Yup.
Totally cool too.
Good episode chaps! Seems like it was recorded before Sony & Marvel braking up and D23 and there was a lot of material left out around D+ and Spider-Man.
As for MCU Fatigue, it started for me around Civil War. I still enjoyed the movies but they were becoming a little too formulaic. After Spider-Man: Homecoming (which has to be one of my favorite MCU movies) the fatigue went away. I have been really looking forward to the movies since.
I am even excited for Black Widow. The prequel aspect has me a little worried, but Marvel has handled their properties well (even the bad movies are still watchable) that I am not too worried.
Yeah we didnât know Spider-Man was out then and the future looked bright.... But now... Iâm honestly curious how they will handle Spider-Man post MCU. All the Villians seem like they still be valid and Spider-Man might be on his own now which the end of the movie set up fairly well.
I wonder if heâll refer to Tony in the new films or just someone he lost? Also curious how theyâll talk about the blip?
Will they make him give the glasses back?
A bigger question is that since Spider-Man is out of the MCU does it make the new movies must see anymore?
I think the next one is still must-see. Tom Holland is my favorite live action Spidey so far, and I want to see him do more. Even if the plot doesnât intersect with the MCU.
I am a hold out until the trailer hits. Maybe they will patch things up by the time the movie gets made.
Also it's interesting you mentioned Civil War as the first sign of fatigue for you, and I think that was my first as well. It's also where I started getting tired of rewatching it earlier this year. But they definitely brought me back in. Homecoming was at that time my favorite Spider-Man movie ever but it still hit me with some fatigue from the baggage that came along with it from Civil War. But then Thor: Ragnarok brought me back in full swing.
I'm really glad they're taking almost a full year off from the films at least.
I think the break should help.
Wow, this is hard. I am trying not to get overhyped but the more we see of the FFVII remake, the harder that gets.
In this trailer, we get a glimpse of a few of the mini games, and more battle footage. But mostly, itâs just showing off how pretty everything is. And boy is it ever.
Graphics arenât everything, you have to have gameplay to keep it interesting. We havenât seen a lot of that. But even if the gameplay isnât fun, this might like one of those movies thatâs just pure schlock but worth buying because of the visuals.
This has been a day-one buy for me ever since the rumors started circulating like the year the PS3 came out. Before I... Read All I mean just look at it.

This has been a day-one buy for me ever since the rumors started circulating like the year the PS3 came out. Before I bought a PS3, I said I would buy a PS3 for this game. I drooled over that tech demo Square did for a Sony presentation and hoped every year that weâd get more info.
It took a while, but shockingly we are only six months away. The hype is real, no matter how hard I try to suppress it.
That looks awesome! I don't think I'm going to buy a PS4 though, so I hope it comes to PC. I look forward to reading your review of it.
I would buy a PS4 for this probably but honestly I would have done the same for a lot of PS4 exclusives. Itâs an amazing console with so many bucket list titles.
I'm not familiar with very many titles I'm interested, although I'm about to contradict that a bit. I think I'd like to try this one, although I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. There's also the new Kingdom Hearts game and remasters of all the others. I know it seems Spider-Man is good, too. Red Dead Redemption 2 is something I might enjoy as well. I don't know, for some reason I've been focusing so much on PC gaming that I've pretty much almost totally ignored console gaming. Plus, I've already started seeing news of the PS5, so it kind of feels like you have to buy a new console every few years. Although, that could probably be said about a GPU when it comes to PC gaming and they can be as expensive or more depending on what you want.
Oh and I must admit I really love Aerith here, she is absolutely gorgeous! I've always loved her and Tifa.
The opening gives me chills! Aerith is so beautiful! I hope this comes to PC. https://youtu.be/cqskSeNORoE
Gaming Bolt gives the game a perfect 10! https://youtu.be/U6ilUU_qROY
I'll give it a 10/10 simply for being released. Figured this would be like Duke Nukem forever.
