Stay rad.
Looking forward to hearing your reporting!
I am too :D
Request: You must play Departed and report back! :)
I will do that. Pictures will be included. If I remember to take them.
:)
Hey, if you see a game called "Ironclad tactics“ would you mind checking it out? It's made by my favorite Indy dev.
I will. Noted to check out.
Just barely started the game. Lost an online game 24-21 and started a Coaching Career, but the EA servers were down for most of the time, so I didn't do a lot. But, it looks so good! Gonna be playing this a lot! Epic Madden 13 Intro. I put the disk in, fired it up and was totally not expecting to see something like this! So rad!

Fun. Looking forward to checking this out!

Then I hit act 2. Oh man, did I ever hit act 2. It's pretty hard. My gear is probably to blame, but I was hoping to actually find some gear along the way to act 2 that would help me when I started the act, but I wasn't so lucky. Looks like a trip to the AH is in order. So I beat The Butcher in Inferno. I know, no big deal, it's been done a million times already, but it did feel pretty damn awesome to take my fresh level 60 monk all the way through Act 1 with no troubles at all.

Progression then wall... :) Sounds like Diablo to me.
Ive been playing an hour here and there with my WD. Been much more fun lately. Gear is fine and with that I believe I am pretty overpowered for nightmare. Right... Still in nightmare :)
How is Diablo 3? I've heard from many people that it isn't nearly as fun as the earlier ones.
I'm an outlier. I think it's more fun than the others, but for different reasons. Well, I barely ever played 1, but 2 was more addiction than fun for me. 3 is really and truly fun. There are major issues, but the gameplay, the grind, is fun.
I can see why the really hardcore players could have problems with it; it has some major differences from D2, and those changes go against what the hardcore players grew to love.
That said, For the general public its a great improvement, and they also seem to be addressing some of those other problems.
The launch was atrocious though. They deserved to get blasted on that.
Right the launch was poor. I agree that they are addressing the issues now. Its not perfect, but it is much better and I look forward to the next set of updates.
I still need to do this. I stopped at Hell act 1. I imagine ill make it to Inferno at some point.
Have you played it much beyond this in Inferno Travis?
Wow, 8 months ago.
I haven't gotten past that really. Act 2 was so much harder. I need to get back into it after all the updates and see how it plays.
Yeah, good idea. I still also want to play Torchlight 2 as well but the Hal and slash RPG'a just are not calling my name right now.

Read All After completing a ton of quests in Whiterun I decided to pick up the main quest and make my way to the place to meet up with the Greybeards in the mountains. From Whiterun to the destination it looked pretty close but as I made the journey I realized how far things in Skyrim can be. The journey took me over grasslands, rivers a bridge and to a town at the summit of the 7,000 steps. The 7,000 steps leading to the area the Greybeards inhabit.
Ivarstead is the town at the mountain summit and I talked to a few people and rested up at the Inn. There were a few town quests, one being to check out a haunted shack at the edge of town that I haven't started yet. Hanging out in these small towns is fun, nice to see every town in Skyrim isn't "Whiterun sized." I picked up a quest from a NPC on a bridge to take a sack of food to the top of the mountain for the Greybeards. He said the only stuff he encountered on his trip up were the occasional wolf or rabbit. Yeah, that was pretty misleading as I had a few sizable foes to kill on the way. One Frost Troll killed me 5 times before I put it down. Apparently many players had problems killing that one too from a few Google Searches on the topic.
Summiting the mountain was fun. Its was cool to see the weather change and read the text of the stones on the way to the top. After I hit the steps I snapped the above image and saved. I want to enter High Hrothgar in a later session.
Ah so, this is another one ive heard much about. I love co-op games so I will be adding this to my list to look into.
Thanks!
Yeah, its a great game. I picked it up on a steam sale and bought the four pack for the price of the normal game. Had a blast playing it.
Good to hear its great on the PC and not a bad port.
When its on sale again, ill nab it.

Read All The Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative is a really fun map editor and sharing platform. Making maps and sharing them with friends really brought me back to my early map making days with Wolfenstein, Doom, Warcraft 2 and Starcraft. Looks like Valve is taking the Perpetual Testing Initiative one step further and allowing people the ability to make co-op maps!

