian). I realize Moff Gideon isnât his only role, but that is the only role I saw him in (before this game). His performance was outstanding!
The character looks just like Esposito. Something that incredibly impresses me is that he speaks very well with a Spanish accent. He isnât of Spanish heritage, though. He is the son of an âAfrican-American opera singer and an Italian carpenterâ (according to a Google search). I read that he learned how to speak his lines, but isnât fluent in Spanish. I find it amazing when actors can portray an accent that isnât their own. Great examples of this are Tom Holland, Charlie Cox, and Hugh Jackman. Hearing them speak with their native accent is a shocker.
As for my Far Cry experience, Iâve only played through Far Cry Primal and I enjoyed it. I tried Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. I played very little of it because I just wasnât into it. I later tried Far Cry 3, but I gave up after running out of ammo. This isnât a problem in Far Cry 6, because you can refill your ammo by accessing the trunk of whatever car youâre driving. I plan to try Far Cry 3 again. I got it for free and I know itâs very popular.
Far Cry 6 seems to have many elements that are in every Far Cry game. Itâs kind of an RPG as you gain experience and level (or rather ârankâ) up. This gives you access to more weapons and things. Being an open-world game means that there are plenty of places to explore with plenty to do. Movement (or perhaps camera movement) is also one of those elements. Itâs hard to explain, but to me itâs a unique thing Iâve seen in this series.
Iâm disappointed that the free weekend is over. I was really enjoying it. Itâs currently on sale for 50% off until the end of the month. Use the promo code "FRESH15" at checkout to get an extra 25% off. I bought the Gold Edition, which pretty much just contains the game and it's season pass. It was originally $100, but with the current sale and promo code I got it for almost $43.
The country this story takes place in is a fictional place called âYaraâ and itâs real-life counterpart is Cuba. The country has been isolated from the rest of the world for 20 years since the execution of Presidente AntĂłn Castilloâs father. Afterwards AntĂłn Castillo was elected, but heâs running the country as a tyrannical fascist dictatorship. Heâs has a blockade around the island so escape is pretty much impossible. He indiscriminately executes resistance and insubordinate citizens. He enslaves his people to work in tobacco fields. Proudly and on itâs own, the government has created a chemical called Vivrio, which is sprayed onto the tobacco fields. Itâs supposedly the âcure for cancer,â but the people who work these fields end up getting sick (cancer?).
You play as Dani Rojas. When you start the game and get passed the cut scenes, youâll be given the binary choice to choose your gender. Dani is trying to escape with others by boat, but they donât get to leave as Castillo makes a surprise visit. His 13 year-old son, Diego, happens to be on the boat. He is grooming his son to take his place when he is gone, but Diego obviously isnât enthusiastic about it. Daniâs the only one to make it out alive.
After escaping, Dani ends up on one of the countryâs islands and joins a resistance called âLibertad.â Dani then has to go around the country to recruit resistant members and help support other resistance groups in the area. There are some great characters, but if âadultâ language isnât for you, then you might not want to play this. I like it, though.
The game reminds me of so many others that Iâm not sure if Iâll remember all of them in this list I want to share with you. Driving around reminds me of Final Fantasy XV. The game also reminds me of the Batman: Arkham series. You could easily compare it to other open-world games though. Oddly, the loading screen reminds me of DOOM or DOOM Eternal.
I canât speak much of other Far Cry games, but one thing I really enjoyed about Far Cry Primal was the ability to tame some animals and have them for support. This is also a feature in Far Cry 6, called âamigos.â During my 18 hours of game play I unlocked two of them, a crocodile, âGuapo,â and a dog named âChorizo.â I continued to use Guapo, because I found it the most useful. It can heal itself during a fight or self-revive apparently. Amigos donât permanently die. Instead the game tells you itâs âdownâ and you need to go to it to revive it, just as you would for teammates in co-op mode, which is similar to other games. Eventually it will revive, but this may be a specific ability for Guapo. You can command your amigo to go up to an enemy and do something, which is different for each amigo. Guapo will attack. Chorizo will distract enemies making it easier for you to sneak up for a silent takedown. Chorizo appears to be missing his hind legs and thus has a doggy wheel chair to help him get around. Itâs adorable and can also find items for you.
Youâll find multiple items around the country. Some of these are materials youâll see out in the open, like gasoline or metal scrap. There are also multiple containers around the country. Some of these containers will also give you weapons. As for weapons, there are a lot of them and a lot of types. There are pistols, rifles, rocket launchers, shot guns, bows, and more. Each weapon has slots for âmods,â which allow you to add something to the them such as a silencer or better scope. There are many options and youâre going to need materials to add these at a workbench, which you can find in camps.
One really interesting weapon is called the âSupremo.â You get this early in the game. Itâs pretty much a very special backpack. The first one you get is basically a rocket launcher. It has a gauge that refills when you kill enemies, so itâs not always available, but itâs very helpful! You can use it to take out multiple enemies or even a helicopter (which is the best way to do this without a separate rocket launcher). There are upgrades and different ones that provide different abilities, although I only unlocked the first one. They also allow you to carry four other things like Molotov cocktails, baseballs (for distraction), EMP grenades, and more.
Some add-on content includes some kind of Stranger Things mash-up, but Iâve never seen that show, and it doesnât seem to be something Iâm interested in. Thereâs a Rambo misson, too. And, to almost no surprise, Danny Trejo also makes an appearance. I didnât see him, I was given the mission, but didnât follow it. Itâs funny talking to the guy about Danny as they talk about his different roles, including the one that I first saw him play as Navajas in the movie âDesperado.â (BTW if you havenât seen this movie from â95, I strongly recommend it. I canât count how many times Iâve seen it. I saw it on the âbig screenâ and I think I still own the VHS. It's only the second part of a trilogy, though.)
There are three different levels of difficulty and I chose Story Mode, because I like things to be easy (I get easily frustrated with difficulty). I think this is a game Iâm interested in and Iâd recommend it if youâre a fan of the series. If youâre unfamiliar with the series, it seems like a good choice to jump in and check it out.
Be sure to check out the embedded video if youâre interested. Itâs called an âoverview trailerâ and itâs nearly 7 minutes long, but definitely worth watching.
What do you think about this? Is it something youâre interested in? Have you played other Far Cry games? Lemme know!
Sorry I didn't comment on this when you originally published this Greg.
> What do you think about this? Is it something youâre interested in? Have you played other Far Cry games? Lemme know!
So far I've played Far Cry, Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon and currently Far Cry 4. I think the Far Cry games are excellent open world shooters that are basically very similar but add new mechanics in each version that are nice but don't change the formula drastically. The biggest shift was when the series went open world with Far Cry 2 and then Far Cry 3 really sealed what the franchise is.