I played the demo (I'm sure ya'll did too), and man, its Good ... I don't love the new combat system, but the "Classic" mode is perfect.
I don't have a PS4, so I'm hoping it comes to PC.
I actually skipped the demo on this entirely. I am aware that it's not the safe play to make, but I gambled on it possibly sucking really badly so that I can go in fully fresh when it arrives.

Frankly it wasn't obvious to me how to make the Rogue different so at launch the Rogue and Warrior... Read All This Thursday we are going to be releasing the 0.9.7 Tale of the White Wyvern game update and we wanted to talk about it before it hit because it's special. As we've been working on the game we've changed elements that effected gameplay but on Thursday we are going to make a big change to the game that will effect Rogues and we wanted to give everyone some lead time as it might change how you play.
The Rogue Update
When Tale of the White Wyvern launched I felt like the Mage and Warrior were classes we got right but Rogue always seemed too similar to the Warrior class. Frankly it wasn't obvious to me how to make the Rogue different so at launch the Rogue and Warrior ability were basically the same in that both abilities were a 3x attack. Warriors had a random chance to gain strength in Forkwood Forest and Rogues gained defense and this difference set them apart but the similar skill attack kept them way too close.
When the 0.9.7 update drops the Rogue (S)neak Attack will change to (D)isappear. Disappear is fun new mechanic where the Rogue will use its powers of stealth to be entirely invisible and immune to attack for four turns. So if you are in a particularly hard Forest Fight or Wyvern fight you can disappear taking up the first turn and you will stop taking damage for the following three turns. So, practically speaking, you can deal damage without any retribution for three turns.
The reason why we are letting players know of this change in advance is if you are nearing a Wyvern kill, knowing this in advance may sway your choice one way or another. After testing disappear it really changes the feel of the Rogue class and makes it quite different from the Warrior finally fixing something we didn't get quite right at launch.
We are also adding instructions when the patch drops to further clarify each class in terms of how skills are gained and what they do. There is some confusion from people in terms of classes they haven't played and what to pick and this should help clear that up.
Buckner's Haberdashery (The Hat Update)
When Thursday rolls around everyone will be able to visit the all new shop in the Town Square, Buckner's Haberdashery. Bucker is one of the newest citizens of Wyrmdoor hailing from the Dwarf forge in the Tristan Mountains. Not much is known about Buckner but his warm smile and cozy shop are a welcomed addition to the Town Square.
Hats are special items in Tale of the White Wyvern as they can grant strength and defense bonuses but also increased forest gold find and experience gain. If weapons and armor are the bread and butter of a strong adventurer, hats are the mashed potatoes and as such should be considered after you have solidly upgraded your main weapon and armor set. It's also worth considering that not all hats are a good deal and some might only be useful very late in the game or not at all depending on how you want to play.
To add some mystery to PvP we intentionally designed the game such that you can't see someones weapons or armor unless we randomly leak it out in the Daily News or you Spy on someone in the Tavern. Hats are different in that you will be able to see what someone is wearing on their profile page.
As with weapons and armor Bucker will have a Member only showroom where Cheerful Ghost members can buy alternate hats that have the same power but offer an alternate fun cosmetic set to wear. We've synced up the normal hat and member only hat set to fit in nicely with the corresponding weapons and armor such that if you want to match up each set of gear at every step, you can. For instance if you have Wool Tunic the Wool Hat thematically matches making for a fun ability to pair up equivalent items.
Since hats are an extra thing and not strictly required to kill the Wyvern we will list out the cost of each hat at the Haberdashery AND ALSO note the strength, defense, gold and experience benefits of each.
