Warning! I'm including things regarding Shang-Chi in the next paragraph. The spoilers are very minor, but I thought I'd give you this warning, in case you haven't seen the movie (go see it!). If you just want to watch the spoiler-free trailer, click the next link.
The She-Hulk trailer looks really cool and she looks sexy! I don't really know anything about her. Mark Ruffalo returns as Hulk in both smart Hulk and Bruce forms. I'm confused because it seems his arm isn't damaged like it was in End Game and Shang-Chi's post-credits scene. Tim Roth returns as Abomination, though we don't see him in the trailer. He appeared in Shang-Chi though with a new look. You can check out that trailer here: https://youtu.be/PFpT5ZkuLlo
There's also a trailer for Moon Knight, which stars Oscar Isaac. I am looking forward to seeing him again. I first saw him in the latest Star Wars trilogy and then again in Dune. I really don't know anything about this character either. Apparently, Moon Knight suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. Ethan Hawke is in the show, too, though not shown in the trailer. (As an aside, if you haven't seen him in the movie titled "Tesla," go see it!!) Check out the trailer here: https://youtu.be/iFUZ1wN1ugM
There are new shows titled Secret Invasion, Armor Wars, Iron Heart, Ms. Marvel, Agatha House of Harkness, Groot, Echo, and maybe more I've missed in this list. There's an animated Spider-Man show, too. There's also going to be a Guardians of the Galaxy holiday special.
One thing I'm really excited for is X-Men '97, which is a continuation of the beloved X-Men cartoon we got in the 90's with returning cast members. I really loved that cartoon! Most of what I know about Marvel (before the movies) is from that cartoon. That's probably why the X-Men are my all time favorite super hero group and Wolverine is my favorite comic book character.
Marvel Zombies is another show coming, which is probably related to the What If episode regarding the same topic. This is one I think I'll watch, but definitely not looking forward to. In fact, I wish it'd get canceled as I *hate* zombies! They're over done and in pretty much everything. Sure, they're good fodder for things to kill, but they're disgusting. Can we please get something without zombies?!
Let me know what you think about this treasure trove Marvel is giving us a taste of. I'm absolutely obsessed with the MCU these days and everything Marvel has been giving us has been fantastic! Are you planning on watching any of these shows? What are you most looking forward to?
ZOMBIES!!!
Worst Marvel concept ever!
lol. I am down for it.
Did you see that episode of What If?
I loved that episode of What If honestly. Plus the comics were a good romp
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Zombies
Yeah, the what if episode was good, and the comics are fun.
There are some interesting things that stand out in the trailer. One of those is when he walks down an alley by a poster with the Toby McGuire Spider-Man. It has the word "murderer" spray painted on... Read All There's a new trailer for the Sony/Marvel movie Morbius, which we can see in January. Morbius is what I like to think of as Marvel's Batman, however he's physically like a bat. He's a doctor with a rare blood disease and it leads him to research into vampire bats to find a cure. He ends up doing something, which gives him a bat like appearance along with bat like abilities. He can switch forms, the bat in him wants to hunt. He gets wanted by police for a "vampire murder."
There are some interesting things that stand out in the trailer. One of those is when he walks down an alley by a poster with the Toby McGuire Spider-Man. It has the word "murderer" spray painted on it. Also Michael Keaton's character Vulture crosses paths with him in police custody. You may remember him in Spider-Man Homecoming. Speaking of Michael Keaton, he's returning as his original Batman in the new Flash movie. As a side note, Matt Smith appears in this movie, too. I really loved him as The Doctor, so I'm looking forward to seeing him again. He's also going to be in the new Game of Thrones prequel show.
There are many connections to the MCU/Marvel/Sony/Spider-verse. Morbius is tied to Spider-Man, so is Venom. Maybe with what's going on in No Way home, these worlds are coming together, which may explain the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The Daily Bugle paper is notable as it looks like it has in the other movies. It mentions a few things which are hints to Spider-Man villains. One headline says something about a "missing rhino" at a zoo. Another asks if black cats or friend or foe. We've already seen the Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. There are many hints going on in many of these movies that the Sinister Six members are appearing.
I'd like to see this, but I've always had hemophobia, so parts of this movie disturb me. It's all the blood stuff. I tried to re-watch the Blade series recently and couldn't make it very far into the beginning of the movie before I felt like I was about to pass out. This makes me hesitant to try to watch it again, to watch this movie, or watch the new Blade move when it comes out. Morbius and Blade do meet in the comics. He gives Blade the vampiric abilities without the disadvantages.
What do you think about this? Are you planning to go watch it? This is one where I'd definitely rather watch at home.
I still need to watch the Venom movies before I watch this.
You probably don't *have* to, but I liked them. Some how that Venom-verse is tied to Morbius and now the Spider-verse. The connections are confusing, I hope there's some cool explanation, like the multiverse.
Playing now. I plan to go see it tonight. If you do, let me know what you think. Google says there are two post-credits scenes.
I wasn't sure what this show would be about or like. New Rockstars has a great video pointing out things and explaining different pieces of the trailer (https://youtu.be/QMmCt7AEFns). It looks like this is going to be a cool Star Wars with the criminal underground like The Godfather. It takes when we last saw Boba when he killed Fortuna, who was sitting on the throne at Jabba's palace.