That said, I always am behind with the series because, frankly, it doesn't change that drastically and if you are several games behind you can buy them very cheaply. So right now I have Far Cry 4 and all DLC on my Series X and Far Cry 5 ready to go. So i'm playing through Far Cry 4 right now and I sort of take my time with it and play it a handful of hours per week, but nothing too focused.
For me, just taking each game a few hours at a time gives me more than enough joy and there is so much per game that I can take a year or so do actually complete it.
I honestly can't wait to get to Far Cry 6 because it looks so awesome but Far Cry 4 is so much fun to play so I'll get to it when all the DLC and such is cheap and I've completed each game in the middle. Which I think means I have to complete Far Cry 4 and all DLC, Far Cry 5 and all DLC Far Cry 5 expansions and Far Cry Primal?
Awesome. Might take me years, but sign me up. You can get all the Far Cry games in a bundle on XBox or PC cheap, so I recommend that if you want to jump into the franchise.
Thanks for replying, Jon! I now have FC 3, Blood Dragon, Primal, 6, and now 4, which I just recently got for free. I tried BD, but just wasn't into it. I enjoyed Primal. I enjoyed 6 while I played it, but I lost interest. Real life stuff was involved with that. I don't entirely blame the game, although the gameplay is a bit repetitive. That isn't necessarily or always a bad thing, especially if the gameplay is good. It's really cool. I've tried 3. The first time, I ran out of ammo and got disappointed. I tried it again, but didn't go very far with it. I'm not sure about the first time w/ 3, but the 2nd time and 1st and only time w/ 6, I've shamelessly played on easy.
I like the characters in the games. I like the interesting character models. I also like the auto movement, like automatically grabbing a ledge and pulling yourself up. I enjoyed my animal companions in Primal and 6. Right now in 6 I have Oluso the Panther (amigo) now., which is really cool! 6 also has a really cool weapon called the Primo, which is very effective against a group of enemies.
I have an interesting curiosity. I've been able to play 6 on pretty high quality settings. I don't recall my GPU or CPU fans getting very active while playing it, which surprised me. However, it doesn't take long for that to happen while playing 3 on the highest settings. I'm not sure which resolution I last played it on, but I think I at least tried 2K and didn't like that my FPS was dropped to half and looked a bit unacceptable. It's weird because 3 is older. My guess is that it isn't well optimized, but 6 is.
I've had all the FC games on my wish list for a while. I got 3, BD, and 4 for free, but I paid for Primal and 6, but not until they were out for some time. I got 6 for half off. I think I bought the Gold Edition (basically game plus season pass). I kind of think there was a 10% off coupon involved as well, I could be mistaken.
It's impressive how many little updates have come to Minecraft since I played it first years and years ago now. The Switch version is incredible and Mojang has taken great lengths to not only make the game playable on a controller but actually quite fun. The Switch version is slower than the PC version in terms of loading but once you are in the game things run along quite well.
We don't have grand ambitions for our area but it would be pretty cool to find where the Villagers are staying around us. Since we're on the Switch I can't do a map hack to peek where that might be and I haven't found a way to zero in on where they may be so for now, I think we'll have to just explore a lot around us.
For now, we are having a lot of fun playing the game together, or I suppose I play the game and we talk about what we want to do. At some point when he's older I image we'll play multiplayer Minecraft in our own world but for now it's fun to just share in building our house and world together this way.
(Dang it Jon, I hope others are looking at this site with a resolution above 1080p. 1440p lets me see two stories on the front page and I always feel guilty when I notice someone's posted right as I'm about to and their post gets bumped down. Clearly this isn't the first time. LOL)
Wow, what an amazing thing I totally forgot about, playing Minecraft with your son! However, in contrast to your experience, my son is the reason I got into Minecraft. Once I started, I was hooked! We haven't played together much, but I did set up a Java server briefly. I don't know if you're aware of this, but the Bedrock version, which is the one all consoles run, is actually playable cross-platform. So, while you're playing on the Switch, I could join with my PC, and my son (now 18!) could join with his PS4 (for example). I haven't played the Bedrock version very much, but in my experience it seems to run a lot smoother than the Java version. I got my Windows 10 edition when it was offered for free when it was released for Windows 10.
I'm so happy for you that you've entered the Minecraft world with your son! It's an exciting time! It's a fantastic game for people of all ages. It's one of the few games I can think of that actually brings very many people together. As you probably know, it's extremely popular and you know they're still adding content. The next update will include mangrove forest, frogs, and more.
Frogs? Canât wait!
I also didnât know that all bedrock versions are compatible, thatâs really good to know.
Ya know what's funny? My son got me into Minecraft, now he wants to follow in my footsteps and get into Ark: Survival Evolved since it's on PS Plus right now. LOL
Thatâs awesome. I hope he loves it!
Liam loves minecraft, but will only play it with Joi at this point in time. If I offer to play, I get a âno thanks.â đ¤Ł
Doesnât like the way you build?
He finds me boring. đ¤Ł
How so?
I probably don't play right.
Hey guys. I just learned that the release date for 1.19 is June 7th. Here's an article if you want to read more about it: https://www.pcgamesn.com/minecraft/1-19-update-release-date
My son fired up the early 1.19 snapshot release. He is loving it.
Awesome! How old is he? High school graduation for mine (18) is next Saturday assuming he gets his work turned in on time.
Paul Soares, Jr. has a 1.18 playthrough on YouTube I've continued watching. It's making me want to jump in. I may check out the latest snapshot after I see what's on xismavoid's channel. It's been about a couple of months since I last played and I'm worried I'll tire of it quickly.

Wow, yeah Minecraft kids are smart! They know how to get the beta content.
We haven't found the village around us yet. Wish we could but I think it may be far away.
That said, I wonder if you need to spawn a new world to get this cave content after the patch drops? That said, it looks to add a lot more variety to the game by those undercave biomes. Getting closer to Terraria a bit at a time.
If you have "cheats enabled" on the world, you could use the "/locate" command to find a village and /tp there. I haven't used that command, but I keep /tp coordinates in a document so I can just /tp to where I want to go. Minecraft commands: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Commands/locate
Yeah, Minecraft is seeming more like Terraria now, that's a good observation. I think this is great, because the underground is getting variety that we've only seen above ground until recently. Speaking of Terraria, did you know there's a Terraria update coming? https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/terraria-state-of-the-game-may-2022.112582/
As far as I understand it, you don't need to spawn a new world to get the new content for each update, you need to explore areas you haven't yet discovered. I'm sure I've heard or read that the devs have taken extra care to make sure that updates don't destroy worlds that already exist. The C&C Update extended the height and depth of the world border so they had to take extra care to make sure they didn't break existing worlds.