Bucker's hats:
- Wool Cap
- Feather Hat
- Leather Headpiece
- Iron Helmet
- Golden Yellow Hat
- Grey Fedora
- Bronze Helmet
- Dodson's Headgear
- Black Fedora
- Golden Monocle
- Silver Helmet
- Astral Rock Helm
- Crown of Fangs
- The Crimson Stetson
- Death's Helmet
Buckner's member only showroom selection:
- Green Feathered Cap
- Shiny Metal Helmet
- Green Plumber's Cap
- Silver Crown
- Blast Helmet
- Blue Feathered Hat
- Rabbit Mask
- Sorting Hat
- Newman's Headpiece
- Samus's Helmet
- Red Plumber's Cap
- Tiger Mask
- Blue Bandana
- Kokiri's Green Hat
- X-Wing Helmet
This is cool, but it seems like (D)isappear is going to make the rogue OP. The skill seems perfect for a wyvern fight. I'm sure if I had this before when I fought the wyvern both times, I wouldn't have died at all. I've tried all the classes so far and am currently a mage for the first time. I noticed the mage has more than one magic skill. This new rogue skill will probably get me to try out the new rogue once I beat the wyvern again and get to change class again.
The hats are a cool addition. I may have suggested splitting armor up into different pieces, giving us more use for our gold. I know the last time I killed the wyvern, I had plenty of gold in the bank, which unfortunately went unused and thus lost.
Thanks for the update!
> The skill seems perfect for a wyvern fight. I'm sure if I had this before when I fought the wyvern both times, I wouldn't have died at all.
Think about it this way-- warrior primal scream can give you a 3x attack, OR the Disappear ability gives you (functionally) a 5x attack, but the Rogue attack strength will generally be lower.
Mage still has White, which can nearly one-hit the wyvern if you've planned well.
> Think about it this way-- warrior primal scream can give you a 3x attack, OR the Disappear ability gives you (functionally) a 5x attack, but the Rogue attack strength will generally be lower.
It's actually a 4x attack because the first one just sets up the skill and burns the turn. Frankly I love this kind of game tedium
Yep, that was a typo :D
> I know the last time I killed the wyvern, I had plenty of gold in the bank, which unfortunately went unused and thus lost.
We have plans for that gold in other things we plan to add to the game but won't be coming right away. Longer term we will add some fun stuff to grind a lot of gold for.

>Mage still has White, which can nearly one-hit the wyvern if you've planned well.
Since you put it that way, it doesn't sound as OP. I also haven't discovered White yet. Thanks for the clarifications!
>We have plans for that gold in other things we plan to add to the game but won't be coming right away. Longer term we will add some fun stuff to grind a lot of gold for.
Cool. I was disappointed to lose my bank account balance, but I also understood how OP you could be if you had money saved to buy better equipment sooner.
Haha, oh man, I want to start the game with 50 million gold now. đ
I found Mage's skill pretty much useless up until the Wyvern. The number of times you can use a spell vs the number of fights you have seems a little unbalanced.
> The number of times you can use a spell vs the number of fights you have seems a little unbalanced.
I don't quite understand what you mean, sorry.
The Mage's still is my favorite. I shoot magic missiles for my first fights, so I generally don't take damage, then don't have to heal myself and keep the extra gold!
I'm looking forward to the Rogue update to see how it works out. And can't wait for HATS
>> The number of times you can use a spell vs the number of fights you have seems a little unbalanced.
>I don't quite understand what you mean, sorry.
Meaning I am forced to use my weapon the majority of the fights. It doesn't feel very balanced to use your spells. A mage should use their spells first and foremost while a weapon should be secondary. I feel like magic is secondary. Maybe I have the wrong expectations here based on other RPGs.
> A mage should use their spells first and foremost while a weapon should be secondary.
I totally agree with you here.
> I feel like magic is secondary. Maybe I have the wrong expectations here based on other RPGs.
Expectations are fine, I appreciate you mentioning it.
Two things come to mind when I think about Tale of the White Wyvern and classes and it's simplicity and game balance. No one class should feel markedly overpowered but they all should feel powerful. Frankly I think Mage is the most powerful class in the game right now, and we might fix that but I loathe nerfs.
