Dig, fight, explore, build! Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint.

I spent far too long on this.

Sup CheerfulGhosters,

Our Terraria server has been a huge success I think. I've had a lot of fun seeing the houses everyone has built and fighting monsters with you guys. And I dunno about you, but I've ended up with a ton of new loot exploring and mining. :D

There's two things I'd like to run past you guys. First up, while exploring the underworld I found the item necessary to spawn the Wall of Flesh boss character (http://wiki.terrariaonline.com/Wall_of_flesh). We have a little over a week left on our server and I think it would be fun to try and kill this thing and put our world into Hardmode before we're done. However, this is not something I'll do unless it's cool... Read All

Tungsten recently mined out the ground under the new user house in our Cheerful Ghost Terraria game. WhiteboySlim, panickedthumb and I are marveling at its awesomeness.

Check it out for yourself, in the caverns under the newb house. Thanks Tungsten, its rad.

Hey.

The server will be open for business starting today(6/27/2012) at 8PM PST at the following location:

terraria.cheerfulghost.com port 7777

I decided there will be a game password, so hit me up in the comments or on Steam for it. I want to limit it to our direct friends to protect against any kind of griefing. Understand I want anyone that wants to to be able to play, so just hit me up or anyone else playing for the password and you can get it.

See you at 8! Oh and the image above is the starting newb zone. I wanted to welcome people to the game and I won't spoil whats on the signs on in the chest!

Recently picked up a few games from this years steam sale. The Bethesda pack, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 and Terraria. I started Terraria because it was a smaller download than Skyrim or Left for Dead and haven't stopping playing it! Its only $5 during the summer sale and I heartily recommend you get it.

I started out having no idea what I was doing and watched a tutorial video saying I should build a house to survive the night. I did that and survived. Then I built my house underground. Then I created a huge mine. The I started chopping down trees and planting more. Then I realized I could build a stone house/castle in the sky (picture above). Then I wanted to see how... Read All

Minecraft gets a lot of love on this site (and rightfully so, that game is great) but I thought I'd bring up another, somewhat similar game. I picked up Terraria last summer during the insane Steam sales that were going on after a friend recommended it. I've heard some people call this game a Minecraft clone, and they do share similar themes, but really they are two very different games.

Terraria plays like a 2D action/RPG/platformer with a heavy emphasis on combat and crafting. While overall I like Minecraft better, there's a lot more "game" in Terraria. In Terraria as you build houses and meet certain criteria NPC's will move into your village. For example: Once you... Read All