I really enjoyed The Mandalorian and am looking forward to more, for sure! I was glad to see Boba Fett and impressed with his character. I was also glad to see him working with Fennec Shand, who I've seen in The Clone Wars. I remember seeing the unfinished episode that was going to show Boba in a duel with Cad Bane and that's how he got the dent in his helmet. It'd be great if they could actually make this into the show. It's still a mystery how he escaped the sarlacc pit. Some joke or explanation would be cool.
It seems there's also an announcement for a animated Darth Maul series that takes place when we see him in Solo. Paul Bettany is apparently returning, too. Maul was in The Clone Wars and had a duel with Obi Wan. He was also in Star Wars Rebels, too.
What do you think about this? Are you looking forward to it, too? Did you see The Mandalorian? Did you like it, too? Let me know your thoughts.
I think I had grander visions of the book of boba in my head than this trailer suggests. It looks like more of the Mandalorian, which isn’t a bad thing. So, a little disappointed, but I will be there day 1.
Yeah. My guess is most "Mandalorian Shows" or shows that are spun out of The Mandalorian will look and feel a lot like this. I'm not saying any of them will be bad, I'm sure they will be great shows and I'll watch them all.
I love that Robert Rodriguez is attached to this. He’s kinda perfect for a desert western, and this just happens to have some sci-fi too.
I hope Robert Rodriguez knocks it out of the park. He has had some misses.
New Boba trailer dropped. I feel this one works better than the last one. Thoughts? https://youtu.be/Bi9GRafMz2E
Looks cool. I've seen other trailers for this, I'm surprised I didn't share them.
I didn’t watch it but I’ll see it. I’m interesting please like and subscribe.
Friendly reminder: The Book of Boba Fett premiers on Disney+ in about 2 1/2 hours (3AM EST/12AM PST 12/29/21).
(No spoilers!) If the show didn't open as it did it would have been a very strong disservice to fans. I think it's interesting how while I'm watching these Disney+ shows, they come to an unexpected end. They don't satisfy my episodic hunger for more, they give me a good chunk of a morsel, but still have me coming back for more. These Disney+ shows are among the best of 2021 and they make me look forward to what's coming up in 2022 and beyond. I'm very grateful!
Boba episode 1 was so good.
There are at least a couple of elements that could be brought over from The Bad Batch and I wonder if they will be. Maybe we'll see Muchi. There's a main character who could possibly appear, but I don't know if I want to see a live-action version of her, I didn't really like her much.
This is so good! That second episode started off with a tease. I was hoping to see Muchi! I'm really glad they made this great show fleshing out the character of Boba Fett. I never cared much about him before, but now I know he's freaking awesome! This episode was a bit more cultural, which is great, because it's giving another group of people some more attention. I think this show is showing us sides of Star Wars we've never seen before and that's just great! It was also a great "space western." I love it!
Oh crap I forgot that today was Boba day. Gotta catch up
2nd episode is so good.
I liked how long the second episode was. Really seemed like an event more than the very short Mando episodes.
Yeah this was some of the most interesting Star Wars content in a while. I never really thought about Tusken culture but I am so glad we saw it. It was fantastic.
Some deep cut cameos in this too, if you watched the A New Hope deleted scenes you’ll recognize the place with the speeders as the one and only Tosche Station where Luke wanted to go get some power converters. And the two humans in there were Luke’s friends.
Also the Wookiee bounty hunter we see is Black Krrsantan from the Vader and Aphra comics.
I agree regarding the Tuskens! I found out about the other details you mentioned via New Rockstars and those cameos are cool. What I really liked was Black Krrsantan. He looks so angry! I want to see more of him.
I bet we see a lot more of him!
Maybe even in Obi-Wan.
Ooooh good call
>Ooooh good call
Not really my idea. I had no idea who he was when he showed up, but watching New Rockstars on YouTube fills in the vast voids of my knowledge. It's awesome learning more about the characters and lore of Star Wars, especially when it comes from non-movie sources.
Whoa. Tosche Station, I don’t remember we’re there power converters there? It looked fairly small and not really a general store.
"Disney+ doesn't disappoint" is perhaps the best way to sum up how I feel about every episode of these shows I watch. I wasn't too into Bad Batch, but it was still good.
(Possibly mild spoilers)
My first reaction this episode was "damn." They gave us something awesome and took it away. I like seeing BK! My second thought is "don't look a gift rancor in the mouth." Something's suspicious and perhaps why an expected name wasn't dropped. Also, the "Witches of Dathomir" name drop was interesting. I'd like to see them in live-action.
There were a few significant cameos. I know Stephen Root from the movie Office Space. Danny Trejo is probably very well recognized. He's in so many movies and more! The first time I saw him was in the movie Desperado.
(No spoilers). I think we're going to get a cameo from a recent Star Wars character. You'll hear a very familiar tune at one point and then you'll hear it again at the end. I hope what I heard means what I think it does! Let me know what you think.
I didn't notice any tune. :) Any hints from which show or movie?
What was the last live-action Disney+ Star Wars show you saw? (A question that really doesn't need to be answered, because what other live-action Disney+ Star Wars shows are there? LOL).