For such a simple game, you can take many paths in Tale of the White Wyvern on how you play the game. Much of this is how you'd play an RPG like Diablo in that you pick your class and then as you level you can't pick a different path, it's fairly permanent. We allow dual classing too and depending on when you dual class you could have dramatically less skill points that someone else by the time you fight the Wyvern. When you balance a fight like the Wyvern you want it to feel hard but also accessable so a reasonable player that made good choices would kill it. We're not the kind of game where I want to dramatically penalize someone for making the wrong choices. I'd rather create a game where people can make choices and see how it lands and you might have a less fun time with some of your choices but it's not too far to the Wyvern to reset and start over and make better choices.
So to keep the game balanced at the core if you take Mage, Rogue and Warrior skills off the table we have everyone level up and gain the same amount of stats and have all weapons, armor and hats(to come on Thursday) be the same. This makes the game a bit vanilla but means that what choices we do allow you effect how easy or hard it is to kill monsters in the forest, PvP or the Wyvern.
Since I don't want one class to be the best class at killing the Wyvern I limit skills so it's easier to balance the game. Kind of like in Diablo III where all your Magic power is derived from your weapon.
Also. It might be worth considering that we change the class name to something that's more like a fighter with magical abilities. That would being it more in line with what the class is, which is kind of a hybrid.
I want to build what you are talking about Will, i'm just wondering if we do how that might effect the simplicity of the game? It would be fun to work on for sure.
> Frankly I think Mage is the most powerful class in the game right now, and we might fix that but I loathe nerfs.
I must have played Mage horribly then, as so far I found it to be the weakest. :P
> Also. It might be worth considering that we change the class name to something that's more like a fighter with magical abilities. That would being it more in line with what the class is, which is kind of a hybrid.
I like this. Going into it, I expected to find a traditional Mage and was disappointed when I found a class similar to the Warrior with some magic sprinkled in. The class felt more like how I would play a Paladin than a Mage.
> I must have played Mage horribly then, as so far I found it to be the weakest. :P
White is a 10x attack. Mage has the worst random skill gain (+3 hp) but with white, wowee, get ready for the hurt Wyvern!
> I like this. Going into it, I expected to find a traditional Mage and was disappointed when I found a class similar to the Warrior with some magic sprinkled in. The class felt more like how I would play a Paladin than a Mage.
Cool. Travis and I will think more about this and see what we can cook up.
> White is a 10x attack. Mage has the worst random skill gain (+3 hp) but with white, wowee, get ready for the hurt Wyvern!
I did use White to knock Wyvern out.
What's the matter, you didn't want to name the hat store after your most heroic of players, Rather Dashing? Rather Dashing's Haberdashery has a nice ring to it, does it not? ;-)
It really does. đ¤Ł
Just pushed the update out a bit early (enjoy)!
One other change we made was balance the Mage's White attack from a 10x -> 7x.
It was entirely too overpowered and now it feels good but not insane.
Damn, why'd you have to "balance" the Mage before I kill the wyvern w/ it. ;( I'll try the Rogue after I beat the wyvern w/ my Mage.
If itâs any consolation Iâm a Mage about to take on the Wyvern. This is one of the reasons why I loathe nerfs. There is never a good time.
If it makes you feel better, White is still massively powerful!
I love the hats and the new Rogue ability. Thanks guys!
I love Will Ball for loving the hats and the new Rogue ability.
The hats give me something more to spend my gold on, yet also distract me from trying to save up for that 4 million gold armor and weapon LOL. I did like how different hats have different stats or stat boosts and I got one I liked and haven't died in the forest since. I also enjoy the names you've given to armor, weapons, and hats. You guys have some funny names! There's a Newman's set of armor and a weapon I always buy.
Oh and although lots of FPS doesn't seem to make a difference for me, I'm wondering how much FPS I'll lose in playing at a higher resolution. I probably still won't notice, except for a counter to just see. I imagine the higher resolution for gaming will probably or possibly be noticeable.
Did GregoPeck get the CGA graphics patch? :P
Hahaha prob commented in the wrong post.
Wait for the webGL patch, where we render that text using your graphics card!
