I am super-James-Brown-excited for this years PAX Prime, what with this being a new console launch year. Looking forward to meeting everyone from the site that can make it!

Me too. Thanks for reminding me, I nearly forgot about the new console craze. Should be interesting. How long will you stand in line to play the PS4?
For that, as long as it takes :). I'll probably line up for that first thing, day one. I was at E3 when the Vita launched, and the line went fairly quickly. I'm sure they'll have plenty of consoles there.

Interesting. Well maybe we should meet, because I don't mind standing in a few long lines and checking out the PS4 might be worth it.
That will probably be the one line that I'll dump patience into, especially if Destiny is playable. I want to see how that whole combination feels: a Bungie game on a Sony system, with the new DualShock 4. If an FPS feel good with that controller then I'll be supremely satisfied. I never liked the DualShock 3 with FPSs, just felt off for me, but felt right with everything else.
Th rest of my time will likely be bumming around the Indie corner, and the table top area. I want to finally play a game of D & D!

I think you want to see most of what I do, so if you want a line mate, count me in.
I haven't played a proper pen and paper D&D session yet. Somehow, it kind of scares me in a totally irrational way.
Unfortunately not, bean. My friend ended up selling on eBay. I'll ask around though. I heard rumor that there was one in our group that might have to leave early in the weekend for work. If there is anything there, I'll let you know.

That was super fun, and satisfying to beat finally, thanks to all of you!
The new avatar is a photoshop doodle I was messing with yesterday. Nothing significant, just blended colors and shapes that made me happy. Glad you dig it :).
I asked for everyone's favorite games a while back and a few of you responded. Scrypt's favorite was thatgamecompany's Journey, a PSN game that changed the way many people see the possibilities for gaming. I've played it before but I welcome the chance to get back into it.

We can't play together (or we might, but we won't know it) but we can play it and talk about it. If you're interested, fire it up next week and we'll talk about it in a post next Saturday. There's a free demo if you don't feel like dropping the cash for the full game. I look forward to hearing what everyone thinks!
Very cool event! I got a chance to play a little this week, and was looking forward to spending a little more time tomorrow. Cant wait to hear what you guys have to say :).

Really interested to hear more. Hopefully it'll help me decided which way I'm swinging this Christmas lol

Yeah, I think more information is good. I am not sure ill get another console from either Microsoft or Sony but I am really curious to see how it all pans out.

Let's continue on from where we left off last time. Pick your character, which ever you'd like to play. Something close to level 15 would be best.
The time isn't set in stone, so feel free to suggest we do it earlier since it's Saturday and we don't have work to deal with.

I'd like to recommend we play on Monster Power 1 if you are all in agreement. I've included the chart with how that scales, and as you can see it doesn't increase the difficulty that much but greatly increases the experience gain and the chance we'll find something good. With the strength in numbers buff you get from playing in a group, we'll outlevel the monsters pretty quickly anyway!

It's weird. You have to go into your settings to allow yourself the ability to change it. If you had no reason to go to your settings, and you haven't read about Monster Power, you'd never know it was there.
Most of us picked up Awesomenauts as part of the recent Humble Bundle or have had it for quite some time. This game is an absolute blast and I want to play it with you guys.
I am fairly new at the game, so keep that in mind :D

If you ever get one running on a Monday or Tuesday, I'm down. Got this "free" on PS+ last year and didn't care for it. Played it on Steam from the latest Humble Bundle and enjoyed it a lot.

That was great guys, thanks.
Clearly vdogmr25 was the MVP. Very fun. Learned a few tricks about team laneing and when to back off and push. That said the last level of bots we were at were kind of rolling me.

Picking this up on day one. If there is a way I can share my username with you in game so we can try out a match I will share it with you all so we can play a game that night if we want.
Alright I've purchased and set my profile name: Chowda Now waiting so I can get home and get this installed!

So far played a few matches after work and I really dig it. Still building up a strategy that beats Easy most of the time. That said, playing against even is pretty fair as far as decks go, they just employ some dumb strategy. Apparently I do too, as I win about 70% of the time.

Not sure how you add people to your friends list in game to challenge.
I've been trying to buy this all evening, but the store won't load :(. Guess they're doing really well!

After playing quite a few matches I really like the game. It seems saving up for the scrolls pack at 1000 gold is the way to go as opposed to getting a random card at a time.
Let's do the opposite of the last event. Five classes to choose from, four slots, everyone picks a class. To keep it interesting, lets shoot for a class you haven't played before if possible.

This isn't a naked run, so equip whatever you want, and if you have some gear you've picked up from other characters that can help along the way, feel free to use it.
Stick to the group as much as possible. I just found out today that there's a limited radius where the experience for kills counts for all players. http://i.imgur.com/bQfvz.jpg
We can either do act 1 again, or we can get our characters leveled up beforehand to the end of Act 1 and take on Act 2 this time. That way someone can use the barbarian from the last event.
Also while I'm here-- please share your ideas for future D3 events. These are fun! I would love to do a Hardcore Demon Hunter run. Basically "lets see how far we can get before everyone dies."
Also, if these times don't work, let me know. I made this late because of the time zone differences, but since it's a Saturday we could go midday.
I've never done demon hunter or witch doctor, mostly because those both seem crazy complicated and death-y. My Monk is 60+9, my wizard is 44, and barb is...whatever it is after our last run. So I guess I'm a demon hunter, since Trav is doing witch doctor...?
Witch Doctors are fun. Haven't played as a Demon Hunter. And you don't HAVE to go pets with a WD. Well when you get enough skills to effectively choose.
After playing today with you guys for a few minutes I totally dug Travis Barb character. It was so decked out. Plus with your Wizard, it was like no contest for hellions.

Barb opens up a lot when you get whirlwind. It's so fun, if a bit overpowered. Some people call it spin-to-win. :)
It had been forever since I played my wizard, I'd completely forgotten how much fun it is (and how very smite-y)! My problem with the ranged characters in D3 is that my entire strategy is to run into the middle of a group of monsters and start punching. Great for Monk and Barbarian, less healthy for ranged characters. Tomorrow night may just end in my repeated death.
I'm game! Trav and I were just talking about it, I think we're going to try to get me a witch doctor through Act I tomorrow--that's the only class I haven't played yet.
Vaguely related: We decided to speed-run the whole game after we finished inferno this afternoon and there are achievements for clearing each act in under 1 hour. Running level 60 monks through on normal difficulty is more fun than you might think! :)

It's a whole new way of playing the game. Trying to dodge enemies is a whole different feel than fighting them. But just blasting through an act in like 40 minutes or less is fun.
It's also amusing when they attack you and just explode. I don't know why, I don't even have thorns damage. They just explode. The Butcher even.
Single, strong Barbarian, seeking other Barbarians to wreak havok through Act I of Diablo III. Objective: Bring the Butcher to his demon knees.

The only one I haven't played is WD. Four WD's could be fun. ZOMBIE DOGS EVERYWHERE.
But Jon, Rogue? Did you get early access to an expansion I don't have? :) Or were you suggesting a Diablo 1 night? That could also be quite interesting if there's a way to pull the networking off these days.
