Dig, fight, explore, build! Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint.

Today, Re-Logic has released some more info for what to expect in Terraria's upcoming "just around the corner" 1.3.1 update. Official controller support!

When the Steam Controller dropped, I was pleased to see an official configuration for it from the devs, but that just uses bindings mapped to keyboard and mouse inputs. This will allow other controllers to join the fun!

I'll definitely try this on release with a 360 controller, and I'm interested to see if native controller support will make the Steam Controller config work more naturally. Ultimately, I feel I'll probably stick to Steam Controller for about half of my playing and keyboard/mouse for the other half. But... Read All

We recently finished up another Cheerful Ghost Terraria server, and here's the bounty.

First, we did the fifth server in a normal world.

Then, we created a new world to try out Expert. Unfortunately I think we were getting burnt out on Terraria by then, so you can see that not much has been done in this world, but here it is if you'd like to play with it :D

But wait, there's more! For a limited time (by which I mean, however long this website exists) you can catch up on all the worlds you've missed with the Cheerful Ghost Terraria... Read All

Travis, WhiteboySlim and jdodson are back at it talking about what we've been playing, the upcoming games we are all planning on getting and then one of our favorite games Terraria. Terraria is a special game for Cheerful Ghost as we have been playing it for about 3 years and 5 group servers. We talk about our love for the game, the parts about it we love the most and our most recent server experiences. This may bring our total mentions for the game to damn near close to infinity.

We've all had games that we loved so much our time with them spiraled a bit out control. I remember playing so much Fallout 3 one weekend that as I left my house with my partner to go shopping I couldn't drive because I was so light headed. In the end I should have stopped playing a bit sooner but I had a great time.

Curious what everyones most played game is at this point? If you do the majority of gaming on Steam you can use Steamdb's calculator to let you know what games you spend the most time on. Plug in your public Steam profile and then sort by hours. It also calculates your Steam account value based on sale price of games but it doesn't take into account... Read All

After a time in beta Terraria officially comes to Mac & Linux to much joy. I've been playing it on my Mac and Fedora Linux machine and it works incredibly well. The Steam cross saves really make the experience really seamless. I consider Terraria a national treasure so it's good to see that anyone can play it on any of the major PC platforms.

"Mac and Linux Terrarians, your day has finally arrived!

We here at Re-Logic are thrilled to announce that we are officially launching the Mac & Linux versions of Terraria today! This has been a very long time in coming - and we know how very much the Community has desired these new Terraria platforms, so we are eagerly... Read All

Andrew Spinks did an interview with PC Gamer recently and details what's to come for our favorite terrarium simulator. Even though he won't be directly involved from this point forward, as he's moving onto a new project and eventually Terraria 2, the future looks exciting.

First up, he shared that updates would come more frequently, and in smaller chunks, possibly including new mechanics and alternate biomes. This could be good or bad, depending on your preference, but it will keep the community more active for sure and add tons of replay value (as if there isn't already infinite replay value).

In addition, he said that in the future they'd like to add mod support and... Read All

The open beta for Linux and OSX is (almost) ready to go! Steam hasn't quite caught up, it seems some people are still having trouble installing it, but it's there.

OneDrop Yoyos, a high-end yoyo company out of Eugene, Oregon, is making a yoyo called The Terrarian, and it will match the look of the in-game yoyo by the same name. The Terrarian is the most badass of all the yoyos in the game, dropping from the final boss, and you can have it on your desk soon, or learn to do tricks with it. :)

If that wasn't cool enough, check out the catalog: http://onedropyoyos.com/yoyos/

So many of the yoyos in game are OneDrop yoyos. Greg asked me in-game the other day what the little icon on most of the yoyos' tooltips was, and I had no idea, but I do now. It's the OneDrop logo!

The update is rolling out on Steam!

Get hype!

1.3 brings a host of changes, which you can find here: http://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/1-3-changelog.20617/

We're (of course) doing a Cheerful Ghost server. Join up here and play with us! http://cheerfulghost.com/Travis/events/79/terraria-1-3-server

The server will be launching soon, hopefully when TShock updates. If that takes a while we'll roll without it at first.

In what may turn out to the single largest update to the game yet, the Terraria 1.3 trailer launched today that was so stuffed with goodness Thanksgiving came early. Seriously, how much new stuff is teased in this trailer for the first time? I also found it pretty awe inspiring that they've sold 12 million copies of the game.... 12.... million...

Terraria 1.3 launches on June 30th and no word yet if that will include the Linux and Mac ports but they are adding in Steam cloud saves, which is worth the price of admission by itself.
