YouTube super-star CygnusDestroyer is at it again in this latest episode of Innocent Until Proven Guilty covering the retro title Superman 64. I like this series as he gives each game a fair shake and explains why games are not as bad as we thought or in some cases, why they are just as bad as they get credit for. By the end I found his verdict fair but I was hoping it would turn out a bit differently.

"Möira is an action platformer inspired by the early days of Nintendo’s iconic handheld. Influenced by games such as Kirby’s Dream Land, Kid Dracula, Megaman and Wonder Boy, Möira takes the good, memorable things from these titles and brings them to the XXI century in a new way — as it draws insights from recent games too."
After seeing Moira on Kickstarter and that it included a demo I decided to do a Let's Play of it. The above video is me playing the game for the first time and i'd say it went really well. The intro text scrolled by a bit fast for me to read it well and I didn't get how to do some stuff on the first try but Moria makes up for any of that being a fun and well made indie platformer. If you are looking to try it out I recommend hitting the Kickstarter link below and downloading the demo. Moira has been successfully funded but if you want in on the action there are 11 days left in the campaign.

The open beta is a couple minutes away and I wanted to show you the new Doom cinematic trailer. It's a fully CG rendered trailer using a song that sounds like it came from 90's alt radio. Seriously, this song sounds like a newer version of Saliva's Click, Click Boom with double barreled shotgun blasts to demon face visuals.
In a bid to push Cheerful Ghost to new heights of video game reporting... or that I simply had an idea that I wanted to try... I give you my four recent Hearthstone Pack opens! As with most things I'll provide a card by card commentary and encourage you all to join the conversation. I'd love to hear what you've been collecting and how that's effected your decks and gameplay.
For quite some time now for each Hearthstone pack i've opened I take a screenshot of it and date it and put it in a folder. I'm a collector of my own gaming history over time(large part why I built Cheerful Ghost) and love to go back and see what i've opened. It helps me understand my overall game progression and remember a time when I didn't have two Defender of Argus's or my first Big Game Hunter pull back in November of 2015.
Each one of these packs is classic as i've been saving all my gold(currently 4200) for opening The Old Gods packs.
Pack Opened 3-14-2016:

This pack open really changed a bad string of luck opening packs I mostly dusted. You can always get a bit of dust from a pack but I'd much more open this sort of thing. I got my first Mage Ice Block spell which is a staple of freeze Mage, my first Demolisher a card and my second Ancient of War.
I dusted the rest as they were dupes.
Pack Opened 3-23-2016(Image embedded in post above):

Besides the double Dragonhawk dupes this pack open is my most legendary open in months! Cenarius isn't a top flight Legendary but he is a really situationally useful card that mirrors the choice cards that define Druid. Do you need two 2/2 Taunt minions or simply beef your existing minions? The choice is great but the casting cost makes this card less desirable. I am not a Druid pro and learning how to use this card effectively has been fun.
Nice to open my first Priest Holy Fire. 5 health and 5 damage so what's not to love here? Maybe the 6 casting cost but then again I see this card get a lot of use in good Priest decks.

I opened this right after my Cenarius pull so how could this be anything other than anticlimactic? Getting my first Aldor Peacekeeper was really fortunate and it was nice to get my second Amani Berseker.
The rest were dusted as dupes.
Pack Opened 3-30-2016:

I run a very fun "Nicest Warrior" deck that focuses on weapon synergies and getting my second Dread Corsair makes that deck even better. Since Dread Corsair is a 3/3 with Taunt that costs 4 and 1 less cost per weapon power if you have a 5/2 or 4/2 weapon equipped you can cast this for free. I rounded out the open with my second Soul of the Forest and if I keep playing Druid I imagine i'll use both of them more over time.
I dusted the rest as they were dupes.
So those are my four recent Hearthstone pack opens. What have you opened recently?

Star Fox Zero will do a flyby for all Wii U owners this April 22nd and a new trailer just hit that shows gameplay and the new look. Fox and friends can battle foes in the standard Arwing flight mode and can optionally things to the ground as a Mech or Tank. I like how Star Fox Zero's new look is influenced by the original SNES title and pulls design elements from Metroid and Zelda. One of the big boss-like battles shown at 0:18 looks like it could come straight from Twilight Princess.

