I found some fresh news about the upcoming Disney+ series for Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. Indira Varma has been "reportedly" cast though no details of her character are available. You may remember her from Game of Thrones as she played Ellaria Sand, sister to Oberyn Martell who was played by Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian). The article also says that Ewan McGregor will return as the Obi-Wan we know from the prequelogy (that's what I call it) along with Hayden Christensen who will be playing Darth Vader.

I think this will probably be a really good show. The article states that "[t]he series will take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope." I'm looking forward to this one. I hope the success of The Mandalorian is just the beginning of Star Wars awesomeness to come. This should be true seeing as how more shows and movies are in the works.
"Shows featuring Boba Fett, Cassian Andor, Lando Calrissian, High Republic's The Acolyte, Ahsoka Tano, and Rangers of the New Republic. And yes, there are still more movies coming as well. The next Star Wars release is the Clone Wars spin-off animated series The Bad Batch, which arrives on May 4."
I'd also like to slide in a bit of news here, too, that I recall reading recently that said Rian Johnson's is working on either another Star Wars movie or another trilogy.
I think Disney+ is proving to be fantastic! What do you think about all of this? Are you excited for more Star Wars?
Speaking of Star Wars, incase you missed this (I put it in a link of another article I wrote in the forums), if you're a Star Wars fan, you must watch Patton Oswalt's "Star Wars filibuster" on "Parks and Recreation" (though I haven't seen the show, this clip is AWESOME and improvised). Check it out at: https://youtu.be/5BBhNkywMJY
I found some fresh news from the production of the Borderlands movie that I'd thought I'd share. They've cast Ariana Greenblatt to play Tiny Tina. Ariana played young Gamore in Avengers: Infinity War. The article also reveals (possibly not new news) other cast members including "Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, and Jack Black lending his voice to Claptrap." I think this seems interesting. I wonder how Jack Black will sound as Claptrap. There's currently no news of when the movie will be released, but at least we know it's in production.

It's interesting to see video games being adapted as movies, sometimes with success and other times with failure. I remember something I read recently about this and how movie makers have seen that video games have become a dominant leader in entertainment. What I read mentioned how, many years ago, movies would buy the rights to video game characters and such, but did not stick to the IP and instead took their own "creative" path. I'd say Super Mario Bros. (the 1993 movie) is a prime example of this. What I read stated that movie makers saw Sonic the Hedgehog as a success and have seen the value of video games. That movie did veer off of what we knows as Sonic the Hedgehog a bit, but it probably wasn't as off course as the Super Mario Bros. movie. In fact, there will be a Sonic the Hedgehog sequel and it may already be in production. If you watched that movie's end-credits scene, you'll notice that Tails will be joining Sonic in the sequel (and rightly so, I think). Monster Hunter is another recent video game that was adapted into a move, but from what I read it seemed to have flopped, although the movie itself most certainly showed the possibility of a sequel.
Let me know what you think about this announcement. Is Borderlands something you're looking forward to seeing? What do you think about how more video games are being adapted into movies?
If you're not yet drowning in movie and TV show news, particularly ones premiering on streaming services, here's a new one for you. Marvel's MODOK will appear on HULU on May 21. MODOK stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, so expect plenty of carnage. I'm not familiar with this character, so I don't have much to say about it. I did notice that MODOK is voiced by Patton Oswalt, who I've now seen in different Marvel and Star Wars related things. He was a part of S.H.I.E.L.D., in fact doubling or even tripling himself, it was cool. I like that someone who's obviously a fan of Marvel and Star Wars gets to be a part of those things. Thanks, man! I've just kept in mind to put video game news on main and everything else in discussion and let you decide. But, I'll work on this. Thanks again!
The movie news just keeps pouring in. Beavis and Butt-Head have just announced a new movie on Paramount+ and they haven't aged a day since they made their introduction to the world.
I've been a long time fan of Beavis and Butt-Head. In fact, I recently found my Beavis and Butt-Head "Frog Baseball" shirt. I remember wearing it the one and only time I tried skiing, which failed miserably. I watched MTV all the time during their reign. Ya know, back when MTV actually showed music videos. Back then, I would often get disappointed seeing the same episodes repeat. They made a comeback, but this time without music videos and I think that "sucked!" This might be interesting,... Read All

This might be interesting, or it might be really stupid (they are morons after all).
And yes, I remember their video game(s) too. I think I saw one on the PC and maybe the Sega Genesis or Game Gear (I had the latter).
What do you think? Are you or were you a fan?