Here's a bit more detail: Minecraft worlds are made up of chunks. They are invisible (though you can make them visible) and they contain everything. "A chunk in Minecraft is a procedurally generated 16 x 16 segment of the world that extends all the way down to the" bottom of the world and all the way to the top of the world. (IGN quote) As you explore, new chunks in the world are created. If you started your world with 1.8 then all of the chunks that have been created by exploring are 1.8 chunks. If you want to see the new content you have to explore further into your world so that it will create new chunks, which contain 1.9 content if that's what you're playing after the update.
IGN "How big is a chunk" (gave me an answer I was looking for): https://www.ign.com/wikis/minecraft/How_Big_is_a_Chunk_in_Minecraft
FYI Minecraft Java and Bedrock editions are being bundled together on PC. Players who own either version will receive the other for free in a new update coming. The brief article I just read is worth reading. It helps briefly give you an idea about why there are these two different versions of Minecraft and which is run by different platforms.
I bought my Minecraft codes (one for me and one for Vinny) at Wal-Mart many years ago. When they released it for Windows 10, they gave it away for free to those of us that already owned the Java version. So, that's how I have both versions (and this update will be insignificant to me).
Source: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/minecraft-is-bundling-java-and-bedrock-editions-on-pc-starting-june-7/1100-6504197/
I saw that. Does the PC version entitle you to an XBox version now? I hope that's part of this update, it's strange it hasn't worked like that before.
Yes, but it isn't called "an XBox version." There are two main versions of Minecraft; Java and Bedrock Edition. When I heard about why bundles aren't in the game yet, I was reminded that there is a third version called Pocket Edition. I thought they got rid of it, but it's the one used on tablets and similar touch devices. I used it on the Kindle Fire I had.
The Java Edition is only on PC, because it was originally written in Java, which is incompatible w/ pretty much everything else. So, they created the Bedrock Edition, which is written in C++.
"Parity!" Thanks, you just helped me remember the right term I was trying to use in my Wild Update post (now corrected). I thought it was "polarity," but knew it didn't sound right. LOL! Parity is something the devs are taking very seriously. They want to make sure that every version of Minecraft contains the same content so that there are few if any differences in gameplay.
I'd say each version has it's own unique thing about it. Java is the one with mod support, while Bedrock is the one that has access to the Marketplace.
Both versions and Minecraft Dungeons used to have separate launchers, but they all now use the same one. Currently the Bedrock Edition is listed in the launcher as "Minecraft for Windows," but that's only calling it a different name. I don't know why it doesn't just say "Bedrock Edition."
I like both versions, but Bedrock does seem to look a bit nicer and run a bit smoother. I've been avoiding it since I discovered a nasty bug that AFAIK hasn't been resolved. I (and others) noticed Villagers disappearing, which apparently happens due to chunk borders.
Are you aware of Minecraft RTX? That's a Bedrock Edition exclusive, too.
I have played around with rtx. It is cool. Not much more to say about it.
My son flipped out about 1.19 officially releasing. We just built him his first pc for 5th grade graduation and it was available the day his PC was done. Great timing!
Wow that's awesome and congrat's on the graduation. Vinny graduated high school almost a full week ago. I don't know if he's played it, but I did tell him about it and the Ark update coming in a couple days. I checked out the snapshot, but Diablo Immortal is the game keeping me occupied these days (and I'm loving it!).
It's nice to see he's so enthusiastic. I shared a video by xisumavoid where he was talking about how he's seeing so much negativity towards this update and he explained why that could be (really, expectations not being tempered). I can't wait to get an Allay, though I'm worried I'll lose it since I "/tp" so much. Sorry, I'm repeating myself from my post. LOL
How was the RTX? What GPU are you using? I wish I had a good RTX. Luckily, I've decided I actually don't want a 3090Ti. That thing requires extra power connections and a powerful PSU. It's also big and while I read that it has good thermals, it makes everything else hot. I don't have $2,000 anyway. I'm still happy w/ my 3 year old 1660Ti XC Gaming GPU (which I bought a 10 year warranty for), but RTX is something I'd love to be able to do.
I still want a better GPU for Ark, even though I haven't been playing it as much. There's a new map in a couple days though so I'll probably jump back in soon. Some maps (especially Genesis Part 2) still perform horribly. Although the first map runs really well most of the time.
I got a new monitor at the end of last year, though. Now I'm running 1440p@165hz. I like it, I can even get games to do 2K, but that extra resolution has an impact and I'm not sure the better quality is very noticeable. I haven't played much Ark with it yet, but when I did try it out, it kind of seemed crisper.
I have a 2070. Rtx was cool, I guess. I am to the point where graphics donât wow me as much as they used to.
I'm jealous, but this is interesting. As recent as last year I think, I looked up how much Amazon still listed my GPU, which I bought from them (2019). It was listed double what I paid for it. Now it looks like that's the price of your GPU, which is more reasonable than the $1,000+. I believe we did finally get a break with outrageous GPU prices in recent months. My previous GPU was a 980Ti and about about the price of yours, but this one was half that and better (of course it's newer). The one I had before that was a GTX690. It was a $1,000 card, I got in an Alienware and was a major disappointment. I wanted it so bad, but I came to learn how ignorant I was about it.
I think I'm reaching your point, too, actually. I still want a better GPU, because I want steady performance. I want to be able to have beauty like RTX. I've been pretty satisfied with most games and don't have much trouble running on "High" settings, but Ark could still benefit from new hardware.
What kind of monitor? Or what res and refresh rate are you playing with and how's your FPS?
Yeah, I was shocked to see how much my card is still going for. I ended up doing a 3050 for my son. It was reasonably priced.
I have a 1080 monitor. I donât really know my refresh rate and fps. As long as the fps doesnât stutter, I am happy. 30fps is all you need. đ¤Ł
1080p is still the great standard IMO. As for me, I want a constant 60 and not much lower. Anything much less than that seems noticeable and I don't like it. Some games are really good at 30 and unnoticeable. 30 isn't good enough for Ark, though, not for me.
The Dell monitor I got with my Alienware served me by being my monitor for two PCs. It still works and is perfectly fine, but I wanted to experience this new tech. I wanted to see what a higher res and refresh rate would look like. I also wanted GSync. Honestly, I'm not sure I'm seeing much of a difference. It's hard to tell. I'm happy with what I have now, so I guess that's what matters most.