Wait, do you guys have color monitors?
I downloaded the secret high resolution text pack. LOL Kidding...yeah I commented on the wrong post.
You can play Wyvern in 4K and if your monitor is 120hz it will take advantage of that as well.
đ¤Ł
I just confirmed, you cannot one-shot the wyvern with White. I'm not sure how many times I hit it with White, maybe twice. Luckily, I was able to Teleport instead of letting it kill me.
You may have been able to one shot the wyvern the first time through. Youâre at 3 kills right? It gets harder each time. But Iâm not sure you can one shot it on the first time through with reasonable weapons by that level
Ok, I bought the 10 million gold hat and it made all the difference. I just killed the wyvern (yes, for my third time).

Monsters: There are many monsters in the game. Most monsters are pretty unique, but there are some that are pretty much another variation of another monster. Each has a distinctive look, behavior, elemental and status strengths and weaknesses, and item drops. Before you go on a hunt, youâll want to prepare. As you progress in the game, youâll run into tougher monsters. So, youâll need to equip some gear like weapons, armor, and charms. You can also add decorations to your weapon and armor, if they have slots for them.
There are 14 types of weapons. They range from close range like swords to long range like a bow. Each has unique advantages and disadvantages. Some allow the player to be more mobile, while others are slow, but very powerful.
Armor is divided up into 5 pieces; head, chest, arms, waist, and legs. Each piece may have one or more abilities. Usually, equipping a full set, some times even less (like 3 pieces) will give you an overall ability that each piece contributes to, increasing that ability. There are very many abilities, like Attack, Defense, and much more.
Canteen: Preparing for a hunt also includes visiting the canteen where you can purchase meals using a variety of in game currencies or points. You can also âoven roastâ ingredients and get useful items. One good tip is to put raw meat in the oven to roast. When you come back to the canteen after a quest, the raw meat will have turned into rations, which are very useful in increasing your maximum amount of stamina. Having a meal before a hunt can grant you extra health, defense, stamina, or other bonuses. This can be quite essential for some really tough monsters. These bonuses are only temporary, though and are no longer applicable once a quest is complete (or failed). You can eat multiple times in a quest, though. The canteen can offer a wide variety of bonuses, especially when you have collected all of the available ingredients.
There is a multiplayer aspect of this game, in fact itâs pretty much an online multiplayer game. You can of course play alone, but youâre still online. Although, if you donât have an Internet connection, you can still play in offline mode. When you start the game and after youâve chosen your saved data, you can then select which type of online mode you want to be in. You can select options such as what kind of players (like âbeginnersâ) and who can join your game (like friends only). When selecting a quest, you can choose to âpost a questâ or âjoin a quest.â If you âpost a quest,â you can choose how many players (1-4) can join you. While out on a quest, if you get overwhelmed you can fire an SOS flare. This will open your game up and make it available for others to come help you.
There is a story mode to the game and in the beginning, the game holds your hand for a little bit, telling you how to move and how to do different things. There are small tutorials littered throughout the game, which you can view later. Some of these include videos showing you how to do something. However, the game doesnât hold your hand very long nor does it tell you everything you might need or want to know. There is much depth to this game and you may want to look online for help about a particular topic, boss fight, or general recommendations. Iâve found two great YouTube channels for this game such as TheGameconomist (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnuZHEmJqsxV4DJtPheYp2g) and Arekkz Gaming (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-zjH-e5XBzMpy_VtwIGRxQ).
Along with story mode âassignedâ quests you can also do optional, investigations, and events. Investigations are interesting, in a way, because they are limited. You can only attempt them a certain amount of times, but there are very many of them. Iâm not sure that they actually help advance your Hunter Rank, but they do give other resources like money, items, and research points. Investigations are very plentiful and can include a variety of things such as hunting a certain monster, capturing a certain monster, collecting certain items like flora, and a lot more. Some events are available only during a limited time and require a certain hunter rank.
