"Our incredible fans have been flooding our inboxes, telling us they want more Borderlands 2 content. We heard you, which is why back in August, we announced Headhunter 1: TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest, the first of the downloadable Headhunter add-ons. Today, we’re happy to let you know that TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest will be hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Steam and Mac on Tuesday, October 22nd – just in time for Halloween!

These Headhunter add-ons offer additional adventures that set you off on a series of missions in new areas that culminate with you taking down some rather unique bosses and claiming their heads to wear as your prize.

I recently watched an XBox One marketing video that I thought was interesting enough to comment on. If you know me I am no Microsoft fanboi or hater, I exist mainly in the "meh" space. That said, after watching this video I felt was worth talking about. I don't think I am alone on this one either so chime in with your thoughts.

The main premise of the video is the XBone is "future proof." They do this by claiming the XBone is built "for the future" and talk about the cloud, increased voice commands and the new Kinect camera. Whereas some of these features are cutting edge for sure, I don't think they strike at the heart what it means to build a console for the future.

"Nuclear Throne is Vlambeers latest action roguelike-like about mutants fighting their way through a post-apocalyptic world. The radioactive waste in the world allows mutants to get ahead by mutating new limbs on the fly, the abundant availability of powerful weaponry make the quest to become ruler of the Wasteland one fraught with peril."

Many awesome new games have come to Steam Early Access lately and Vlambeers Nuclear Throne is no exception. Hot on the Indie Games obsession with rogue-likes, nuclear throne spins it up some into a post-apocalyptic mutant gun shoot fest paradise. Right now the game is only available on PC but they do have this to say about where it... Read All

"In Spacebase DF-9, you’ll build a home among the stars for a motley population of humans and aliens as they go about their daily lives. Mine asteroids, discover derelicts, and deal with the tribulations of our distant future: meteor impacts! Explosive decompression! Unbearable loneliness!"

Double Fine just released Spacebase DF-9 on Steam Early Access for Mac, Linux and Windows. It was a game that came out of the Amnesia Fortnight that is now being given the full game treatment. The game looks very interesting and seems like something I would appreciate. A rogue-like sim game with a space edge to it and a level of random AI emergence that looks fun to experience.

"Humble Bundle with Android 7 includes six brilliant games ready to play on four platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. DRM-free soundtracks are also available for select games. Pay what you want for the time-honored favorite, Ticket to Ride, the tactical turn-based game, Greed Corp, the lovable limb-sprouting game Incredipede, and the 2-D adventure puzzler Anodyne. If you pay more than the average you’ll also get worm-on-worm violence in Worms Reloaded (includes mobile counterpart Worms 2: Armageddon) and the hilarious and raunchy role-playing game, The Bard’s Tale."

This is the first Humble Android Bundle I am interested in. Not only are all these games... Read All

I know, this has nothing to do with video games. That said, I send you waves of mad apologies. I love films and lately I have found some great "Halloween themed" movies on Netflix. Since the season of spook is upon us, I decided that it was appropriate to write about some really great films you might want to watch.

The Evil Dead & Evil Dead 2

Seems wrong to lump them together in a way because both films are so iconic, but The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn are available to watch on Netflix right now. The Evil Dead is a classic "cabin in the woods" themed movie that sets the stage for many horror films that came after it. It also builds the character of Ash... Read All

I decided to create a video showing off my Prison Architect prison and toss people a few tips on how I maintain it. It is the first really sustainable prison I have created and have just kept adding to it over time. It can serve 100 inmates and I no longer have issues with riots or much in the way of inmate fighting.

Let me know what you think and if what things have helped you out.

When Terraria 1.2 released we immediately created a Cheerful Ghost Server and so far, I am loving the new 1.2 update. @WhiteboySlim and I discussed the game in our recent Roundtable episode 6, but I wanted to write a bit about how the game has gone since. Specifically the new hive mechanics and addition of the Queen Bee boss fight.

Over the last few days we have been mining the hive and creating Queen Bee spawn items. I have really enjoyed this process and it has given us a ton more reasons to hang out in the Jungle. In Terraria pre 1.2 you would basically explore the jungle, get some items and never have a reason to return. With the new hive mechanics, Queen Bee... Read All

"Here's a quick look at some games being played with the prototype version of the Steam Controller -- the same version that we'll be shipping to 300 Steam users later this year. We'll post more demonstrations like this soon, including footage of some other game developers using the controller to play their own games."

In this awesome new video Valve shows off the new Steam Controller with Portal 2, Civilization 5, Counterstrike Go and Papers Please. The control of the games looks fluid and I like the varied nature of the games they are showing. The controller is pretty rough and is missing the middle display button, but it already seems very functional. In the video... Read All

Portal: Survive is a interesting fan film short showcasing Portal and Lab Rat the Portal comic that ties Portal and Portal 2 together. The video contains a bit more Aperture Science lore with GlaDOS and the "neurotoxin accident" that cleared the facility.

This is one of the better fan video game films and I recommend you watch it. There was another Portal fan movie created back in 2011 called Portal: No Escape. Both are quite good and worthy of a watch.