The GPU is perhaps the one piece of hardware I always wish I could afford to upgrade. LOL I'm not quite where I want to be, but this GPU of mine seems to be still very good even at about $300-400 and being about 3 years old.
You stating that you're at the point where graphics don't wow you as much reminds me of Moore's Law.
I tend to play console games more. I do have a 4K/120Hz tv for that. To me the jump from 1080 to 4K is not as noticiable as from 480 to 1080.
Cool! My TV is about 12 years old. It helped bring me to HD w/ 1080p@60hz with my PS3. Yeah, that sounds like Moore's Law. Res above 1080 doesn't seem noticeable. 720 seems fine for video, but I don't like much less than that.
FPS above 60 doesn't seem noticeable to me either. <60 is what I notice and don't like. (Although some things are fine at 30. I'm used to seeing that this is a console standard.) I've been able to do 2K w/ this monitor and I'm still not sure of a noticeable difference. I played Monster Hunter Rise this way. It apparently locks the FPS max at 60, maybe it's just something it can't do @ a higher rate.
I'm playing on Ark's new map, finally with my new monitor, at 1440p. At times I see FPS over 30 (at one point I saw it was 31), 40's, and 50's. I don't recall seeing it higher, but it could have been. I haven't been keeping an eye on it the whole time. I want that steady 60 FPS, but don't want to change my resolution or tinker w/ settings once again. What I'm realizing is that 30+FPS is fine and I don't think I'm noticing a difference (between this and 60FPS). I'm not sure if I'm noticing a difference between this res and the 1920X1200 I was using before.
30 fps is all you need. Movies are only 24 fps, and we all like it, so think of it as getting 6 extra frames!
That's a good thing to point out. I thought movies and TV were 30 and yes they are totally fine. Thanks man!
TV is 30 fps. Film is 24 fps.
> 30 fps is all you need. Movies are only 24 fps, and we all like it, so think of it as getting 6 extra frames!
Iâd argue the cinematic experience isnât quite the same as games.
Big reason why is games respond to your input and that effects how they feel. For instance, I bet youâd notice a difference between 30 and 60 and I can sure tell if itâs more than that. For instance 120 fps games on my Series X and TV are really really smooth.
Maybe not everyone can tell, but itâs nice and with movies and such youâre not interacting with it other that watching it.
I'm glad we're having this discussion again (I remember asking what you all thought about it). You make a good point, Jon. We experience them differently.
I'm not use to 120, but I can do 1440p@165. I'm sure I get that in Minecraft (without my favorite shader pack). Other games are more demanding, certainly, so my FPS varies. I can push it to 2K, but I believe 165 drops to 60. I'm just glad I finally got a new monitor so I could expand my 1080p@60 experience. I'm still unsure about it. I'm not sure I've figured out HDR either and I'm not sure I like it. I've read complaints that Windows 10 HDR wasn't implemented well.
I actually canât tell the difference between 30/60/120. It is bliss.
What resolution do you use while playing normally or most of the time (for games in general)? I'm playing Jurassic World Evolution 2 now (new DLC) at 1440p on some high or very high settings. I'm getting about 30+ FPS and I'm happy with it. 2K wasn't as acceptable. I'm not sure I notice the higher resolutions anyway, unless things get smaller (like text). I think I care more about the flashier side of it all and getting as much performance as I can. I don't like having to make sacrifices, but it's usually manageable. I believe I know Jon's playing with 4K on his XBox.
4K or 1080p. If frame rate fluctuates I will notice that, but if it is steady, I wonât notice.
I believe Jon mentioned this. I'm not sure how I learned about it, probably GameSpot news that I read daily. Anyway there's an announce trailer for Minecraft Legends. I like the "cinematic footage," but I'm not so sure about the "pre-release gameplay." I was happy to see two Allay, one blue. I love them, even though I haven't played w/ them yet. You can see the trailer here (https://youtu.be/1JSjZqV-YK8). I might have more details later.
I hope they have a lot more details later because Iâm not entirely sure what the game is.
My son wants it though đ¤Ł
If you're playing on PC I strongly suggest you do so via UPlay as it will let you download and install. At the moment Epic Games Store says it's... Read All Far Cry 6 is free to play this weekend. If you're playing on PC I strongly suggest you do so via UPlay as it will let you download and install. At the moment Epic Games Store says it's "unavailable." (after 12AM EST and it's still "unavailable," but I'm playing it on UPlay.)
Quick note: HDR is a feature. I was impressed with my benchmark. The lowest FPS I got was about 66 (at 1440p), highest was just over 80 and avg was about 75. My PC is almost 3. I have an i7, 32GB RAM, NVME SSD, and a GTX 1660 (EVGA XC Gaming). GeForce Experience is recommending "optimal" settings which are lower than I have already set, so I suggest ignoring that. The game will detect your hardware and allow you to customize it.
Oh and there's a Ubisoft Spring Sale going on now until 3/31. This game is 50% off (it's never been cheaper), so it's a great time to try it out and get it while it's on sale.
Also, this is a co-op game, so if you want to play together on UPlay, feel free to let me know. As usual my username is "gregopeck." If you want to play on EGS I can reinstall it for that platform when it's available there.
Be sure to check the embedded video as it's a "Game Overview Trailer." It's nearly 7 minutes long, but worth watching if you're interested or unsure.
Perhaps the most appealing thing about this game in my opinion is that it stars Giancarlo Esposito. I've only seen him as Moff Gideon (The Mandalorian) and he did such an amazing job!
I've played Far Cry Primal and liked it. I've tried Far Cry 3 (which I got for free), but didn't get far (hahah "far") with it (I ran out of ammo). I also tried Blood Dragon, but didn't get far with it either, I didn't really like it.
Let me know what you think. Are you planning to play this weekend? Are you a fan of the series? Share your thoughts!
CPUs, RAM, GPUs, custom water cooling, storage devices, PSUs, case fans, and cases, everything you could possibly need for a PC build are available. More parts unlock... Read All PC Building Simulator is very interesting. Itâs the only âsimulatorâ game that I care about it. Itâs the only one that perfectly fits my expertise. One of the great things about this game is that you donât have to know how to build a PC, the game will teach you. After all, to put pieces together, you just point, click, or hold the mouse button anyway. Still, thereâs a little bit of challenge to it. Perhaps whatâs most interesting to a PC enthusiast like myself is the vast amount of available parts to use.