Boba sees a big light in the night sky while the flute plays. It plays again after Fennec Shand says she knows where to find some people at the end. I'm still confused about the timeline between that show and this one. I thought I understood. It seemed easy and sequential, but I rewatched that other show and now it's more confusing. I think that confusion will get resolved next episode. I'm sure *he* is going to be there. If I was forced to bet, then I would bet on it.
> I didn't notice any tune. :) Any hints from which show or movie?
I heard that tune Greg, looking forward to the next episode it was a MAJOR HINT
I decided to rewatch the source of the tune. It was worth it.
I remember the big light.
I think that was when Mando left a certain character for dead and when Boba found that character, which was why I assumed they tossed in that musical cue.
BUT then it happened again very near the end credits! Kinda wondering if that was a way to make your brain associate both of them and notice the hint more. Kinda what I’m hoping!
(We’re way down in the comments and I think everyone is caught up so I didn’t spoil much but I decided saying what I was trying to say would be insane to attempt without spoilers, so I went for it lol)
Yeah, that is how I understood the big light too.
So, I wonder how that's going to help fight a war. They need an army. Maybe there are others connected. Except, now I just thought maybe they don't need an army. Take out the top and the rest will scatter.
There's a lot to unpack from this one. There are very many Easter eggs and at least one of them has me wondering about something. I'm hoping New Rockstars on YouTube can answer my question(s). I'm not sure how the next two episodes are going to play out. I have an idea, but it's still kind of confusing.
This episode is so full of Phantom Menace love. And an appearance of a new (to live action) droid model that I love!
Yeah! I really love how these Disney+ shows tie to other things (in their separate MCU/SW universes of course).
I got the answer to my Easter egg question, thanks to New Rockstars. I thought it was something else and that thought was perhaps pretty absurd.
I wonder what's going to happen next.
What's the title of this show again? "The Book of ???" I can't remember his name, haven't seen him. Maybe next time. LOL
Whoa! I was NOT expecting that cameo! You'll see what I mean closer to the end. I don't know why, but it has me really excited!
I wasn't expecting the other two cameos either. I love one of them and can't wait to see her more. As for the other one, they did a damn good job this time! I heard they hired someone who posted a YouTube video where the person fixed the issue w/ this character before. It's awesome!
Heh you were so vague, but I understood everything you said :D
That last cameo won't mean much to some but holy shit when I saw the distant silhouette I said "OMG is that who I think it is!?"
One thing I'll say about this episode, it's the single piece of Star Wars media I've ever seen/read/etc that makes the whole Star Wars universe feel the most connected. It was a bit pandering while also being one of the best 45 minute chunks of Star Wars ever.
Whatever happens in the finale next week, I can't wait for whatever the next series brings, whether that's more Mando or Ahsoka or whatever it is. The Favreau/Filoni teamup is giving us some great stuff.
LOL I tried to be vague to avoid spoilers. It's such an awesome episode! It's a must-see!
I'm hoping that cameo will make that deleted scene in Clone Wars cannon. It'll explain a certain feature on Boba's helmet. I hope you know the scene I'm referring to.
I'm not sure what's going to happen next episode, but I imagine a shoot out between a large number of Pykes and a smaller opposition.
I wonder which choice will be made. I think I can see it going both ways, but I'm still afraid of the path ahead due to the warning A.T. gave previously.
Don't forget Boba on a Rancor!
Too late, already forgot. That rancor was a bit suspicious, I thought something was going to happen there. The way this show has been going, I don't want it to end, even though Boba's been MIA. I'm probably looking forward to the other Star Wars shows even more now. I'm sure they're going to be awesome!
I was upset we didn’t get more about Snoke. I’m really hoping we get more of his backstory.
🤣 Snoke is Boba Fett confirmed
They should have called the series, Boba & Friends.
Yup! I think it's supposed to be The Mandalorian season 2.5. LOL
I enjoyed this show! There's a post credits scene. I have further thoughts and questions, but I'll keep it spoiler-free for now.
The last half was definitely better than the first half but I liked the whole thing. That was a great finale that tied it all together.
What a great ending. Robert Rodriguez and Jon Favreau knocked it out of the park.
Overall, I get the complaints. Is Star Wars ever what we dream it to be? No. But is it fun? Yes. I had a lot of fun with this series.
Can't wait for Old Ben Kenobi in May!
(Slightly vague spoilers!)
I have no complaints other than I wish CB didn't get killed, I would love to see him in live-action more. He was missing his toothpick. Otherwise, I loved it! I'm pretty much easy to please, so there isn't really anything of Star Wars I can think of that I didn't like. The major exclusion to this is the holiday special, I thought it was terrible. There are still some Star Wars things I have not seen, though.
As for the post-credits scene, I think they must have plans for CV if they made that scene. He got shot in the shoulder, so I don't even know why he needs a mod.
I'm wondering if G is going to go to the dark side. My guess is that D is going to the living waters cave to get his cult cred back.
I can't wait to see Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action! I'm sure that's what Ahsoka is doing, looking for him and Ezra. I believe Sabine has already been cast and I'm looking forward to seeing her, too.
> I have no complaints other than I wish CB didn't get killed,
Cough. Darth Maul....
