It comes with a dock already, so unless you break yours or want one on multiple TVs that's not a huge issue. But $99 does seem high. So far all I've gotten is a second set of joycons and a third-party handle thing for them. Dunno what you call that. The thing that the joycons slide onto to make it look like a normal controller.

I grabbed the pro controller today and it's everything I've ever wanted in a game controller. I want to use this on every system.

Also just a comment on that video--- that kid went to give his parents money for that, that's awesome, what a sweet kid. But his brother, I worry about him. Had no interest in playing the NES and just kept pretending to shoot himself in the face with the light gun. We need a "where are they now" follow up.

That $6 will either be worth $50 or a few pennies in a few days depending on who you listen to.

So far-- a Logitech MX Ergo trackball. It's been a while since I've done trackball over mouse, so this is taking some getting used to but it's great. Not for gaming, just for general computing. My wife and I were both drooling over it, and we both got the brilliant idea to buy it for each other.

I got Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Monopoly for the Switch and the book “Blood, Sweat, and Pixels: The Triumphant, Turbulent Stories Behind How Video Games Are Made”.

I used to do that with gamestop gift cards too, until I joined this console generation. I've enjoyed the brick-and-mortar experience of buying games again.

I’m a victim. It seems like Twitter has been ok and you’d hope people on Facebook wouldn’t troll their own friends but stay clear of Reddit. There have been people sending private messages to massive amounts of people with spoilers.

I play HQ Trivia and just kinda tune out the chat on it, but tonight I glanced down at just the wrong time and saw a big juicy spoiler.

It wasn’t a bad one. I don’t think it’ll take away from my enjoyment of it. But still come on people, have some decency.

I’m going Saturday night. Reserved seats so we can roll in right at 7:30 and be fine. My wife and I are going with a friend who hasn’t seen any trailers or any advertisement at all except for a still of Rey with a lightsaber so it should be an interesting perspective.

(But pleas don’t take my experience with Twitter to be an endorsement. There are still trolls about.)

Holy cow, that's a lot of games. The lack of SF4 is very slightly surprising since that game has a bit of age on it and the player base has probably mostly moved on. It could get some new and old players revisiting it.

Yeah that’s why I said “slightly” surprising. I don’t personally think it would slow sales of SFV but Capcom might think so. SFIV is nearly ten years old now and SFV is where all the action is these days. I doubt many who were going to buy SFV would have their mind changed by getting SFIV in a pack of games.

But something I hadn’t thought of— you can already get SFIV on all those platforms. You can’t get the older ones yet. That may be the main consideration. If people want to get it after they play 1-3 and all their various forms, it’s there waiting for them.

I played a lot of SFIV and it was fun but I just greatly prefer the old ones. I’m excited for this just because of getting them all in one go.