CPUs, RAM, GPUs, custom water cooling, storage devices, PSUs, case fans, and cases, everything you could possibly need for a PC build are available. More parts unlock as you progress. These parts are available IRL and that to me is exciting. I was glad to see many of the components I used in my latest PC build (Azure Azule still for those that know), including my case (Fractal Design Focus G Petrol-blue). There are so many brand names in the game itâs hard to cover them all. I recognize very many of them, but there were some I didnât. Some of the ones I am familiar with include MSI, NZXT, Corsair, EVGA, Intel, AMD, Cooler Master, and very many more!
Want to build that really awesome expensive PC you dream of? Want to build a budget PC as cheap as possible? You can do all that! In fact, during the campaign, youâll get the chance to do each multiple times. So, letâs go over the game play.
This is kind of my dream job actually. Youâve inherited a PC business that does general troubleshooting and builds PCs for customers. The troubleshooting is basic in that if an issue isnât hardware, itâs a virus. That to me is one of the reasons I love this, itâs pretty much strictly all about the hardware. It either works or itâs broken and needs to be replaced. This may not completely reflect real life, but it pretty much does and thatâs the simplicity of the game.
You have your own PC in the shop and you can upgrade and customize it, but really thereâs no need to as thereâs no additional benefit. This PC is pretty much for email and accessing apps. Each day youâll receive email from customers asking you to either repair their PC, upgrade it, or build them a new one. Theyâll provide very basic detail, some times very little (kind of like real life am I right?). Sometimes theyâre smart enough to suggest which part might be the problem, but (again just like IRL) theyâre not always right. Sometimes you just have to figure it out.
You have three workbenches you can unlock, which will allow you to work on three PCs at once. You also have a storage closet that can hold a few PCs. The workbenches and closet can help serve as temporary storage, because they take PCs off of the floor. Each day you return to work, some PCs will arrive. Theyâll be in a row by the door, but there are only so many PCs that will fit here. If you donât have room for all thatâs incoming, the postal person will email you letting you know they were unable to deliver and try again later. Once you unlock the two extra workbenches and storage closet, this becomes pretty much a non-issue.
Troubleshooting is mostly very easy. So, what do you do first? Boot the PC of course! If it doesnât turn on itâs either the PSU or motherboard that you have to replace. In this case, check the PSU first, because motherboards are a pain, making you disconnect everything. If it boots, BIOS may tell you âmissing CPUâ or âmissing RAM.â Youâll have to take the faulty part out and replace it. When you have parts in your inventory, youâll be able to tell if somethingâs broken, because it will be labeled as such. Sometimes they'll also have labels on them showing that they belong to a customer and must be returned.
When you figure out what's wrong, youâll want to go back to the customerâs email to see the budget theyâve set aside for this and whether or not they have preferences. For instance, some customers really want G. Skill or some other brand. They will rate your business and they really like it when you pay attention and give them what they want. You get paid for each job, of course. You can completely ignore their budget. Sure you'll get paid and fully reimbursed, but they won't be happy about it. So, for each job, youâll have to order the parts first, then get reimbursed by the customers (with your own wage included). You basically just have to keep an eye on how much money you have and need.
Sometimes customers will provide a date of when they want it. Often theyâll give you at least a day, sometimes more or they donât specify. When you order parts from the app, you can select from three different delivery options, each increasing in price. You can also order used parts and PCs from the app called âPCbayâ (and it looks like Ebay) however these are usually used parts and most customers will let you know in their email that used parts are unacceptable. But, you can sell used parts on the app and you can put together PCs from your spare parts and sell them. This is really helpful to clean out your inventory of used parts.
Some customers want custom water cooling, which I think is real fun, even though I donât want to do it IRL. There are AIO coolers, like the one I have for my CPU, but the custom cooling includes water blocks, water cooled specific GPUs, coolant and color, and pipes. Itâs real easy to do and I really enjoyed doing it. I liked using the harder tubing and seeing direct lines and angles. You can easily put bends in the tubing, too. Itâs much easier to do than IRL (from what Iâve seen on JayZTwoCents on YouTube).
Another part of the game I enjoyed that I also donât want to do IRL is overclocking. Some customers want you to overclock their CPU and/or GPU. They also often want to target a specific 3DMark score. While itâs easiest to just buy the most expensive CPU and GPU to get the highest score possible, you still want to pay attention to the customerâs budget. I said customers will rate you and you can see these ratings on an app. It doesnât seem to matter much, but apparently higher scores will get you more jobs to do (which means you make more $).
Overclocking is pretty easy, itâs really not that complicated IRL either. It is slightly confusing though, especially if your not all familiar with it. To overclock you need to adjust the clock speed, ratio, and voltage. Adjusting the clock speed increases the number in relatively small increments. Using the ratio, however, will increase the number in relatively bigger increments. Voltage is one of the most important of these, because in order to get the CPU or GPU to use the new clock speed, you have to increase the voltage. Voltage signifies how much power the part is receiving. Sometimes 3DMark will crash with a blue screen. Why it's crashed is vaguely explained in the blue screen message, but unless you're experienced with this, you may have to check online for what they mean. There are good guides out there for this game, so check them out if you run into anything youâre unsure of.
Just like IRL, you can go into BIOS and make some adjustments, like the XMP profile for RAM (which I find always disabled, I donât know why). However, this is how you overclock the CPU. The BIOS screen will also tell you the CPUâs temp, but you have to reboot and get back into BIOS after you make changes to see the new or unchanged temp. Whatâs really cool about this is that the BIOS for many manufacturers is represented and they very much look like they do IRL. All of them are pretty much set up the same way.
One of the most important parts of overclocking is very much exactly like the real life risk of overclocking (and why I donât want to do it) and that is thermal protection. Overclocked parts usually run hotter. This often happens when voltage is increased. So, youâll want to look into your cooling options. An AIO or custom water cooling system is best in this scenario.
To overclock the GPU, youâll need to use an app. Thereâs another app that will quickly let you know how the overclock (for both CPU and GPU) is performing and whether or not itâs experiencing thermal throttling. You most definitely want to avoid this (like IRL). So, if the app shows thermal throttling is taking place, you know you need to lower your adjustments or add better cooling. I think usually, if your in BIOS overclocking the CPU and notice itâs above 70c, then itâs probably going to throttle. Iâm not sure thatâs exactly the temp I refer to, but itâs very close (within a few degrees).
I keep mentioning how things are IRL, but this game is so very accurate. When overclocking, youâll notice you can get parts to run close to or even at 90c and theyâll still not throttle (just like IRL what did I say?). In truth, itâs actually hard to âfryâ a component. They will shut themselves down long before they can reach this point. You may have seen where your own CPU or GPU thermal limit might reach about 90c. As long as your hardware isnât throttling, itâs all good. While I realize this, I still get nervous when my air-cooled GPU gets above 70c or too close to 80c. Don't forget to regularly dust your PC. This is relevant in the game, too, as you'll see some PCs are dusty and you'll need to use your canned air to clean it (sound familiar?).
