Looks very similar to what I bought years ago. I honestly barely used it. Maybe I should find it and hook it up again. I never experienced the Mega Drive part of Sega, only the Genesis. I'd also like to note that TONS of Sega (Genesis and Mega Drive) games are available on Steam. I saw one package for over $100.

Master System, Megadrive, Genesis, wow that's a lot. All I know is I only had experience with the Genesis and Game Gear. My cousin and friends owned a Genesis, while I owned a Game Gear.

Maybe I've fallen for the trick, but just seeing it in action makes it feel that much more tempting. I'm not sure if I'll get it, but I haven't ruled it out completely. It would be awesome if it wasn't strictly limited to those 30 games. It would be sweet if it included the entire NES library (although probably more expensive).

I'm not sure what other games I'd love to see on it, but I agree that DuckTales should be one of them. (BTW I wrote "Duck Tales" in a previous post and the Internet shows it's name as "DuckTales," so that's why I've written it that way here.)

I'm not really interested in the party update, but I really like this picture! I also love the "when we run our next server" part of your post here! I miss playing Terraria with my fellow Cheerful Ghosts. Our next server should definitely be on Expert Mode. I'm confident that we can handle it together.

Well me and Vinny together have done pretty well on our Expert mode world, surprisingly. I've enjoyed almost all of the Expert mode rewards, but not all of them. The Slime mount most definitely helps against Eater of Worlds, although that's not the Expert mode reward. That one makes slimes friendly, even if you attack them. The Bee Gun is a great weapon against Skeletron, although again not an Expert mode reward. I've defeated some of the Expert mode bosses on my own, but not all of them. We haven't gone up against the Wall of Flesh yet, but they're definitely tougher. I think we were only able to defeat King Slime because we had a nearby hole in a hill where he couldn't get to us, but we could hit him with boomerangs, although his slime companions came after us. Still, with two or three of us with the right gear and the arena we usually use, we should be good. But yeah, it would be more difficult for casual play and those who join in late or don't play much, I can see that as an issue.

Oh and since we're talking about our Terraria server again, I have to ask, "when?" LOL

An interesting environmental change. I wonder if they'll just be purely cosmetic or if perhaps they'll give a debuff. It does snow instead of rain in the snowy biomes, but a blizzard would be cool. Maybe they could add hurricanes for the beaches, too.

I know the next update has to do with the underground desert as can be seen in one of her other tweets, perhaps even on the forum and wiki.

They should give the other biomes similar treatment. Equality for all! It'd be cool if they did some leaves for the forest biome, maybe that could just be a Fall holiday environmental event.

Yeah it all looks good, but I agree with Jon's comment after mine. I was going to say that all this is nice, but I'm more eagerly awaiting Terraria: Otherworld and Terraria 2. I want more Terraria damn it and other games just aren't up to par. LOL

Steam says I've already clocked about 300 hours in the game, so I've obviously played it quite a few times before 1.0 came out. At first, I think I went with the Avian, but once the Novakid race was released, I've been sticking with that one. I'm not really playing it much differently than before with the exception of the new story quest line. I've done some side quests, particularly for the tech upgrades. I still have all of my current crafting stations on my ship, but my ship can't really hold any more, so I may have to expand on to the planet.

I thought the opening was cool, although not very unique. How many games open up with waking up and running late for something? Still, I'm ok with that. Seeing the tentacles was cool because I remembered that was a planetary biome. I just watched a video (https://youtu.be/aDezPK-fceo) which explained many changes that are included in 1.0, like planets now have a variety of biomes instead of just focusing on one on the whole planet.

The Outpost seemed to run not very smoothly, so I went into the Nvidia Control Panel and turned on Vsync for the game. I haven't tested whether or not that fixed the issue. I've also run into an issue where I clicked "take all" on a chest and didn't get everything until I clicked it twice. Also, I don't know how to tell how many pixels (currency) I have.

Anyway, it's cool and so far I like what I've seen. It's nice to have been a part of an Early Access game and watching it evolved to 1.0.

I think having a narrative helps drive progression. Telling a story is cool. However, Terraria doesn't have that same kind of narrative and it's perfect as it is, so I see your point.

Yeah there are ship upgrades, but from what I saw, you get those now from having crew members, so the process isn't as straightforward as before. Perhaps my understanding of the new way is incorrect. I do some pieces, but I don't think that option is available to me just yet.

I did finally build on my starting planet. I made a small place for some of my crafting pieces of equipment. I also bought a new Colony Deed and got someone to move in. Then I had to help her rescue a friend, who also moved in. Now she wants me to build a new place with furniture that a Glitch would like to get one to move in.

You still don't need fuel if you're travelling to planets within the solar system you're already in. That's quite helpful. I scanned most of the things I needed for a quest, but have to find the remaining things I'm missing.

I just bought the game for my son, he's working on getting it installed.

I have this on Steam, and I was really interested to play, but I was having issues with performance. I did recently upgrade RAM, though, so maybe now is a good time to give it another go. Thanks for the reminder!

Yeah, still not playable for me. It's weird. The "detected" settings put me at Ultra, and I more than meet the recommended specs for the game. The frame rate is just unbearably slow, no matter what I put my settings at. Trying to look around for solutions...

Well, I guess I'll have to wait until I upgrade parts of my system? I don't know. I was a Kickstarter backer, but by the time I got around to playing the game, it was month's after release and I just got frustrated with trying to make it work. Maybe I'll pick it up on PS4 when it goes on deep sale someday? Really would like to play :)

I like that you mentioned Duck Tales. I remember playing it when I was about 12. I enjoyed it. I haven't looked at the remastered version, but (since you remind me) I may. I enjoyed Mega Man back then, too. I do have the Legacy Collection on Steam, which at least looks so much better, but I've hardly played it. I was a big TMNT fan back then, too, and had that Gameboy game. I also enjoyed Super Mario, but the first SMB game on Gameboy was difficult, at least that's what I remember of it. My gaming was somewhat limited to a Commodore 128D and a Gameboy. My cousin, however, had a Gameboy, NES, and Sega Genesis. So, I always enjoyed visiting him and playing a variety of games with him. In fact, I strongly believe those moments are what I cherish most of my childhood memories.

At present, however, I'm really not interested in platform games. In recent years I've found Mario games to be much more frustrating than fun. I haven't tried Super Mario Maker, but my son has played it.

These days I think I'm more interested in games that feature an open world, exploration, RPG elements, crafting, and surviving. I am looking forward to the new Zelda game which seems to contain many of those elements.