So this is the third incarnation of Beavis and Butt-Head? Awesome. Iām with Will, I donāt need a new streaming service but I do want to watch this very much.
Also, I played the Beavis and Butt-Head game on PC which if I remember was a point and click adventure. I remember it being funny, but I never beat it. Iāve always found point and click adventures to be pretty impossible to reason out on your own without some kind of guide.
The one on PC had a bunch of mini-games, i remember enjoying those for a few minutes. lol
I played the hell out of the one on Genesis though. It had bits of adventure (combining items and such) but also platforming and shooting. None of the aspects of the game were what I'd call best in class, but they were good enough.

A teaser trailer for Spider-Man, with the name announcement!
I absolutely love the Sony/Marvel Spider-Man, and I can't wait for Christmas! Hopefully we'll all be vaccinated by then!

I donāt know if I trust Hollandās comment about Maguire and Garfield. I would guess Marvel and Sony wouldnāt want him giving out that info, so what else is he going to say?
I sure hope we are able to safely get back to theaters this Christmas, but I would expect this release date to shift if Black Widowās release date shifts, which I fully expect to happen.

It's been a long time since I've seriously played No Man's Sky. I mostly played it around it's launch and not too much after. It's received a lot of updates since then, so there's a lot of content I've not yet explored. Well, it looks like NMS is "the gift that keeps on giving." A new trailer has been released showing off the Companions update and honestly, I think it looks great. Maybe it's because I've always loved animals. Maybe it's the high quality of the video that impressed me, I'm not sure, but it looks cool!

What do you think about all this NMS content we're still getting? Have you explored any of it and have something to share? What do you think about this one?
I am incredibly impressed with how good NMS seems to have become! I don't currently have a PC, but if I ever buy a new one, I look forward to playing this again.

I'm still incredibly impressed they've not only given us a lot of new content and improvements since it's launch, but that they also have more planned. I don't think many games get this kind of treatment even years after launch. Perhaps it has to do with the rocky start (though I think I was fine with it). Maybe it's because the devs just have a lot they've wanted to add to it. But, I think this just definitely makes for a better game. I feel like any other typical dev team would have given up on it by now, perhaps already have released a second.

It looks as though the Mortal Kombat movie is getting a reboot and there's a new trailer for it. It looks better than the movie we got in 1995, but seeing as how that was nearly 20 years ago, that shouldn't be a surprise. I enjoyed that one (that theme song was awesome, I thought) and the follow up Annihilation we got two years later, but they were pretty "campy" (I guess that's the right term for it).

There are also two animated films. One came out in '95 and another last year. I think I saw the latter, though at the moment I can't recall as I've watched a lot of things as of late.
Scorpion's origin story revealed in first 13 minutes (warning spoilers for these minutes) along with a teaser trailer. I wouldn't call it a "major spoiler," but if you don't want the first scene spoiled and to know what happens to make Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion, then you should avoid this, but it's nice to note that the movie is sticking to MK lore): https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-mortal-kombat-movie-teaser-reveals-scorpions-origin-story/1100-6488900/

I like to think of myself as a patient person, though I can think of many times I wasn't. However, in reply to you, Adam, I got the feeling from that article that this isn't about making the movie better, it appears to be more of a corporate decision with hopes that more theaters will be open, thus hopefully generating more revenue. Though, I'm not saying that's a bad idea, I know the movie industry was hit hard due to the pandemic. I saw Godzilla Vs. Kong tonight and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a perfect seat at it's premiere without pre-ordering tickets. There weren't very many people there, though I live in a small rural area.
Yeah, it might not happen BUT the reason why I think they will hit this date is word on the street characters from Black Widow will be in an upcoming Marvel Show so they sort of have to drop it soon-like.

What show, Jon? Have you guys been watching WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? I have been and I LOVED WandaVision. I'd be happy to talk to you about it, we (or I) could create a post in the forums for us to talk about it (there I can also hide spoilers for others). Did you guys know that you can watch Black Widow (and some other movies) on Disney+, but you have to pay $30 for it, even if you're subscribed to the service? I think this is freaking (to put it nicely) ridiculous.
I would gladly pay $30 to watch Black Widow. That's not much more than I'd pay for a movie ticket, and I get to watch it from the comfort of my own house :)
I have Disney+, so I'll keep an eye out for it when it comes out! Thanks for the heads-up!
I'd gladly chat in a forum post about the Disney Marvel shows. WandaVision was amazing! So far Falcon and The Winter Soldier is only ok, but I'll keep watching it :)

See, for me, ticket prices are about $8 each (adult). I think a Blu-Ray might cost about $10-$30 (that is mostly an assumption along with a very brief look at Google and Amazon to see what Blu-Rays cost these days). I'm not aware of specifics, such as if you get to keep a digital copy of the movie (if you paid $30 to watch it via Disney+) and thus are able to re-watch it. That's kind of why it just seems pricey, to me, but it's also not the only movie getting this treatment.
Check out the forums, I'll create a post after I write this comment. :)
Since my son is very little, if I go to a movie it can be by myself unless we get a baby sitter which is rare during COVID now. The Disney+ $30 movie thing is odd as you have to have a sub to keep it? I donāt mind buying a movie for that much early, but not like that?