Also, no one's really gone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNTLC_uiGFA
> I'm wondering if G is going to go to the dark side.
Doubtful. I don't mind but Boba Fett is now patting puppies on the head. I mean shit they couldn't even keep Rancors scary!
> I can't wait to see Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action! I'm sure that's what Ahsoka is doing, looking for him and Ezra. I believe Sabine has already been cast and I'm looking forward to seeing her, too.
My money is on a Snoke show. I'd call it "Snoke The Backstory Years"
Yeah, good points, Jon. A Snoke backstory could be interesting, too. Star Wars is huge and there's lots of potential for more show or movie content.
Just a quick FYI, Obi-Wan's release date is May 25.
As many times as Cad Bane has gotten out of trouble I wouldn’t be surprised if he somehow managed to survive that.

I've recently been in the process of moving and finally landed into my new apartment so I haven't had as much time to play Diablo II as I would have... Read All Happy Halloween everyone! I watched this recent Digitial Foundry breakdown of the recent Diablo II remake and all the various console versions and wanted to share it and kick off a broader public discussion on your thoughts about it. Seems like the general consensus is the game is a great version of the classic game, however, some miss the quality of life improvements present in more modern games such as Diablo III. It's an odd thing to think given folks were trashing Diablo III because it wasn't more like Diablo II.
I've recently been in the process of moving and finally landed into my new apartment so I haven't had as much time to play Diablo II as I would have otherwise, but so far I really love the work they've done with it. I'm curious if Blizzard will do more with Diablo II in terms of expansions or new content or if they will save all of that for Diablo IV? Also wondering how the reception of the Diablo II remaster might effect development of Diablo IV? Also... will we get Diablo IV with all the problems Blizzard is having right now?
I wish I had a "fond" experience with this game. I suspect I'm not doing the game play right. I have a neutral or slightly negative perspective of it. I've only been playing at 1080p and I've limited framerate to 60. I definitely prefer the remastered graphics. I have the D2 Battle Chest, but I could never get over the original graphics. This is probably because I was late to Diablo and started with D3. In comparison, the original graphics are terrible. I'm finding I'm picky about this although I have an "acceptable" range. I did play both Warcraft and Starcraft games when they were out and I really enjoyed them. If I was aware of the two Diablo I might have played them and would see how much it looked like those games so I'd probably be ok with it.
Thanks for sharing the video! I liked and subscribed!
❤️
I absolutely love what Vicarious Visions did with the game, and I imagine people who have continued playing it off and on are having a great time.
I’m kinda playing a few minutes here and there but mostly just get frustrated with it because the newer ARPG quality of life features have really gotten ingrained into me. Even if only the D3 style action bar was added I would have less trouble with it. Not being able to see a visual indicator of the skills you have equipped, plus the need to hit the number you’ve mapped to and then click, really bring down the experience more than I would have expected.
I haven’t given up on it but I had a couple other things I wanted to play more so I’ve put it on the back burner. Hopefully they get the servers in better shape in the meantime!

The Steam version isn't mentioned, but it is coming. Details I'm finding suggest that the Steam version of SE will receive the same treatment as mentioned in the last paragraph above this one. If you already own the Special Edition, SE's price will be discounted from the price of the AE. Keep in mind though, I'm finding sources that are saying AE will break mods. I've been looking for more info on the Steam version and I think I found a good source in the forums here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/4809273833190921323/
What do you think about this? Is this an upgrade you plan to get? I think I will although I feel like I've played Skyrim enough and I'm not really sure I'm very interested in the additional content.

I picked up Skyrim on PC and never completed it. I wonder if this will cause me to get it on XBox and beat it? Ehhh, I want to but I just got the Borderlands 3 Ultimate release and want to play that next!
So many games to play, love there are so many great options.
I just saw Borderlands 3 on sale for $15. It's tempting, but I'd want that Ultimate edition and haven't looked into it.
For me, I'm not feeling the "so many games to play..." but it's now they're starting to accumulate.
I preordered the ultimate edition when it came out. Thing is, historically I don’t play much DLC content… but you know why not it’s not that much more. 🤣
Did you get both season passes with it? I usually love DLC content, but sometimes I find it completely unnecessary and not worth paying for. Conan Exiles has multiple examples of this.
Speaking of the world of Borderlands, are you aware of Tiny Tina's Wonderland? Are you going to get it? Are you aware of the Borderlands movie starting Jamie Lee Curtis that's coming out eventually? Are you going to go see it?
(I don't care if this is off topic, this is my post so I get to choose to allow off topic discussion. LOL)
The new Borderlands 3 ultimate edition comes with all DLC including the cosmetic packs.
Not too interested in Tiny Tina’s. I still need to play that DLC for borderlands 2.
I’m absolutely not interested in a Borderlands film until I see a trailer I like. I have so low expectations for film movies I don’t really put them on my radar. Sadly.
Thanks for answering my questions. I played the prequel as the Jack clone and realized it was DLC. Tiny Tina's game sounds interesting. I also found out about the DLC you mentioned as well. I think Vinny has Borderlands 3.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean about "film movies." The phrase sounds like a repetition of essentially the same thing. What other kinds of movies are there? Did you mean you have low expectations for all movies or perhaps ones that adapt video games? I can understand the latter for sure.