I've been curious about it. It looks like loads of fun.
My brother had it while I was staying with him this summer. It was a good time, especially once I figured out what the hack I was doing. I enjoyed the stealth character.
So is this game a Diablo like? Wait, good is my friend....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B53Z40u9DnE
From the trailer it looks like a Saturday Morning Cartoon similar to Super Smash Brothers?
Err I meant "Google is my friend" not good...
More like Contra meets DOTA.
Ah ok, sweet.
I just picked this up in the recent bundle and your right BR, this game is very good.
Pickup and play is high and its very fun. WAY more accessible than typical MOBA's too!

ITS OVER : 3:00PM
Really? JENNY MURPHY and KEITH MURPHY? I have a feeling you're using fucking alts.
Its not alts. Its called family members bro.
My moms side is all Murphys. check towards the top. ryan murphy is my cousin. and Moody and richardson is my other side
Maybe, but the time interval of these posts are bothering me. But whatever. If you win, you win. But It pisses me off that you're going to win by a haiku that's not even correct. But if the person who owns the site wants to change the rules, that is his choice.
Because putting them togheter, editing them into making a related haiku is "stealing"? Yeah. Thanks. Seriously, If Jacob wins, he wins. I'm upset, obviously. But who wouldn't have been after getting so many votes.
You didn't even create your own haiku, you just stole lines from other games and pasted them in the lines of a haiku
And you didn't edit them. They are direct quotes
Well dude i knew you reported me and honestly I would have gave you a comment paying my respects for competing with me. But It just struck me as crazy that you reported my haiku when my is directly about info released for borderlands 2. Obviously yours was for humor but you didn't see me jumping on it and I didn't try to turn you in for it either.
I edited it to fit with the syllables. The direct quote is "Cut the flesh". I wrote "Cut flesh.". It's Borderlands related, and I thought it fits with the punchline. I get it, you hate it.
I'm sorry jacob. I don't mean to be angry on you. I've just been trying too hard. I'm really sorry.
Congratulations though. I hope we can put this behind us.
"Paint the man, cut the lines" is from amnesia. Which has no relation to borderlands. It has to do with performing surgery on people.
And yes BR, I know. That's why the punchline is there. Don't get your knickers in a twist like I did. I'm bad enough for going topsy-turvy on Jacob.
I know, just getting defensive. My bad.
No, it was all my fault. I shouldn't have been so upset. I guess I didn't know enough people.
It's okay and thanks. congrats to you too man. It was a lot of votes and im sure you have lost equally as much sleep as i have i havent slept in almost 52hours. I wish you good luck in all the future prizes that im sure they will give away. I didn't hate your haiku by the way. It was clever.
Thanks. I actually found yours fantastic. But I was really bothered by the invalidness. I thought I had won until I saw the whole rule changes thing. And I didn't really lose any sleep because of my time zone.
Well I have actually put up on feedback for the site a suggestion a few days ago to jdodson about making the contests apart of a steam community giveaway on steamgifts. Like you register for the site and then can get added to the steam group. So that way hopefully its less vague. I to was also confused on the symbol things i mean i knew how many is in a normal haiku but everyone who had already posted had some slightly off so i wondered if that was even a requirement at all. I had two versions made and went with the one that simply sounded better in regards to applying to nature and communicating it back to something in the real world.
syllables* sorry my typing is horrible right now from all the sugar and caff. I've gone through to stay awake.
First off, thanks to both of you for resolving this dispute amicably. It's always better for all parties when cool heads prevail.
I helped jdodson come up with the contest and, in hindsight, we should have been a lot more clear with the rules. It's our first giveaway, so mistakes were bound to happen. We decided to err on the side of acceptance rather than denial since we weren't clear to begin with, and some invalid haikus had been submitted with a lot of votes already.
In the future we will be more clear about things, and we had considered a private group giveaway through SteamGifts but decided to go with one to foster creativity :)
At any rate, I just made a post about this here: http://cheerfulghost.com/panickedthumb/posts/584
We have some confirming to do over the next 24 hours, and then we'll make the official announcement!