You donât have many tools in the game other than apps, but unlike real life, you donât really need many. You have a flash drive which contains all the apps you own (you can purchase more for in-game currency). You may not always need your apps. Sometimes youâll even get perhaps the easiest job to do, a virus scan. Iâd like to also point out another real life thing and that is the OS will start up slowly or quickly depending on what kind of storage you have. NVME M.2 devices will boot up nearly instantly, while a HDD might take a few more seconds.
If youâre like me and a PC building enthusiast or if youâre interested in getting into PC building, this game is for you (or us I should say). There are some expansions for it, but I havenât tried them out. I received this game some time ago (I donât remember when) for free on EGS. I enjoyed the game, but eventually it got too monotonous, so I moved on. I might return to check out the IT expansion that was included. You can also buy (with real world $) other workbenches, especially themed ones, like the Razer one for instance. Speaking of Razer, you can change the hardware on your desk like your mouse, keyboard, and pad. I was glad to see my Razer keyboard and mouse there.
I'd also like to mention some really cool things you can unlock and purchase (for in-game $). There are "tools" that make it so that you don't have to click on each screw or cable to put them together. They're expensive, but you can buy "tools" that do all this automatically, which is very handy!
I mentioned getting this on EGS, but it's also on Steam. I also see it's on consoles. Also, as I was looking for a video to embed, I found one announcing PC Building Simulator 2. You can check it out at this link, but it's not really much to look at: https://youtu.be/GRtowcZtaos
What do you think about this? Have you played it? Does it sound like something youâre interested in? Let me know! If your an enthusiast like me and want to post the specs of a PC you built, feel free! Feel free to also let me know about your own PC building experience. Iâve been doing it for a very long time, although I bought my previous PC.
This sounds awesome! I've always wanted to learn how to build my own PC, and this looks like fun!
It's only $20 on Steam, so it's very affordable. I'm still curious about the IT expansion, because I didn't try it.
Does it have an eBay scalper manager mini game to get through the RTX 3080 scalpers and get the best street price? đ
No, you can get those easily! And forget about a 3080, you can get a 3090 instead! If only real life was like this....
Now you've got me wondering what kind of 3DMark score I could get in the game with a 3090 (or dual 3090s). I don't think they're available to met yet at the point I'm in. One of the best GPUs I can get is a Vega 2. I don't remember which is the most expensive card I can get, but that's one of them. I'm pretty sure I have access to i9s and I do remember having Threadripper.
Are you aware of PC Building Simulator 2? https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/pc-building-simulator-2
Kamala is a teenage Pakistani. She's obsessed with the Avengers, especially Captain Marvel, and fantasizes about being a super hero (and a teenage guy). In the game and comics, she gets her powers from a Terrigen bomb that went off. "Super heroes" created this way are usually called "inhuman." You may recognize this term from the show of the same name (which I haven't watched yet) or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Her powers... Read All Ms. Marvel arrives on Disney+ on June 8th. I was introduced to Kamala Khan while playing Marvel's Avengers. The story focused around her and maybe that's why she's one of my most favorite characters in the game. In fact, I barely used any other character.
Her powers are pretty much (at least in the game) that she can "embiggen" her fists and feet. This is much like Mr. Fantastic, but quite different.
Erik Voss's breakdown mentioned that it looks like she gets her power from Kree technology, the wristband she wears. We can see her slip into what seems some other form of reality, which could be the Negative Zone, which is where the Fantastic Four gets their powers from. Seeing her go into this reminded me of when we watched Monica Rambeau go into Wanda's reality bubble over Westview after Wanda threw her out. Kamala, Monica, and Captain Marvel will appear together in a movie soon called "The Marvels."
The MCU has introduced us to numerous young characters, which are actually in the Young Avengers in the comics. It appears the MCU is setting them up and Kamala could very well become one of them, even though she isn't in the comics.
I haven't read many comics, so most of my knowledge about a lot of this comes from New Rockstars on YouTube. I'm familiar with other comic book related media, too. I'm glad Kamala's coming to live-action, although I'm going to miss seeing the one I'm used to in the game. I think the actor they chose seems like a good fit though. It reminds me of how I liked the Kate Bishop in the same game and missed her, but the live-action version of her was really good.
Oh and I like how in the trailer she corrects someone on how to pronounce her name. You might remember when that happened with someone else *wink*.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to this? What do you know about Ms. Marvel? Have you played Marvel's Avengers?
Check out my spoiler-free review of Marvel's Avengers: https://cheerfulghost.com/GregoPeck/posts/4659/marvel-s-avengers-a-spoiler-free-review
Looking forward to it, but first Moon Knight!
The Avengers game sits in my backlog. Maybe soon!
The game was kinda "meh." I think getting to know Kamala and Kate Bishop were some of the best parts of it. Shiny Iron Man-looking costumes for everyone was cool, too. Plus, it has microtransactions.
Itâs very weird that they changed her powers so drastically.
Itâs been very hard for me to pronounce Kamala Harrisâs name properly because itâs the opposite emphasis of Kamala Khan. I kinda love that nod in the trailer lol
Also yeah I played some Avengers. Kinda want to play more but eeehhhh itâs not a fave. I loved Kamala in that game though
Yeah, it is curious that they changed her powers, I wonder why that was. From what I've gathered, it seems the TV series "Inhumans" didn't do so well in it's single season. Maybe they're trying to shy away from that. Still, she has cosmic power like Captain Marvel and Monica. All three have that all encompassing cosmic area around them at some point. Maybe the bracelets are Kree tech, maybe a Skrull had them. I'm looking forward to this, though. The actress looks adorable, I like her hearty smile. I think she's going to be fantastic.
Travis, have you played Avengers multiplayer? I haven't. I last played when the Black Panther part was released, but I haven't played any of the newer Spider-Man content. I read that he didn't get a story bit like Hawkeye and Black Panther. I think he's just a playable character, I'm not sure. Also, what do you think about Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy? I haven't tried it yet.
I also havenât tried Guardians but it seems like more of what I was expecting from Avengers from reviews Iâve read. I may dive into it when it hits a sale or something.
And yeah I played a bit of multiplayer in Avengers but really didnât care for it. It seemed like that game was trying to be a lot of things at once and had some great ideas but they didnât come together as well as I had hoped
Be sure to check out the single post-credits scene!
Kamala is a teenager and I find her high school plight totally relatable. I like her family's accents and the Pakistani culture the show exposes us to. I love learning about cultures that differ from what I've been a part of.