When you said, "until I see a trailer" reminded me of how I was aware of the two pieces of video game news I most recently posted, but I didn't write anything about it until I had more details (like a release date) and hopefully a trailer. Unfortunately, I didn't find a trailer for the Skyrim Anniversary Edition, but the one I included is hilarious.
Sorry, I meant video game movies ❤️
I thought so. :) I understand the pessimism.
Here's some more info regarding the Anniversary Edition. It includes Creation Club content which includes 2 new quests, fishing, survival mode, some new gear, and other stuff. The article says owners of the Special Edition can buy the upgrade to the Anniversary Edition, but says a price hasn't been announced yet. I'm pretty sure the info I read before said it would be $60, but the price of the Special Edition would be deducted from that for those of us who own it. Steam currently lists the Special Edition at $40. I wouldn't mind paying $20 for the upgrade, even though my interest in Skyrim has pretty much dwindled. Steam still doesn't have any info about it yet, which comes as a surprise seeing as how 11/11/21 is 2 weeks away. I just hope they've fixed the bugs I ran into, they were really annoying. The funny thing at the end of the article includes a quote from Todd Howard regarding Skyrim, "[i]f you want us to stop releasing it, stop buying it."
This and the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition both come out on the same day and while 11/11/21 is numerically interesting, I thought it sounded familiar. 11/11 is Veteran's Day, so don't forget to thank a Veteran for their service, courage, and bravery, even if you're anti-war like me (I still greatly respect them for doing what I'd be to scared to do, plus my dad was in the Army, which allowed me to see much more of the world than others, hence my "world view").

Here's an update on Skyrim Anniversary Edition. It's $50, but you can upgrade your Special Edition for $20. I don't see the option on Steam yet, though. I think I might be interested in paying $20 to see what's new and different. I don't really know the details of the Steam version, except for new content. I don't know if it's getting graphical updates, which I believe the current gen consoles are getting. From my memory, the game looked good enough for me, I just want them to fix the nasty bugs I ran into. Check the source for more details.
What about you? Is this something you're interested in? Are you going to get it? If so, when? I might get it right away, but I wouldn't play it for a while. JWE2 arrives on 11/9 so I'm not even sure if I'll jump into the GTA trilogy when it arrives on the 11th. This version of Skyrim could be the third in this list, I'd get to it after GTA.

> What about you? Is this something you're interested in? Are you going to get it?
Yes, very interested. But I won't be getting it because I have a zillion games and only a handful I'm playing through right now. Will just gave me Celeste so I'm playing through that, Wolfenstein Youngblood and the occasional Fortnite match.
Cool. I tried Youngblood, but found it too difficult, so I stopped playing it. I may have spent an hour or so into it. I'm playing Ark's seasonal event now, but plan to switch to JWE2 on the 9th. I pre-ordered the GTA trilogy, but I might not play it until I'm done w/ JWE2, though I may drop in to take a look at it when it's out. I think I could see myself playing this version of Skyrim after that. I recently started replaying GTA4, but haven't finished. I got tired of gaming and took a break.
> Cool. I tried Youngblood, but found it too difficult, so I stopped playing it.
I did too. There are a couple things that kicked me in the teeth. I think I'll write about these in my review on Cheerful Ghost after I beat it. I think I'm half way through or something? Feels like I've played it a while now.
1. Always tend to your upgrades. The game isn't like a normal Wolf game, it has level up mechanics and stats you need to pump into. For instance always boost your max health and armor.
2. You also need to use silver to upgrade your weapons and I've found the best upgrade is power or hitting harder.
3. Select the missions AND ALWAYS go to the markers. In the levels there are sections you can go to where the bad guys are wildly more powerful than you are, don't go there you will die a lot.
Wow, that's impressive that you've made it so far! Are you playing alone? I think the multiplayer thing was a turn off for me. I've definitely enjoyed multiplayer games, but I very rarely play with others. Have you tried multiplayer? Do you think it'd be better or if it's fine on your own?
Thanks for the advice! I'm questioning whether or not I knew about stats and weapon upgrades. I think I remember the former, but not the latter.
I hope you do write about it. I'll look forward to reading it.
Ok, if you have SE on Steam, you can find AE under it's DLC for $20. An easy way to find it is to search for "Skyrim" in the store and you'll see AE in the search results. I didn't even have to complete typing "Skyrim" before it showed up first in the list.
Just completed it and posted my review. You don't need to play with a friend for the co-op part, they add a computer play there and it's fun to go through with a partner.
GTA 3 was a pivotal corner stone in the series that brought the series from bird's eye view into the 3D third-person perspective we've come to love since. I believe GTA 3 took the series to a whole new level and it's popularity has exploded since. I loved GTA 3 very much and I also very much loved Vice City. I'm quite sure I bought both games in their infancy. I even have what was released on the PSP, except... Read All I've known about this for a few months, but have waited for a release date and trailer to let you know about it. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is coming 11/11/21. It is a remaster of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas and it looks gorgeous!
I even have what was released on the PSP, except for GTA Chinatown Wars, which I've never played. I still have all three games on Steam. While I first played these games on my PS2, it was actually the original XBox versions that I loved more, because it allowed you to use your own music.
