I might go with the Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Classics bundle. Yesterday it was about $60, today it's about $20. Not much else on my wish list at the moment. That one's only relevant because of the announcement of Sega Forever.

I think I got both Wolfenstein games for $10 each during one of the last sales.

$9.99 is still a great deal, I think i'm just a bit spoiler by the old legendary Steam Sales of yester year. These are good but they don't seem nearly as nuts as the bundled deals we'd get back in the day. I remember picking up Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas and a couple other Beth games for $30.

I think the old days where the week-long discounts weren't stellar but the daily (and sometimes thrice-daily) deal switches gave intense discounts were better overall. I kinda get why they stopped it but still.

I remembered that DLC for Don't Starve called Shipwrecked. I also remembered Mortal Kombat, so I got the Komplete Edition. The Arkham Knight franchise is on sale, too, so I got the Premium version or whatever. All of that cost about $25. I think that's a sweet deal.

I ended up grabbing Shadow of Mordor because I hear so many good things about it. Can't beat that $3 price tag.

Also Mankind Divided despite the mixed reviews because I adored Human Revolution.

Virginia, because I love Twin Peaks and this game feels like that.

Ori and the Blind Forest because I have a friend trying to get me to play it and it looks really great.

And finally Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns because I was an oddball that loved XIII and want some more.

@Travis I have FFXIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns on the PS3. I haven't played much of those games, but I did finish the first two once. I'm not sure if I'll get them on Steam.

Yeah, they really are made for a TV. Sonic works great but Altered Beast isn't amazing on the touch controls. I looked in to how much an iPhone controller is and they aren't cheap. Still, free ain't a bad price.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls The Necromancer Arrives 6/27/17

With the release of a new "reel" Blizzard announces the arrival of the Necromancer for next week. You can find more details in the link below. It appears that we still have a week before we can purchase the DLC. I was kind of surprised that it only costs $15. I was expecting maybe double that and I probably would have been happy to pay it. New Challenge Rifts are being added as well.

I've been looking forward to this since it's initial announcement. Since I've played through the campaign twice with each class, once for each gender, I feel some hesitation on starting a new champaign. Since their full expansion cost $40 at launch, they'd be seriously shooting themselves in the feet if they tried to charge more than $20 for this.

I'm stoked, I'd pay $5 of that just for the stash tabs at this point, but the gameplay looks great!

What level of difficulty are you guys playing on? I think I'm on Torment II or III. As for skills, I prefer to use Syphon Blood or others that heal me. I also prefer to use either the skeletons or Golem. I like the Army of Skeletons, but it takes a long time to recharge, which leaves me alone, which sucks. Reviving corpses is cool, but you have to have corpses first. They also don't last very long. Corpse Explosion is pretty good.

What are your prefer skills?

Katie named her's Embeth after Embeth Davidtz, whose character was necromanced in Army of Darkness.

Started on Expert difficulty to ease back into it. I couldn't get into the siphon skills, I'm still using spikes, and throwing out wraiths and skeletons like candy.

And good god, the corpse explosions.

I'm not sure what difficulty I started on, but I kept increasing it as I saw fit at the beginning as I usually do. I'm doing Torment III now and I'm surviving at least.

Paragon level about 220 and I just now (hours ago) finally had an opportunity to go to the Vault. It was my first and only time. Cool stuff.

Also, my local friends told me about Elective Mode, it's under Options. It lets you choose whatever ability you wish to put in whichever slot, even if two abilities are on the same page. So now, I'm using Revive instead of Devour. I've been running around with the Blood Golem, but now I've added skeletons to that, too (both are on the same skill page).

Katie and I ran some rifts with a friend of mine who's been playing for like 3 weeks now, but he's gotten help to get boosted, so he's running T13. We basically stayed back while he destroyed everything. The paragon levels, gold, and loot were like candy.

I figure, we've put in our time. We played a ton before loot 2.0 and barely played since running Crusaders through Act V when it launched. And the game is designed for this to work, so it doesn't feel like cheating. But damn this guy playing for three weeks with such a higher paragon level, gold, loot, everything else than we had. The game has changed so much.

Griftlands Is The New Morality Bending RPG By The Creators of Don't Starve

As the smoke clears from E3 a few games I missed are becoming a bit more visible and I learned about one today from Klei Entertainment. Griftlands is a beautiful 2D RPG that looks to blend up elements of Borderlands, Banner Saga and old school RPG's like Final Fantasy to build an interesting.. rogue-like? I can't tell entirely if the game is a rogue-like or it's a standard story based RPG where you can choose a different starting character like Dragon Age: Origins.

I've played Don't Starve a bit, still kind of want to. They released another expansion for it that I haven't tried (it's at sea).

How Do You Actually Pronounce "Zebes" The Planet From Metroid?

The planet from the original Metroid is spelled "Zebes" yet some people pronounce it differently. Is it pronounced "Zeebz", "Zeebees", "Zehbiss" or "Zebeth?" Personally I grew up pronouncing it "Zeebs" but I've heard it said a couple different ways. Gaming Linguistics offers a nice discussion of the original Metroid games and then digs in to the official word on how Zebes is pronounced. The answer he comes to may surprise you! Cygnus Destroyer Video Game Movie Reviews - Mortal Kombat Annihilation

I really enjoy Cygnus Destroyers Innocent Until Proven Guilty series and he has recently updated the format to include reviews of video game films. The first video game films he reviewed is Mortal Kombat Annihilation and you need to watch it to see if it's found guilty of being.... ok, like who am I kidding the movie is terrible and he finds it guilty. I wonder if he will review a terribly panned video game movie and give it the not guilty verdict? Who knows, but I do know that I like that he is reviewing video game movies... now if he can get around to reviewing the Street Fighter movie?