I like this! I was digging the music right away! I was introduced to Ms. Marvel by playing Marvel's Avengers video game. I loved her (and Kate Bishop, who was also introduced to me by the game). This Kamala Khan is certainly different, but I'm looking forward to seeing more of her. Welcome to the MCU, Kamala Khan! Avengers assemble!
I can't stop listening to the intro song on repeat over and over again! I love it so much! https://youtu.be/fHI8X4OXluQ
Iâm shocked you hadnât been exposed to Blinding Lights yet! I wasnât a fan of The Weeknd until that album, but that album and especially that song is incredible
First episode was great!
How were you exposed to it? That will answer your shock. I know I'm missing out on lots of newer music. I guess music news and new music just doesn't come my way easily or often. I even checked in w/ Orgy's discography to make sure I haven't missed out. Sadly they haven't had anything since the last one that I'm still obsessed with. I get email from Pearl Jam and another band (you can guess who, it doesn't need to be said and I can tell you more about that if you want).
If I'm not listening to something I'm already aware of that I have or find on YouTube, I listen to the radio when I'm driving, but that's ROV and The River (like ROV but stationed in my area). They're "classic rock" stations, so it's always been Dad's music to me (which I still always liked), but now our favorite music that we "grew up on" is "classic rock!" I don't have a car anymore so I haven't been listening to CDs. I tried streaming services, but always get disappointed of hearing the same things repeat all the time. It's why I hate radio (other than commercials and static).
I checked out The Weeknd's 4th CD and put that song on repeat multiple times! It's an interesting song, because I heard it and liked it right away. It wasn't the lyrics, but now that I'm used to hearing it and more familiar with the lyrics, I've discovered that they speak to me.
This happened with Moon Knight, too! That song was Engelbert Humperdinck's "A Man Without Love." It became my theme song. I've played it so many times! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6YSuK6H8jU)
I'm glad you enjoyed it, too Will_Ball! I love Kamala so much!
Who would you guys cosplay as? I think if I went to AvengersCon I'd most likely cosplay as Doctor Strange, because he's my current favorite Avenger. I don't want Benedict Cumberbatch to stop being Doctor Strange! Lucky guy's getting Clea finally! Thor's tempting, too, but that's mostly because of our hair length. I wish I looked like him LOL. He also has a zombie variant that's the only zombie I like and I think he's very awesome!
Hmm. Probably iron man.
I wish he didn't die and that Robert Downey, Jr. would continue. He did a great job, I think. I feel like I can kind of identify with him as a tech enthusiast who has no super powers. I'm not a genius or drunk though.
Kamala's powers haven't reached their final form yet: https://youtu.be/VynD37ZhXm0
Greg, I was exposed to Blinding Lights on YouTube first actually. I kept getting suggestions for covers of it (and some of them are amazing!)
Interesting. How did you initially find it on YouTube?
Are there covers you'd like to recommend? Wait until you see my incoming Midnight Suns posts, there's a couple Metallica covers in the trailers I'm sharing and I love them!
(Spoiler-free without ambiguity)
Oh my goodness I love this so much! It keeps me smiling and laughing! I think she's starting to take a lead over Doctor Strange as my current favorite "Avenger." This is really amazing!
I just started reading the Ms. Marvel series (2014-2019) by G. W. Wilson (noticed the GWW initials of the guidance counselor). I've just started Vol. 2 and I may be about 1/4 into it. This episode was very similar to what I just read and those things stood out and made me happy to see them. (I love these references!)
Also, comic book Kamala is a gamer. Trust me, she's definitely one of us. She makes a lot of references to things we'd recognize even if their names are different (like her favorite game is World of Battlecraft). She even referenced "All Your Base Are Belong to Us!"
There have been free comics Marvel's given out on their site via QR codes in the episodes, like they did with Moon Knight. You can see those here: https://www.marvel.com/msmarvelcomics
What I love about comics is that they don't necessarily spoil anything we see in movies and shows like this. It's a great way to get to know a character. It's also easy to be disappointed in how their adaptation to the live screen goes, but it's still cool.
Are you loving this, too? Have you read any of her comics yet? Would you like to?
Iâm so impressed that Kamalaâs actor has never done anything before this. Sheâs so great at it
Yes! She's also an avid Marvel fan!
I was thinking a thought that was sacrilegious, heresy. It made me wonder if I was on "the path" (Obi-Wan reference check) to the Dark Side. I was thinking that since this show started, I might be enjoying this more than Obi-Wan. Yet both are different so it's hard to compare the two. Obi-Wan is awesome, too. Ms. Marvel is just making me react in a different way. I think it's just a testament to how much enjoyment I'm getting from this. It's really among the best!
It seems the QR code from the 1st episode let us read the 1st comic from GWW's run in 2014. The one for this episode is the issue I just started on, which is the one I mentioned that was very much related to this episode.
I'd like to see the show do a time warp and show us what happened in with her family at that train. (It was her grandmother? Who she sees in visions which is the same actor that plays Kamran's mom?) It'd be culturally educational to show us what was going on during that tragic time in area's history. It would expose a lot of us to a history we may not be familiar with, one which isn't taught in American public schools. That's a scene I feel like can be anticipated. I love being exposed to such things. Diversity and cultural awareness is something I very much value!
BTW I wanted to let everyone know about how to pronounce "Kamala." Obviously, it sounds exactly as they say it in the show. I think of it as sounding like "Ka-maul-a." However, our Vice President pronounces her name like "Comma-la," which she's stated. I found videos of both so that I could become less confused with the pronunciation and get it right. I think acknowledging there's a "right" way to pronounce each is respectful and showing cultural awareness and acceptance.
If you want, I can link some videos to you. I just did a simple search and found videos where they say it multiple times.
Ms Marvel was a great show. Really enjoyed it.
Yes! The first two episodes were very fantastic! My enthusiasm kind of fell off after that, but I still enjoyed it. I really loved the wedding, which is the first and only one I can think of that I enjoyed watching. I'm glad we got introduced to Pakistani culture and the border crisis. I would love to see more about it all. I learned how to properly pronounce this "Kamala" with the VP "Kamala" and feel more learned and cultured for it.
I'm still confused by the Norr dimension and what happened with Kamran. I loved Kamala's last conversation with her dad, it really pulled at my heart strings. Her last conversation w/ Bruno was a WTF moment. I can't believe they said that and played that tune! This is a retcon, yet it follows with the original intention for the character.