I don't mean to belittle San Andreas, it was great. I'm quite sure I bought it at launch. However, there is a mission called Supply Lines that I found to be extremely frustrating when I first played it. I'd rather not do it again, but I think this remaster warrants attempting it again. I did finally complete it, though. In recent years, I tried replaying the game on Steam and ran into another frustrating mission and I gave up. The mission itself is simple, you just use the hydraulics on a car and bounce around. Unfortunately the controller configuration didn't translate well to Steam and I was unable to figure out how to complete it. I think I did find a solution much later, but I haven't tried. It might work better now with my XBox One controller.
This compilation is $60 and is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. As for PC, I don't see it on Steam and the article I linked below says it will be available on the Rockstar Launcher. I think I might get it right away, even though I strongly prefer to have all my games on Steam. I've actually been bored with gaming lately and have taken a break. There's a game coming out next month that I've been eagerly awaiting and it looks like now I have this one to look forward to as well.
Let me know what you think about this. Are you a fan of the series? What are your thoughts on the games? What do you think about this remaster compilation? Will you get it and if so when do you think you might?

I've never played these games before but heard really good things about the series. I played the original Grand Theft Auto on DOS and I really enjoyed that. Thinking I might pick this up on sale at some point and give it a go.
Wow, the glow ups they did on these games look incredible. Three games too, it's a great value.
I played the first two GTA games, too. They were kind of enjoyable, but I didn't get into them like I did the later games. The later games gave a narrative and a direction of things to do. I didn't know what to do, but it was fun running around doing what I could do.
Yeah GTA3 was my first dip into the franchise and I’ve loved loved LOVED each entry since. The top-down ones are very different, and I never could quite get into them.
So, is this something you're also interested in, Travis?
Oh yeah, definitely.
Pre-ordered!
The Rockstar Games Launcher has been in "offline mode" for about (maybe more) 7 hours according to the timestamp of Rockstar's latest tweet. The tweet says it's "temporarily offline for maintenance." I'm not sure I can remember a more disappointing launch. However, I found a great video about 20 things you should know before playing. It's spoiler-free, but for those of us who've played the game it's a great friendly reminder of some great tips for each game. I'm not even sure I was aware of some of them. I strongly recommend watching it. I may have to re-watch it to remember the helpful tips. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/8-qbx5X9qeM
If you want to check up on the status see the support page. It currently has a big red note at the top displaying the "offline" status along with the different services and their status. You can check it out here: https://support.rockstargames.com/
I hate Twitter, but I've been checking to see if anything's changed (it hasn't), but if you want to check it out, you can do so here: https://twitter.com/RockstarSupport
I just found a really good "Before You Buy" video from gameranx (a channel I like). It's spoiler-free and shows game play on all platforms. Wow, the Switch version looks awful! While I haven't had the chance to play it yet (Rockstar services are still down), from what I heard in the video the most disappointing thing is the tracks that were removed. There's a link in the video's description which shows what's there and what's missing. I didn't recognize too many that were taken out, but there were at least a couple I was bummed out about. It seems GTA3 kept it's soundtrack, which is great, because I absolutely loved it. It has the Scarface soundtrack, but I didn't see Scarface until years later (and I really loved it, hearing the soundtrack that I was so used to in GTA3 was a huge bonus!). "Say hello to my little friend" and check out the video: https://youtu.be/k8xxxyppTRQ
Yeah this seems like a really bad launch. I’m glad I waited and I hope they get things fixed.
I saw they took it down to be purchased from the Rockstar Launcher because they left the hot coffee stuff in and an uncompiled main game file with dev comments and full scripts. Plus all the music that was removed was still there, just disabled via scripting. A
The game is still unavailable. Yes, someone found uncompiled code that contains dev commentary. They also figured out that the removed music was simply blocked via a script. Worst launch ever, in my experience. Good thing I have something else new to play.
Finally! Now PC gamers can finally install and play it.
Mods already! The rain is horrible in the game(s), but there's a mod that supposedly fixes that. I haven't tried it yet, but you can find it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/grandtheftautothetrilogy/mods/4?tab=description
There are some others mentioned in this article: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-gta-trilogy-is-being-fixed-by-modders/1100-6498063/
GameSpot has a video on the "6Things The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition NEEDS to Fix." You'll see the rain I mentioned as #1. Check it out: https://youtu.be/kHsEj52MePE
Damn this trilogy is looking bad (and even though I hate the word "literally" because people "literally" over use it, this could be taken literally). I found this review by GameSpot, which points out the good and bad of it and it's mostly bad if not horrible. They gave it a 4, which I assume is out of 10. All this stuff makes me want to play something else. Check it out: https://youtu.be/Ul55KpKO7b8
Due to the terrible launch of this GTA trilogy on PC, Rockstar is offering to give us a game for free. You can only pick between Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition, Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition, L.A. Noire,
Bully: Scholarship Edition, and Max Payne 3. Apparently, there's another choice, you can get "a Great White Shark card or 55 gold bars in Red Dead Online. The deadline for this offer is January 6, 2022, at 12 AM ET."