Collaborations:There are also tie ins to other games. For one, thereâs a quest related to The Witcher, who appears in the game. There are some items you can get from some of these quests. For instance, to get the Mega Man costume for your Palico, youâll need to accomplish a certain limited-time event quest.
Research points can spent in the canteen and other places. You get them by completing quests or interacting with monster tracks. Monster tracks allow you to gather more information about a monster and ultimately making it much easier for your Scoutflies to track. Scoutflies are a group of little insects that help lead you to where you want to go. If youâre tracking a monster, you can tell them to do so on the map and theyâll lead you to it while pointing out, along the way, monster tracks and other items you can collect. You can also use your capture net or fishing rod to collect small fauna like insects or go fishing.
There are a variety of items you can find during your hunt, that your Scoutfiles will point out to you. This includes flora, which can be used to craft items such as potions, traps, ammo, and other things. Items stored in your pouch will stay with you, while items in your equipment chest can be accessed in town or camps. During a quest, you can access a chest that will provide you with some useful items, usually potions. Although if youâre doing a capture quest, the box will supply you with what you need such as traps and tranquilizers.
The game has some different little other additions. For one, you are partnered with a cat, which is called a Palico. It can use gear as well including weapons, armor, and another piece of gear that has a variety of functionalities. This item can help you with healing, defense, and other items like traps, which are definitely very helpful on hunts. As these abilities are used, they level up and increase their efficiency, to a max of level 10. Palicos make it so that youâre not alone when youâre hunting. They will fight monsters, too, and can even befriend some monsters, who will join you on your hunt. They can even befriend local tribes of Palicos that will come along with you during your quest. These Palicos can teach your Palico new abilities and give them access to certain items and also allow them to befriend a small monster, which will be a temporary team member.
Thereâs also a pig in town called a Poogie. Youâll want to increase itâs friendship with you by petting it. While petting, youâll notice an exclamation mark (!) and thatâs when you need to press a button to stop, otherwise it will just knock you over. Once you successfully pet it once, you wonât be able to increase itâs friendship until after your next quest. Once itâs friendly toward you, you can pick it up and carry it around town. It will then hop in your arms, telling you that thereâs an item near by that it can dig up. If youâre using a controller with vibration feature, this will trigger when Poogie has spotted one of these areas. It can find different costumes for it, if you put it down in specific places. Sometimes it can also find a Lucky Voucher if you put it down by the Handler. These can be used in the canteen.
There are a few areas in the game. Iâm not sure if Iâve discovered them all, although I think I may have. This is slightly disappointing, because Iâm enjoying the game and want much more of it. Luckily, thereâs plenty to do and a new DLC.
That new DLC is called Iceborne. It takes place in what looks like a tundra area, but it apparently has multiple mini areas like springs and others. Iceborne is already available for the PS4 and Xbox One. However, it will arrive on PC in January and it is definitely a DLC I intend to get at launch, as Iâm really loving this game. It contains new weapons, monsters, areas, and new items. One feature allows you to ride Tailraiders, which you canât control, but theyâll take you where you want to go.
Controller and keyboard and mouse support: I am playing this game with an Xbox 360 controller connected to my PC, but you can also use other controllers. You can also use the keyboard and mouse and itâs incredibly easy to switch between the two. While using the controller, if you hit a key on your keyboard, the game will display keyboard and mouse controls automatically. If you then hit a button on your controller, it will switch to controller controls automatically. I think this is quite impressive.
I think this is a fantastic game, I only wish there was much more of it on the PC, although the series itself has spanned various consoles and handhelds. I really do recommend this game. So far, it has been cheaper on consoles than PC, but you could wait for a good deal. When Iceborne releases for the PC, there will be a version of it that includes the base game, so you might want to wait until then. If you get the game feel free to let me know if you run into anything you need help understanding (you will), I can either explain it or point you towards some great videos. If you need some help on a quest or want to try out multiplayer, let me know, I haven't tried it yet, but I've run into quests that were designed specifically for multiplayer, so I can't complete them on my own.