Read All The sequel to Sonic's first movie starts playing on April 8th and it looks jammed packed with action and references to the game series. Tails and Knuckles have become co-stars. Knuckles is working with Dr. Robotnic who's returned but has found out about the Chaos emerald. There are many bits that anyone who's played the Sonic games would be able to pretty much pick up right away. Sonic and Tails perform a CGI/live-action version of their biplane scene. Sonic sliding down a snowy mountain reminded me of the game as well.
I remember when Sonic's movie came out. There Internet lost it's mind when the first trailer came out. After much pressure from fans, Sonic was redesigned. I don't remember how that Sonic looked, but I didn't have much of a problem with it. I do like this Sonic, though. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a sequel to this introducing Shadow.
What do you think? Did you like the first movie? Are you going to go see this one?
Now that the new Ninja Turtles brawler Shredders Revenge has blown up the gaming scene with a lot of interest it seems Konami is looking to keep that going with the release of The Cowabunga Collection featuring 13 classic Ninja Turtles games including the Ninja Turtles... Read All The Ninja Turtles video games are some of the most iconic retro arcade and console games around. As a young lad I spent way too many quarters playing the Ninja Turtles Arcade game and later got Ninja Turtles on the NES. NES Ninja Turtles, I'd argue, is a good game that's incredibly difficult. Still, I played it so much I made it to the Technodrome a handful of times but never could quite complete it.
Now that the new Ninja Turtles brawler Shredders Revenge has blown up the gaming scene with a lot of interest it seems Konami is looking to keep that going with the release of The Cowabunga Collection featuring 13 classic Ninja Turtles games including the Ninja Turtles Arcade Game, Turtles in Time, SNES Tournament Fighters, The Hyperstone Heist and The Manhattan Project. This is even getting a physical release at launch so if you looking to add this to your game collection, you can. And with a $40 launch price tag that's about a dollar a game so why not?

Cowabunga dude! I had the first Game Boy game. I remember playing the arcade game. I'm not sure if I actually played it in the arcade, but I did play the console version, which I think/thought was on the SNES. Oh! I just remembered playing a TMNT NES game, too. It was out on PC, too, in '95 but my parents wouldn't get it for me and I had no money in high school. All these games I've mentioned, I think, are the first ones that came out for each console/arcade.
Thanks for sharing!
Canât wait for this
Steam says Aug. 30 and still no price listed.
Should be the price of the physical copy which seems to be $39.99.
Cool, thanks!
Let me know what you think. Is this something you're looking forward to, too? We now have a trailer for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series streaming on Disney+ starting on May 25. The biggest thing I took away from the trailer was the presences of Inquisitors, especially the Grand one. It's nice to see how they're bringing animated characters to live action. The Book of Boba Fett was so surprising and awesome that I'm sure this will be very similar. Haden Christensen is returning, I assume he's going to be in the Darth Vadar suit, perhaps it's just in flash backs.
Let me know what you think. Is this something you're looking forward to, too?
May 25 can't get here soon enough. :-)
Iâm taking bets for if folks think Snoke and his backstory will be featured here. My hope is that it is and if it isnât I think it will suffer.
It must cover Emperor clones.
I don't know if I forgot, but while watching the New Rockstars breakdown of the trailer, Erik Voss explained how Ahsoka got those white lightsabers. Yes, I realize she's not in the trailer, but it's relevant because she took the kyber crystals from the lightsabers of an Inquisitor and purged them of their dark side corruption. If you don't know who the Inquisitors are, go watch Rebels and play Jedi Fallen Order before you watch this show. My favorite one is in that game.
Also (this is just a funny thought), if The Book of Boba Fett was any indication, two episodes of this show will be about Boba (going back one show previous) and Obi-Wan won't hardly be seen. LOL
> if The Book of Boba Fett was any indication, two episodes of this show will be about Boba (going back one show previous) and Obi-Wan won't hardly be seen. LOL
Ha. I think the Book of Boba Fett showed that The Mandalorian is really popular and Boba Fett isnât as interesting or something? I mean, I liked the show, but Boba Fett show got better when Mando joined. Then the show sort of forgot it was a Boba Fett show and it became Mando season 2.5.
That said, Mando canât join Obi Wan UNLESS Obi Wan is heading out to save a Mandalorian foundling (YOUNG MANDO) and then Obi Wan is lone wolf and cub where the cub is⌠Dinn Jarin? I mean, sure Iâd watch that, but seems unlikely.
I keep telling Mando fans that they must watch Book of Boba Fett before season 3. I feel sorry for the people who are going to miss out on that connection, I think it's important.
Aw, so I just heard this takes place 5 years AFTER Jedi Fallen Order. So, we won't see my favorite Inquisitor (she's the last one we see). I probably only love her so much, because I think she's so hot. LOL
So, I had a thought that I think would be amazing. What if we saw Mace Windu? I believe I heard that Samuel L. Jackson would love to return. "Oh, but he died," you say? A rule of cinema I learned last year is that if you don't see a body, they're not definitely dead. However, Star Wars takes that a step further and says, "no one ever really dies." LOL Maybe Windu landed safely on a car. He was a very unique Jedi and I'd love to see him in live action again. I'd love for Star Wars to come out and show us he's not dead. There's a reason his lightsaber is purple and he studies a unique form, which I don't know of any other character that does. This form actually uses the dark side against their opponents. I think I heard most Jedi don't practice this form as it can lead one down the path of the dark side.
Let me know your thoughts! I'm always excited for a new Star Wars or Marvel Disney+ show, because they're always awesome (IMHO)!
I just read that Samuel L. Jackson's still talking about how he wants to return to Star Wars. This was days after I made that last comment. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/samuel-l-jackson-wants-to-return-to-star-wars/1100-6501603/
YES!!!!!!! I'm very satisfied with how this turned out! How about you?
Yep. I really enjoyed the show a lot. Fun way to bridge the prequels to the classic trilogy. Not perfect, but pretty darn good. To me, the best Star Wars show yet.
I agree that it wasn't perfect, but it was really great. "Best" is a hard one. Better than Bad Batch? Yes. As for Boba and Mandalorian, it's a bit tougher to say. I really loved all three. This show has Obi-Wan, Leia, Vader, Anakin, and others, so that kind of makes it more epic.
Do you think they'll do a season two? I'm not sure. I know the main actors want to. I'm aware of things that happened with Obi-Wan while he looked over Luke from a distance in other source material (maybe not all cannon). Seeing that in live action would be really cool. ("OBI-WAAAANNNN!!!!!")
Getting more Vader would be cool, too. I'm not as aware of what he's been doing during this time, so that could be cool to see more. I don't know that I need to see them crossing paths again, though.
My internet senses were tingling.
Glad to see CG Radio is back!

Ok, I'm ready for another one now!