I'm having trouble deciding which to pick. It won't be GTA IV or V as I have them on Steam. I have L.A. Noire on PS3 and don't know if I really want to replay it. I'm also not really interested in the other two games. I know little about Bully and even less about Max Payne. Since I don't play RDO, that offer isn't very appealing to me either.
I care more about them fixing what's wrong w/ the trilogy than these free offers. I didn't run into many bugs, but one I ran into I was able to fix w/ a mod, but then that bug got patched so the mod is no longer necessary.
Also, make sure to check your notifications. I just noticed one I overlooked. They're also giving us a $10 discount on anything purchased in the store that's $15 or more. You have to buy the trilogy before 1/5/21 to get this.
What do you think about this? Did you get the trilogy? What are your thoughts? What game would you recommend getting or think you'll get?

I wasn't in a rush to get this so I never bought it. Thankfully. I've heard wonderful things about Bully though.

Read All Minecraft Live 2021 has wrapped up and as always Mojang has given us a lot to look forward to. I'm going to point out some key things, though I may miss some details. I recommend watching the embedded video, however it is about 25 minutes long and xisumavoid has a shorter video (almost 13 minutes), which actually covers more. You can see his video here: https://youtu.be/ZXMgC-HuvIk

Obviously, you can create one if you don't already have one. It's easy and you can get a free cape by doing so. Once the account is migrated, go to your profile on Minecraft.net and look near the bottom under the "skins" part. You'll find the cape there. When you open the Minecraft Java Edition launcher, it will ask you to log in as usual. However, it may not work, so click the "back" button and the "X" next to your account to remove it. Then it'll prompt you to choose a Mojang or Microsoft account to log in with. Select your Microsoft account and you're all done. If you need help, feel free to ask. All DLC for Minecraft Dungeons has been released and there are a couple new features. The game will introduce seasons, just like Diablo 3, which will provide weekly challenges. There will also be a new single player game mode, which is a tower that you progress through each floor. I don't have details on this at the moment, but if you're interested you might be able to find more about this.
Next year 1.19 will be available and it's called the "Wild Update." It introduces a new biome called the birch forest. It seems the swamp may be getting revised (I don't think it's a separate biome). It will now include mangrove trees, which adds a new type of wood, which can be used for crafting just like any other wood. Some of the roots are large and you can ride a boat underneath of them. Mangrove trees can be planted in water or dirt using the propagules that grow on it.
Frogs are also being introduced in this update. They don't appear just in the swamp though and they have color variants depending on the biome they're in. So, the tropical frogs are a different color than the snowy frogs. You can't have frogs without tadpoles and they're here, too. You can collect them with a bucket of water. So, what do frogs eat? Fireflies of course! Yes, fireflies are being introduced as well.
Version 1.18 is the "Caves & Cliffs Update Part 2" and it will expand the vertical borders of the worlds. So, worlds will be higher, allowing for taller mountains, and much lower replacing bedrock and allowing for deeper caves. It is going to be easy to keep your world from other updates and migrate them to 1.19. They're calling this feature "blending" and it will not destroy your worlds.
Taking advantage of the new depths of the world, a new biome is being added called the Deep Dark. It includes unpopulated cities, which look like ruins. However, this is a very dangerous and actually very scary biome. You really should watch one of the videos to see this for yourself. There are blocks called sculkers. There are different sculker blocks, but I won't get into them here. They react when they detect motion and if they're activated enough, a new terrifying creature will spawn called the Warden. It is blind, but can chase after the player if they detect motion. You can usually avoid motion detection by crouching. One way to avoid the Warden is to throw something like a snowball in another direction. This will divert it's attention away from the player.
Early on 1.17 was going to introduce bundles. You can place up to 64 items in them and thus carry many more items making inventory management much better. Archaeology was also introduced, but both of these new features will not be in 1.19, but will come some time in the future. However, we do get a very cool new feature, chests on boats. This is going to be very helpful in transporting multiple items and they will also work with redstone.
Another cool feature is the introduction of the mud block. You make one by using a bottle of water on dirt. You can then put it on top of a drip stone block (introduced in 1.17), which will drain the water from the mud block turning it into a clay block. This will most certainly be helpful as clay is sometimes hard to find and easy to overlook. Mudblocks can also be made into mud bricks, which look smaller than regular bricks.
Voting for a new mob has been going on during Minecraft Live. The Glow Squid is a new mob in 1.17, which won the most votes last time. This time the Allay won. It is a flying creature that can retrieve items. You give it an item and it will look for more of the same item. It cannot harvest, mine, or break blocks though. I'm not completely sure how useful this is, though. It will return the items it finds to the player or on a note block. You might find some info here: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/minecraft-upcoming-allay-mob-will-help-you-collect-items-following-fan-vote/1100-6497172/
Let me know what you think about all this. Have you played 1.17? If so, how do you like it? What do you think about it? 1.18 will be available in December, are you looking forward to it?
My son and I watched this. He is very excited. He loves 1.17 and can't wait for 1.18.
This stream got him interested in making his own textures, so he has started making his own texture pack.
Oh well now that's very impressive! I haven't messed with resource or texture packs, except I did find a resource pack that removes the vignette effect.
I mentioned this in the post, but I wanted to make sure to bring these things to your attention.