Many people are anticipating Dark Souls III coming out this April 12th on PS4, XBox One and PC. Today Bandai Namco released this absolutely crazy violent Dark Souls III animated short by the great shock horror director Eli Roth. Roth directed Cabin Fever, Hostel I & II, the Grindhouse trailer for Thanksgiving, Nation's Pride film within Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds(as well as starring in it), The Green Inferno and Knock, Knock. This Dark Souls short titled The Witches is pure eye popping Roth and it was so hilariously grotesque I offer a commentary for all of the major beats.
Strong Warning: This Video Is Very Dark But My Commentary Isn't
Feel free to read along to my commentary as the video progresses through time.
0:09 - Apparently in Dark Souls III the people making all the money are flag makers.
0:13 - Seriously a between the eye headshot with a crossbow? Someone's been practicing! I bet the person that got shot was impressed for a few seconds before the end.
0:16 - The first step that Protagonist Man takes splatters blood everywhere. The tone of this short has been set and There Will Be Blood.
0:21 - I wonder if people designing castles pick the decorations knowing that the inevitable undead horde will eventually come to occupy them for a thousand years? They look so good with adorned with web and corpse!
0:30 - Smash open a door and SURPRISE SKELETONS! You know, just another day at the office for Protagonist Man.
0:33 - Protagonist Man just earned everything that's coming next. Seriously, that rat was just taking a nap and then you happened.
0:37 - Usually I avoid heading to bright flaming doors and visions of hell flame but to each their own.
0:51 - Yeah... this is where Protagonist Man again sort of loses me. So... you you don't drink Witch oatmeal that glows yellow?
1:03 - Clearly there is very little business for these Witches running their golden oatmeal selling stand and they simply want Protagonist Man to try a sample. #appreciatethehustle
1:08 - I love how after Protagonist Man clearly needs to solve this problem with violence he immediately falls into a hole in the ground. #derptagonistman
1:14 - Apparently Hell in Dark Souls is a couple feet under the ground so how do trees exist? ARE THEY MAGIC TREES THAT HAVE NO ROOTS? #rootgate2016 #therearenowellsindarksouls
1:30 - I wonder if this guy took a bath in honey before going exploring to get the birds to do that?
1:32 - I applaud Protagonist Man's dentist. Clearly his benefits plan is quite good.
1:42 - Tip over the cauldron of golden oatmeal and it all heads straight for Protagonist Mans mouth. Think of the possibilities? A beer glass that when accidentally spilled contents go to the right place? A sippy cup that never lets a drop hit the floor? #witchesmakingriches #appreciatethehustle
1:58 - Golden Witch oatmeal turns you into Diablo? I am sure for 99% of Blizzard cosplayers this video isn't a nightmare, it's wish fulfillment.
2:05 - I wonder where those three Deer things that got vaporized were headed? I have a strong feeling it's back to the North Pole.
Curious what your take on this video is? I actually had fun watching it and the best part is that it's both disturbing and quite a bit of fun.

After a successful launch in Japan, Miitomo will be headed stateside this Thursday March 31st. Miitomo is a smartphone app that allows you to build your Nintendo/Mii profile and connect with your friends. The power of the app is in your ability to customize your online persona and Nintendo lets you do a bit of it for free and a lot more if you pay. I hope this is part of a big Nintendo push to harmonize all our devices together, but for now it's just a new way to create Mii's.
I'll be grabbing the app on Thursday and if there is a way we can friend each other let's discuss digits in the comments.

EA will apparently give away each of it's classic games from it's On The House program as there seems no sign that it is stopping. Recently they started giving away Medal of Honor Pacific Assault and if you have an Origin account, I recommend you pick it up.
"Survive the Pacific Theater. Experience the attack on Pearl Harbor, battles at Guadalcanal, and much more, all from the eyes of a U.S. Marine trying to survive World War II."

2016 is the year of VR and we talk about what's out there and what we think about the future of VR. Is this going to be a real thing or is it just fluff? Along the way we also talk about Stardew Valley the Indie farming mega hit as well as what we've all been playing and watching.
What are your thoughts on VR? Is this something you are going to get and if you've experienced it what are your thoughts?

Flicker user Cecilie Fritzvoid has some photos of some created StarCraft themed lego sets and after checking them out, I am ready for the official Blizzard sanctioned set. Sometimes you never know you want something until you see just how cool it could be, so yeah, can this happen? Plz blizz, blizz plz.

Yep. Yep, it is totally one of the worst games of all time. It's practically broken.
Yeah, he covers that in the video. I've heard stories but not seen much first hand. Matt does a good job outlining it.
I still want to try it sometime, just to see how bad it really is I've played Action 52 and wow, yeah that is pretty bad.
Is it just me or does Cygnus always look wet?
But yeah, I've played it a few times on an emulator and it's really truly bad. It's in the so-bad-it's-kinda-fun category though, like playing Big Rigs Over the Road Racing or watching D-list movies.
> Is it just me or does Cygnus always look wet?
I think it's nerves or a very bright system of lights on him.

I love bad movies, I haven't found a similar love for bad games myself.
I haven't thought about this game since it was released! I remember all the bad press it got.
Oh yeah I meant to mention-- it looks like lighting. I don't think he's *actually* wet :D