We gave you some options here because these shirts are a bit pricey and we wanted to provide some options. The only shirt Zazzle had available with the right color to match our Tale Purple (we're trying to get Crayola to make that an official color) was the American Apparel shirt, which makes the price jump significantly.
We know these on-demand clothing shops are all a little pricey, so we are taking the lowest possible percentage. We'll make around $1.50 per shirt, so if 8 or 10 of our active users want to buy around.... oh, twenty thousand of these shirts, we can quit our jobs and do this full time!

Seriously, happy we finally have this so I can rep the game I made. I know it's a bit self aggrandizing but I never thought it be able to buy a shirt for a game I made. Maybe you might like it too? It's possible, that said, I'll always have one and I'm really happy about that.
ALSO Zazzle has, seemingly, endless 15% off and other codes so if you want to save now, you can. I imagine they will have more and if they do we'll let you know if the stuff dips to a price you'd rather pull the trigger on.
Thank you for naming a version after me!
Those are rad shirts. I appreciate the simple DOS design! And the purple looks pretty great :)
Ordered a shirt. You better put that $1.50 to good use!
Done and done!
There's the announcement I was waiting for! I noticed the new icon and hit Jon up w/ a message.
Jon, has your kid made my shirt yet?
I don't know but apparently he made mine because it just shipped!
Games coming to Super Nintendo Online included in the SNES Classic: Super Mario Kart, Kirbyâs Dream Course, Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2: Yoshiâ... Read All The Nintendo Direct today had a lot of great news if you love your Switch as much as I do. To me, the biggest news is that Nintendo Online is getting Super Nintendo games. The Super Nintendo is coming to the Switch tomorrow and launching with 20 games, which is as many as the Super Nintendo Classic included. Some incredible Super Nintendo Classic games are part of Super Nintendo Online but Nintendo is bringing 11 games that didn't make it the Classic to Super Nintendo Online and I've broken up the twenty games below:
Games coming to Super Nintendo Online included in the SNES Classic: Super Mario Kart, Kirbyâs Dream Course, Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2: Yoshiâs Island, F-Zero, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Star Fox, Super Metroid & Super Ghouls ân Ghosts.
Games coming to Super Nintendo Online NOT included in the SNES Classic: Stunt Race FX, Kirbyâs Dream Land 3, Pilotwings, Super Soccer, Super Tennis, Brawl Brothers, Demonâs Crest, Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics, Super E.D.F. Earth Defense Force, Super Puyo Puyo 2 & Breath of Fire!
On top of the 20 games coming to Super Nintendo Online Nintendo is also selling a wireless Super Nintendo controller so you can play your games because... we all need a new $30 controller.
Some other big news drops is that Overwatch is coming to Switch on October 15th and the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is coming in 2020. Divinity: Original Sin 2: Definitive Edition is available on Switch today which gets save game cross play with Steam games making this really appealing to Divinity fans that want to play on the go. Bethesda is porting Doom 64 to the Switch on November 22 which might be one of the best ways to play this game as it's not the cheapest game to buy on the 64. Tetris 99 is getting a bunch of all new game modes and Nintendo showed quite a bit from an all new Animal Crossing game.
What was the best part of the Nintendo Direct for you?
The big thing for me was the Jedi Outcast reveal. I had no idea that was coming to current gen with new controls.
I have Divnity: Original Sin 2 and most of the related games (I think I'm missing only one of them). I tried out the ones that came out before this one and only the one before it feel like it was worth playing, the others show their age. While I haven't played DOS2, I really believe that's it's a good game. I'm looking forward to playing it. It's on my "to play list" and I'll play it after I finish DOS. I did play a bit of DOS and I was impressed. The game/s is/are highly rated. I must admit, I'm quite impressed with how many games are coming to the Switch and the ones already on it, like CivVI, The Witcher 3, Ark: Survival Evolved, Skyrim, Terraria, Minecraft, etc. It definitely seems to have become Nintendo's go-to platform. I'm not really familiar with what people are saying about the Switch, but seeing as it's getting all these games, I imagine it's being received well. As I mentioned (to Jon & Travis), I'll have one soon (the new one w/ extended battery life and not the Lite).