Don't forget to migrate your Minecraft accounts to Microsoft accounts. If you need help feel free to ask (it can be more complicated than it should). Otherwise check out this link: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4403183382541-How-to-Migrate-Your-Mojang-Account-to-a-Microsoft-Account-No-Images-#h_01F8B6E4ZBPXQY72Q0T3NWCVAX
I just edited this post adding the link. Once you accomplish this and get logged into the site, you can go to the "skins" part of your profile, scroll to the bottom, and select your new Migrators Cape. This only applies to Java Edition. I also noted in this post that xisumavoid mentioned Minecraft on the PC XBox Game Pass which will give Java players access to the Bedrock Edition (Windows 10 & console) and vice versa. Also note that the Bedrock Edition is cross-platform, so no matter if your playing on PC or a console, you can still play with your friends on a different platform.
Migrated.
Glad to hear it, Jon! Enjoy your new cape!

No rating? I sometimes find it difficult to give games a rating.
You didn't mention the co-op part, which I think is a very big mechanic in the game. I know you don't have to play w/ another person (as per our conversation in another post), I was just asking if you thought it would be better. Perhaps the question I really mean is, how is the AI co-op? Does it also switch weapons depending on an enemy's weakness?
You said you hit a wall. I'm guessing I hit that wall much earlier in the game than you did. I barely played it and didn't enjoy the difficulty and just gave up.
Since you mentioned the Switch, I kind of feel sorry for the Switch. It does seem to be popular, and really it's the only current gen console I care about, but it seems incredibly weak. It seems to be getting the same games as the current gen, but they appear to be much worse, or at least very graphically unappealing due to the hardware. This makes sense for how the Switch operates, but I find it quite disappointing. Maybe some people care more about the ability to travel and play these games and that's more important than graphical quality and performance.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this!
> No rating? I sometimes find it difficult to give games a rating.
Ooops, totally forgot. It's pretty rad.
> You didn't mention the co-op part, which I think is a very big mechanic in the game. AI co-op is a lot of fun. You have three lives that you share with your co-op partner so if one of you goes down you have some time to revive them without losing a life. That mechanic basically meant we didn't lose very many shared lives. Also, there is a cool mechanic where you can toss a death metal hand gesture in the air and send you and your partner more armor every 30 seconds or so which is very helpful.
That said, I didn't feel like I was babysitting my AI partner and she helped out quite a bit.
> You said you hit a wall. I'm guessing I hit that wall much earlier in the game than you did. I barely played it and didn't enjoy the difficulty and just gave up.
I hit it pretty early on, I just kept going with it. But it's really different than any other Wolf game and I just started the original Dishonoroed and you can tell Arkane made Youngblood because it feels a lot like Dishonored.
> but it seems incredibly weak.
Compared to your PC most of my computers are weak. 🤣
> Maybe some people care more about the ability to travel and play these games and that's more important than graphical quality and performance.
The mobile aspect of the Switch is a big draw to it for sure. That said, I've been playing nearly 100% XBox Series X lately but Celeste pulls me back to the Switch when my son wants me to play it which is generally whenever he is staying with me.

Cool! Thanks for sharing that tidbit. I think that's an important thing to know about, since co-op is a main feature of the game.
>I hit it pretty early on, I just kept going with it. But it's really different than any other Wolf game and I just started the original Dishonoroed and you can tell Arkane made Youngblood because it feels a lot like Dishonored.
I think I hit that wall right away. Seeing that you hit it early on, too, makes me feel not so bad. Sometimes games *really* piss me off. I give up very easily, too. I've been trying to think that if a game really pisses me off that much then to give it up, it's not worth it. I can't say I've been good at following that, though. Part of Mad Max really pissed me off, but I stuck w/ it and eventually finished it, but it was brutal.
>Compared to your PC most of my computers are weak. 🤣
Yeah, but Travis has me jealous of his hardware now. LOL I very much want like a 3090 Ti (for some reason when it comes to PC hardware I pretty much won't settle for less than the best), but it'd take me a while to save up to afford one. I'm already hoping to save money to buy a monitor that's about as expensive, though I may end up settling for one that's about half the price. This is the same 1920x1200 60hz Dell monitor I got w/ the Alienware. It's still fine for me, but I want to experience new tech, which I'm sure it's going to drive me to want a new GPU, since it'll probably make mine look much weaker. (As an aside, my GPU currently costs double what I paid for it a couple years ago.)
>The mobile aspect of the Switch is a big draw to it for sure. That said, I've been playing nearly 100% XBox Series X lately but Celeste pulls me back to the Switch when my son wants me to play it which is generally whenever he is staying with me.
Yeah, some games on the Switch seem quite logical to me. Terraria is another great example of a game I think that's perfect for the Switch. But something like the new GTA remastered trilogy just doesn't make any sense to me. Ark is on it, too, which blows my mind (and I've heard it's the worst version of them all).
Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts on Youngblood, I appreciate it!
> Yeah, some games on the Switch seem quite logical to me. Terraria is another great example of a game I think that's perfect for the Switch
Due to its controls I haven’t found Terraria to be fun on any other platform than one with a keyboard and mouse.
I barely played Terraria on the Wii U, but I agree with you.