So, I didn't think the movie was bad, though I rarely see movies that I think are bad, I think of myself as being easily satisfied in this area. I thought I saw an article that said that the main villain in the movie isn't an MK original character, but that turned out to be false. Instead, and thus I may have misinterpreted what I briefly read, the main character isn't an MK original, however he is related to one. I thought it was interesting that Scorpion was Japanese (a ninja) and Sub-Zero was Chinese, yet Sub-Zero was multi-lingual, though Scorpion was not, except for the "get over here" (or did he say "come here" I've forgotten). I thought Kano was a funny character and it was funny how other characters treated him. I liked Kabal, too, in fact when I heard him speak I immediately thought, what if he was replaced by The Mandalorian, because his voice had that kind of inside a metal helmet sound. There were a couple of MK original characters I didn't recognize, but I now realize that's because I haven't played the games that they appear in. I guess this movie is perhaps better than the mid- to late-90's two that we got. I didn't think those were bad movies, but they were...I don't know how to describe them, "campy" might be a good word or "corny," I'm not sure. Perhaps one of the greatest parts of those movies was the theme music, which I think was good and popular. In this movie, you hear a version of the theme movie when a certain character appears. Then, you don't hear the theme again until the movie is over. There are also no post-credit scenes, which is something Hollywood has made us come to possibly anticipate these days. It's a great trick to get us to watch the credits. I think this movie is cool, though. I think if you're a fan of the games/series then you should probably check it out. Watching it and talking about it kind of makes me want to play MK, but then I remember how pissed off I get because the game kicks my ass. LOL I remember when the original game came out and I had the first two for my Gameboy. I think I may have had one for my Sega GameGear, too, but I'm not sure.

One great part of modern gaming is keeping old games fresh for new audiences and remasters are a big part of that. Hopefully Blizzard can dial this remaster in as there was quite a bit of discontent with the last remaster of Warcraft III. In the end I really though the WarCraft III Remaster was quite good but hopefully this one does better with everyone!
Here are a few notable features coming:
* 8 Player co-op * Revamped ladder seasons * Personal Stash increased from 6x8 to 10x10 grid * Shared Stash tab available to all characters on a single Battle.net account. * Transfer gear easily between heroesāno mules required. * Bring your characters and loot across all supported platforms. Retain your level, quest, progress, skills, and talents.

Yes! I have the Diablo 2 Battle Chest. I was definitely able to play it without mods. In fact, I didn't even know there were mods for it. But, I couldn't get past the graphical downgrade from Diablo 3. Since the game is getting a fresh re-skin, I am definitely interested.
So, I checked out the pre-register link. I see two versions and I'm trying to discover the difference, but I can't seem to find it. If you figure this out, could you let me know, please?
I did read that the game will be out "on or before December 2021." I look forward to seeing updates about this.

The difference seems to be the more expensive version nets you some Mephisto wings and pet in Diablo 3.

Ok, it seems I overlooked that. It seems that I don't need the Prime Evil Collection as I already have everything it seems to include, maybe with an exception to some of the cosmetic things, which I don't need. I do have some cosmetic things, though I doubt a pet Mephisto is something I have.
Speaking of Mephisto, it has been speculated that he will have something to do with WandaVision.

It looks like you'll be over to carry your saved data from the original game, if you still have it, into the remaster. And, just like some other remasters, it'll include a toggle to switch between remastered and original graphics.

Rage is a very hefty feeling but there is no need to be angry while you play it. I paid full price for Rage 2 at launch and I loved every minute of playing it but I could see a world where some people might play games angry after paying full price. If you see red after paying for things you are in luck because Rage 2 is entirely free on the Epic Games PC Store until Feb 25th. While you are there saving yourself a few bucks you can also get Absolute Drift for free too. I have no experience playing Absolute Drift but if my growing backlog is an indicator, I never will but will lament the fact I haven't.