Stunt Race FX! Oh man, I totally forgot about that game. Definitely going to have to relive that one.
If you like turn based RPG's, then Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 are absolutely must plays. Especially if you can grab a buddy and play co-op.

Read All There have been a lot of retro game re-releases in HD, 4K and some rebuilt from the ground up for modern systems like the new Link's Awakening Switch remake. 3D Realms has partnered up with Voidpoint to release a brand new game using a modern port of the Build Engine which was created in the 90's for games like Duke Nukem 3D and and Shadow Warrior. Ion Fury is a game very faithful to that 90's shooter vibe being that it's using that same tech ported to modern systems. It's a fun way to create something new with the old retro aesthetic and I hope more games like it are created.

"While Shelly âBombshellâ Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo DC, she knows itâs time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. Thereâs no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning."
That said, I really do think the idea of playing your games anywhere regardless of hardware is an extremely compelling concept to people that want to play games and not worry about what they need to buy. Will Google Stadia be ready for everyone at launch? I don't think so but if it comes with a free game I might give it a shot. Frankly my biggest problem in gaming right now isn't that I don't have games to play in an accessible way, it's that I don't have the time to play them. But really, working on Tale of the White Wyvern is just as much fun to in the end, that's not a bad thing.
I have a few problems with it.
1. Look at killedbygoogle.com and consider things that donât pan out get killed. Which is fine, but considering the massive investment required for this, if the service isnât profitable it will die, and your purchases will be lost forever.
2. This isnât Netflix for gaming like a lot of people compare it to. Itâs more iTunes for gaming. If it was a subscription for a ton of games that I can play whenever I would be all over this honestly.
3. Even if they stay afloat for 50 years, theyâve removed games from peopleâs Google Play accounts when they have a dispute with a publisher. You could just lose $60 because your gameâs publisher decides to stop selling on Stadia.
4. The any device idea is great until you consider, how the hell are you going to play Rage 2 or something on your phone? Youâd at least need a controller and even then, full console/pc games are made to look good and play well on large screens.
5. The one time I could think this would be the most useful is traveling, but what percentage of hotel WiFi youâve used has been decent?
6. You can stream 4K/HDR video on your tv and play a 4K disc, and you can tell a lot of difference in quality. The compression will always introduce some level of quality loss. So youâre always paying for an inferior product.
7. But mostly it all comes down to ownership. You donât own the hardware or the software with Stadia, youâre just paying for a license to use the software, that Google can revoke at any time. Digital distribution on PC at least has ways around that. Valve has said that in the event that Steam closes down, theyâll provide a way to get your games before it shuts down. Gog games are yours to do whatever with.
All good stuff to consider. Destiny 2 is going free to play at some point and I hope that transfers to Stadia because i'd like to try Stadia for free. Since the HD version will be free, I hope some game comes I can try.
But yeah, all you mention is a good reason to think more about it.
But one thing I neglected to even mention in that comment: Iâve talked myself out of preordering a couple times already. Iâm interested in it just from a technical standpoint and cool factor if nothing else.
Yep. Me too. I read something that the free tier won't get any kind of free games so to try it out we'll have to buy one which i'm really hesitant to do. Hopefully they add a free to play game at some point but that wouldn't make Google any money at all.
/shrugs I guess i'll just read the reviews of it at launch.
Mostly so I can try it before I buy anything. I don't get pre-orders for this. You're ordering something brand new, you can't try beforehand that people have done early reviews on where the servers were in the same building. Not like you can go to a store and try Stadia or anything.
2/10 needs more ray tracing!
LOL
I might be slightly biased but I think it's pretty neat.

That's pretty much what I was thinking, that I'm biased, writing a review of a Cheerful Ghost game on Cheerful Ghost. LOL
