Bioshock was my first experience with a story driven shooter. I grabbed it on sale because I thought it looked interesting, then I played through it four times. Most shooters I had played prior to this were driven by the sole fact the enemy existed and they must be killed. With Bioshock, everything had a story to it. The Big Daddies, Ryan, even the environments had stories to tell of the rise and fall of Rapture. Also, you know the whole inevitable plot twist stuff that a lot of games pull? The kind you can see coming? Didn't see Fontaine coming. Blew my freaking mind. When I finished playing, I realized how they used the "would you kindly" to give a reason in the...
Bioshock Infinite... What is Infinite about it, I wonder...
1st Bioshock:
I tried playing the 1st Bioshock.. But stopped playing after a while coz my old comp could not handle it well, So I dont get "The Bioshock Experience" that many people talked about. But I do like the concept of "Big Daddy" n the "Lil Girl".. The Lil Girl reminds me of those ghost kids from Japanese Horror movies.. Aint that cool =P and the underwater city is really beautiful.. Makes you want to actually live in such city.. Without the monster and crazy people, of course =) Still looking forward to play this again someday to understand the story and coolness of Bioshock!
2nd Bioshock:

I need this awesome game to study its aspects to create my steampunk game for academy!
What was Bioshock like for me? It's kinda hard to describe. But I'm gonna try anyway.
First off, I had no idea what kind of game it is, never played System shock games for example(now I've played through the second one thanks to GOG and I warmly recommend it to everyone). So upon entering the game I encountered my first problem, there was no music! I managed to solve the problem but it was pretty damn annoying. I glad I didn't give up on it.
Going underwater was magnificent, atmospheric and beautiful. Never have I seen such a great water effect in a video game, flowing, reflecting etc.
Descending into the ruins of Rapture, uncovering the events that took place years...

God i loved this game, it came out at a time when i was in a multiplier slump. and there were no good story driven game out there and the bamm!!!!! Bioshock came out and i found myself love story once again, i found my make selections based on pure emotion and not just on what would pay out the best, i love the way they brought steam punk back to video games and popularized it again, i play this game for hours just looking at the scenery it was so beautiful. and then i got to the end and it was all over and i had to play it over and over every time i did a play through i saw something new. then they came out with bioshock 2 and i ran out a preordered, i couldn't wait...
My entry for the Bioshock Infinite Contest
When I first played Bioshock, I had no idea what to expect. Right away, the game grabbed me with its beautiful scenery and atmosphere. You felt like you were part of the world, it was real, it was plausible. Mix in some plasmids for interesting gameplay, and a fantastic plot with a plot twist I absolutely did NOT see coming, and it's one of my favorite FPS games of all time (with Metro 2033). The absolute best part of Bioshock was the atmosphere. It really felt like they created a complete world for the game to exist in, THEN created the game. If that makes any sense. Anyway, that's what I'm hoping for Bioshock Infinite, and...

The reason why i liked Bioshock was the environment you were in, an underwater city named Rapture in the 40's-50's and the enemies you fought were awesome in a creepy/spooky way. Also the amount of exploration and how you could just branch off, look for power-ups, and money. The powers were cool and the gun upgrades were awesome, was like steam punk looking. Also for the fact its not just run and gun but more like a survival/horror game, It had one of the most powerful atmosphere's in pretty much any game ever and is a master of diabolical mental manipulation. The big 'reveal' is probably the most memorable dialog in any game released thus far. great setting,...
I just recently got the game.. Tempted because I heard its hard and I found out that it really is a lot harder than normal games! I've died more than the number of my death count from all of my other games combined, in just one day.. lol..
Any tips? great class to farm, good weapon to use, etc..
