PAX today - WOW. I am continually floored at the dedicated community that are gamers. From the most intricate cosplay costumes, to hardcore e-sports fanatics; gamers turn out in mass for their passion.

I saw lines to play unreleased games that were a multiple hour wait. I went to panel discussions where the entire room was dead silent in anticipation of developers sharing their knowledge. I watched the League of Legends tournament live and the crowd was louder than any professional sporting event I've ever attended.

This is why I love the "nerd/geek" community, this is why I love gaming.

Taking a few minutes to post a bit about PAX as I wait in line for a panel on PC gaming. Nothing could have prepared me for the scale of this convention. The amount of video game fans present and eager to tear through the endless halls of video game culture is incredible.

I heard there were 60,000 tickets sold and that doesnt surprise me. Had to take a few breaks away from the crowds due to the scale and intensity of things.

I'll post more tonight, with pictures and more awesomery! Having a good time with the army of nerds.

I can't always visit cheerful ghost but one day, when i was sitting on your site, i saw this little cute cheerful ghost and that gave me an idea, and this is what it turned out to be:

Cool new Borderlands 2 trailer narrated by a new character, Sir Hammetlock. In this 7 minute video he gives an awesome run down of the new classes and some characters skills. A few new enemies are shown as well as some gun and grenade abilities.

This game looks epic!

Happy PAX day!

Skyrim Hearthfire, the newest DLC. I don't know if I'm so crazy about this one, but will probably check it out at some point.

I have the iPod version and I have to say it is not my favorite. I like to earn awards, but the awards for the Europe version are not easy to figure out. As I already posted, I do like the board game version and the handheld version of US.

Leaving for PAX Prime in Seattle tomorrow. Reading over the presentations and noting which ones I want to attend:

"Epic Games Presents: Fortnight Reveal"
"Behind the music of blockbuster video games"
"After notch the new minecraft team"
"Which Interactive Lie Did I Tell: A conversation on game writing with Chet & Erik of Valve Software"

I plan on hitting up others but these were the ones that stood out to me.

According to Bethesda Doom 3 BFG Edition will be playable as well as Departed. Gearbox will be showing Borderlands 2 as well so I will have much to write... Read All

Epic Madden 13 Intro. I put the disk in, fired it up and was totally not expecting to see something like this! So rad!

Just barely started the game. Lost an online game 24-21 and started a Coaching Career, but the EA servers were down for most of the time, so I didn't do a lot. But, it looks so good! Gonna be playing this a lot!

So I beat The Butcher in Inferno. I know, no big deal, it's been done a million times already, but it did feel pretty damn awesome to take my fresh level 60 monk all the way through Act 1 with no troubles at all.

Then I hit act 2. Oh man, did I ever hit act 2. It's pretty hard. My gear is probably to blame, but I was hoping to actually find some gear along the way to act 2 that would help me when I started the act, but I wasn't so lucky. Looks like a trip to the AH is in order.
